I was gone for several weeks and during that time I received texts letting me know how the cats were doing. Bonnie, who is very shy, actually came downstairs when Donna was there, which is amazing. Along with taking care of the cats, the Sunshine Puppy team watered my garden and indoor plants at no extra charge. When I got home, the hall lights were on to welcome me. After previously experiencing dog walkers while living in San Francisco who walk huge packs of dogs and mix large and small breeds together, it was a breath of fresh air to come across Donna. She takes dogs to play groups in private yards so they can pace themselves in play and are protected from the general dog park, and when she takes them on walks she matches similar dogs as far as stamina and speed. She is also willing to be flexible in terms of how many play groups/walks per week, which was not the case with dog walkers I worked with in SF (with them, it was either 5 days a week or nothing at all). Aside from all that, Donna is such a caring, wonderful, and responsible person. My dogs and I all love her! Donna also provides referrals to dog sitters when she is unable to do overnight stays when I've taken business and personal trips out of town. You can't go wrong with Donna!

LOVE THEM. They've been taking my sweetie out for a couple of months now and she always comes home totally pooped and happy. Yoga Dog leaves me a note about Lylah's day and even sends me pictures while I'm at work, which is totally awesome! I've learned that my dog is quite the lover and often gives kisses to the other dogs when they get in the car. When Lylah doesn't go out all day for playcare (that's the daylong outdoor trip Yoga Dog offers) she mopes around which is not cute. I highly recommend Yoga Dog if you have a full schedule and need help with walking your dog, or if you just want your dog to have the pack experience. It totally beats those doggie daycares that are all over the Bay Area that keep your dog confined to a play pen all day. Every time our little one goes out with Yoga Dog, I trust she is getting the best care, attention, and high quality playtime I could ask for. They have worked with our pup on some of her difficult behaviors, and they always give a report card telling us about what she did with them that day, with some sweet note that lets me know just how much they enjoy and appreciate our unique dog. I'm just thrilled every time Willa gets to go out to play with them. The fact that they're both SO nice and caring AND that they're environmentally conscious is just icing on their already fabulous cake. I have a 6 month akita and my friend has a 1 year old husky. You know how in cartoon's when two character's fight you see nothing but a tornado cloud and random interjections flying around like $#$%. YUP! that was our dogs. Chantale corrected that immediately and by the end of the session both dogs were able to walk next to each other calmly. She also never made it seem like there was a time limit on her session. She answered ALL my questions, and I sure as heck had a lot. It wasn't just training that she provided I noticed the attitude change in my pup. She did a lot more head snapping (looking towards me for commands) and she's beginning to recall without treats! We love Chantale and will be back to her for a family training session =)

Soon after, we started training with Kate, and since my husband and I work a lot we didn't spend time training her. Our dog was also acting out at doggie day care and picking on dogs. We instantly liked Kate. She spent a good detail trying to understand our daily routine and gave us fun assignments for the week to practice with our dog. As for training, we have gone through Sirius, and it's great to be in a group class, but nothing beats a 1-1 dog trainer. It's worth the money, trust me. Kate also answered all our questions how to manage a terrier. I really took to Kate's training, too. I think the big plus is Kate has a solid background in behavior science, and she can explain it clearly. We went through 6 sessions with Kate and by the 5th session, I noticed how our dog has changed and how she started to bond with us more. We also tried out Kate's agility course and I highly recommend it. It's a lot of fun! We are even thinking of making a couple little agility courses to better connect with our dog. She boarded with Kate and seemed to do well - enjoyed being there, was relaxed and clearly well cared for. Leading up to the boarding we did some training with Kate. This really transformed my perspective on my relationship with my dog - we had worked with other trainers and taken classes but Kate offers a special combination of education, compassion and first hand knowledge that I had not yet found. But what if my dog doesn't like other dogs!?! And needs to be walked on-leash, on her own!?! Not only does Michelle offer solo walks for super reasonable prices, she's also flexible on days/times of the week (some weeks she walks our girl twice, others she walks her every day) and most importantly she truly cares about our pup. When she first started walking our pittie, she asked to come to a session with our trainer so she could reenforce what we were teaching our girl on their walks! Didn't ask to be paid, just showed up! When it's hot out, she takes our girl to a secret beach so she can play off-leash in the ocean without having to worry about other dogs. When it's cool, she has secret fetch spots. And after COVID hit and we hadn't seen her in 6 weeks, our girl FLIPPED OUT WITH EXCITEMENT the first time Michelle showed up to walk her again. So seriously, stop reading reviews.
