That was stated by me upfront. I have been buying and selling gold and silver for 40 years. If you are looking for the best price, I would recommend elsewhere. The margin charged on my sale was well above 10% on spot price! (It was an inconvenience to go elsewhere and wanted to get the sale done so I sold). I asked for a $100 bump on the offering price (1.7% of total offered) and immediately got the 'poor me', 'no profit' routine. Despite the 10% discount to spot they were charging (example: I sold 1 oz bullion gold coin and got $3700 despite spot gold this morning over $4000). I never post comments but feel a warning is appropriate if you are in need of selling assets. Also, buying for that matter. If they are doing this on the sales, I can only imagine the prices to buy are also better elsewhere. In addition, if I was looking to buy something the place is awful to shop in. Clutter, clutter, clutter. I have no idea how a buyer could even think in there. I have an MBA and was a CFO, I never understand people who do business this way. Anyway, like I said I never make comments, but in this case I made the exception. Hope it is helpful.

On a more personal note, I took my very sick Mama's ring in to be repaired. We told the owner the story of the ring and how my brother and I gave it to her when she and Daddy were divorced. He REALLY took in the story. When I came back in (just a few days later) the ring looked better than it ever had before. ~and I'm SURE that he didn't charge us enough. I'll never go anywhere else. She never took it off for several years in 1970's. She still came back to it on occasion for the next 45 years after that. It was just costume jewelry and the decorative color had worn off the metal pendant. One night I was showing my mother's jewelry to my daughter. She thought this piece was particularly pretty. I took the cameo pennant into Falls Jewelers to see what could be done to make the piece something that my daughter would value forever. They suggested creating a base for the cameo in silver that was more simple and would showcase the cameo. They also added a nice bale to the pendant. The finished product is beautiful. My daughter loves it. It has monetary value as well as sentimental value.

My husband even found an album in perfect condition that he had been wanting in the one dollar bin. This was a bit of a drive from where we live, but it was beautiful scenery and it was totally worth driving here. I highly recommend if you are looking for music. Tip: parking can be found on the side of the little strip mall they are located in OR you can drive all the way around to the back and enter in the store at the rear. Just be careful and avoid the potholes.

It's a small shop right on the street, so you have to be on the lookout, otherwise you could miss it. I got there right around the time they opened and was greeted by Ronnie and Beth. Immediately when you walk in, they've got two units of $1 records with a lot of good stuff to browse through. The overall selection is not as vast as other stores in the Charlotte area, but still stocked with quality vinyl. The music in the store changes every few minutes, and that's because they clean all of their records (except the $1 choices) and test them before pricing them and putting them out for sale. If you're looking for a shop that may have some reasonably priced gems that haven't been picked through, definitely check these guys out!
