We almost overlooked Grateful Pets because it wasn't on Yelp, thankfully we managed to connect with them. They are the closest to our house and the boarding is in an outbuilding on a small farm. We took our old man over for a visit and we were impressed with the owner's caring kindness. We dropped him off and left for vacation a few days later. We got email updates while traveling and when we returned he was healthy, happy and well fed. They keep a pot of "hot slops" which gets added to the kibble. I'm pretty sure he didn't really want to come home. They said he also enjoyed the daily walks in the pasture. These are good people who take great care of their guests while their owners are away. They also do grooming and training, if you like that sort of thing.

Finding a new groomer is always an anxious process for us as it's not only important that they do a good job grooming, but also that they offer a friendly and fun environment where our little girl enjoys her beauty sessions. After some extensive searching, my wife discovered Pet's Friend Mobile Grooming. After some Q&A with the owner, we decided to give them a try and are glad we did. Gabriel pulled right up to the front of our house, introduced himself and showed us his setup so we could be at ease, and proceeded to get to work. He left the van door open most of the session so we could always look out our window and see our girl pretty relaxed on the grooming table while Gabriel worked his magic. He spent quite a bit of time on her in the end and definitely did not rush the process. And the end result certainly showed his skill at his craft and attention to detail. We loved his friendliness and professionalism. As well as the sheer convenience of having the groomer come straight to us. They arrived right on time, parked a big van mobile grooming salon in my driveway and took about 90 minutes on each dog. The dogs are happy to not go into a new stressful environment and thrilled to get in and get out quickly. Paolo did a wonderful job and his calm energy worked wonders even on nervous Nelly Finnegan. I didn't have to drive across town twice to drop off and pick up. (Gas ain't cheap!) And, I had a very productive day inside while they were outside. Time is valuable! I tried Curly Doodle Dog Grooming last time and they were okay. This is a better use of my time, much less stressful on my kids and it only cost about $25 more total.

I travel Monday - Thursday so it was imperative that I find someone reliable to take care of Oliver during the day while my roommates were at work. Rhonda started walking Oliver when he was 12 weeks old and has been walking him ever since! There have been several times that I've had to travel at the last minute during the week and on the weekend and Rhonda has been available and willing to take Oliver at the drop of a hat. I've scheduled Oliver for two walks a day and Rhonda often takes him for the entire day. She sends me updates through out the day and even sends pictures! Since I'm not in San Francisco during the week its nice to receive pictures of Oliver happy :) I can't imagine a better dog walker for Oliver! I'm pretty sure Rhonda has become his preferred companion and probably wishes he had two walks a day on the weekend!! I trust her implicitly and especially recommend her to anyone with a special situation like my own. She's made my puppy feel like he's got a second mom during the week!

I had a really hard time finding a dog walker who I could trust and who could meet the needs of a…read moresmall breed dog who was, at first, nervous around big dogs. There were many people who would happily walk Eevee, but would have thrown her in a group of 5 or more big dogs! This would have made her anxiety around big dogs worse! Luckily, we found Lauren with Dog Meet Dog Marin! Lauren has been walking our papillon pup, Eevee, for about 6 months now. I am so grateful to have found her, being the overprotective dog mom that I am. I should be clearer, Lauren does not just walk your dog, she provides complete care by reinforcing training, appropriate exercise and socialization with other dogs in appropriately put together group walks. She takes the time to really get to know your dog and sends me cute updates & pics via text when I'm stuck at work. Our pup is a much better behaved dog because of Lauren. She freely shares resources on training which have been really helpful in building our pup's focus.
