I was recommended this place by a friend to sell some jewelry. This place in comparison to others was by far the most professional and knowledgeable. They took the time to educate me on what and why I was getting the price I was for my jewelry and had a better rate then any other local place. Highly recommended! read more

I sold a sterling silverware set and some rings and got top dollar when silver was at $85. They gave me $200 more for the rings than a quote a month earlier. Very honest also way more for the silver than a quote from a jewelry store. Highly recommended! read more

We needed to redeem some Krugerrands and silver coins and selected this firm as they gave the best quote for purchasing the gold coins. We arrived and they helped us right away, easily measuring the Krugerrands and then meticulously sorting through two large piles of coins to pull out the ones that were dated prior to 1965 and thus contained recoverable silver. At all times they were friendly, professional, and thorough and we felt they dealt with us honestly. I use them again in a heartbeat read more

I can't recommend this place enough. The value in my items were explained very thoroughly and I was in and out in under 10 minutes. They even showed my little one a coin because she asked about it. read more

Overall, very pleasant experience, but do not take graded coins there. Very lowball offers.

Five starts all the way! I've done business here a couple of times and I'm always pleased with Matt and his staff.

Very professional and fair with their pricing! Seen them several times and each time, it was a pleasant experience! I will definitely come back! read more

Because of other reviews on Yelp I decided to go to Atlantic Metals Xchange to buy gifts of gold coins to give to some newly discovered family members when my husband and I meet them in person next week. A great decision! They helped me so much when trying to decide what to buy. Plus, price-wise I don't think I could have done better anywhere else. While I was there, I was also able to observe how informative and patient the owner was when dealing with someone who had coins to sell. How nice he was. It's a small place with no merchandise on display (probably for security reasons), but they seem to have plenty of inventory they can show you. The entrance is on the second floor. When standing on ground level, look to your right for an elevator shaft. The door to the elevator is on the far side of the shaft. I think anyone would be very comfortable dealing with Atlantic Metals Xchange. read more

Everyone was very nice and gave me more than I thought I calculated. I also was educated in the process of selling silver, very cool.

The service was outstanding, the staff was very friendly. I would recommend bringing in your gold, silver etc for fair value!

Ballantyne's BEST Jewelry and Gold/Silver Buyer's in Charlotte, NC. I was shopping around for a local and honest Gold/Silver buyer in the Queen City until I found and learn about "Atlantic Metals Xchange" decided to give them a visit and has become My Numero #1 to sale my silver coins. The owner is Honest and gives Me The Best Buying Price in Charlotte, NC. Keep in mind that I am an Indian Trail, NC resident and only takes me about (20) minutes ride. Huge savings, worth every mile. read more

Great experience all around. I emailed Matthew and one other area vendor a spreadsheet of the coins I had to sell. Sight unseen he emailed me back his best guess on what he'd pay for them. As his pricing was better than the other vendor, more complete, and easier to deal with (than he who shall remain nameless) we went in to make our sale. The pricing, once the coins were seen, were very close to the quote (also take into account fluctuation of metals prices) we made the deal. A very pleasant person to work with, and just an all around great experience, which I said at the opener, but bears repeating. Could not recommend more highly. Thanks! read more

I have used for several years, very honest and the best prices you will find. Highly recommend! Have sold gold, silver and jewelry and appreciate the owners honesty. read more

This location is one of the most courteous and professionally rum businesses I have ever had the privilege of stepping in to. On top of everything else, you can learn a thing or two about metals. I look forward to coming back! This was my first time coming in to sell some old gold jewellery. I felt welcome and respected even though I was not a big customer (dollar wise). read more

If everything were this easy, my life would be in better order! I'm purging my household of things I no longer use, and collected a bunch of jewelry I haven't worn in 25 years, and some coins I inherited nearly that long ago. I did some online searching to guesstimate what they were worth, within a low-to-high range for each lot. Matt quickly sorted, weighed and valued everything; the jewelry price he offered came in just above the high end of my range, and the coins just a bit below the high end, for a total slightly more than I expected in the best case. In less than 15 minutes total, I left with a check. COVID kindness: I forgot my mask, so Matt offered me one from a box under the counter, and then pulled up his own as I approached him. I'd do business here again in a heartbeat. read more

Wow, what a wonderful experience. Matt, the owner was very welcoming. I had a need to sell a variety of silver coins and bars. Matt went through all of my Silver 1oz coins telling the reasons for the different prices due to style and wear. Silver starts to tarnish if touched, aging (lowering the price). He also looked at my Gold Coins recommending I hold them for a while believing the demand will increase for them soon. A great experience with a knowledgeable person. Thanks Matt read more

Matt is an exceptional stand up guy. He made my selling process extremely easy and quick! He has the best prices in the city by far and has the knowledge to back it as well. He educated me on other precious metals I had questions about and offered his knowledge whenever I wanted to come back in and learn. Best experience I've had buying/selling gold. Definitely will be back! read more

Very pleasant experience. I had a few misc gold pieces and was pleasantly surprised at the $ value offered. Highly recommend.

If you want the most $$ for your gold, silver and coins - go see Matt @ Atlantic Metals XChange. I just wish I found him years before. After shopping several well known jewelry stores in Charlotte, Matt offered far more for our inherited items. Also, Matt was kind enough to take the time to look through the bag of jewelry we found in our Grandparents house and tell me what is real, what is not - what may be valuable - what is not. He's also an expert with coins. We had 30-40 silver dollars and he was pretty much spot on when grading them quickly by eye. It's extremely comforting knowing we have someone nearby in this industry that is fair and honest. read more

I have used Matt, the owner a few times now. The place is so warm & inviting. Matt is a nice and kind guy who explains the process of selling and is very knowledgeable in all things otherwise. I got a very good price for jewelry that I don't use or out grew and much better than a Pawn Shop. I highly recommend Matt for selling your goods cos it will well worth the trip. read more

I recently sold about 20 one ounce silver bars at this establishment. I was very pleased with the experience from beginning to the end. I would highly recommend this business, no need to look elsewhere. read more

The only place in Charlotte I would recommend to buy and sell precious metals. Matt the owner is as professional and honest as they come. Have had great experiences each and every time. Extremely trustworthy and fair. The go to place in Charlotte and the surrounding areas! read more

I called and spoke with Matt about selling a large amount of obscure silver coins I acquired. He was very helpful, and gave me a good idea of what to expect before I arrived. The location was easy to get to and very professional looking. Matt greeted us in a genuine way and remembered my call. After he examined the coins he shared that three of them would be worth more than the price he estimated over the phone. I was very impressed with his integrity, offering more than I expected for those coins. Matt was able to write a check or provide cash. I appreciated the options. After some good small talk and answering our questions, we were on our way. It was fast and easy. I am planning to make all my precious metals purchases here in the future. read more

We had a great experience. This was not the first place we went, but was the last as we didn't feel the need to look further. Matt was knowledgeable, friendly and most of all ethical. His prices were hundreds of dollars above another place in Pineville. We will take all of our coins and jewelry to Matt in the future. Shop around if necessary, but definitely make this one of your stops. You won't be sorry. read more

The owner is amazing! Always patient and gives you his honest opinion about things. I have bought silver and gold from this shop and it the best place on the area. Very high class atmosphere unlike pawn shop. Highly recommended read more

I was searching for a reputable business to sell a piece of gold jewelry worn by my father , who had passed a few years ago . I researched three businesses in my area and decided upon Atlantic Metals Xchange. I was buzzed into this lovely store and greeted by the owner , Matt. We chatted a bit and then he proceeded to educate me on determining the value of my gold piece . I'm a novice when it comes to this , so I welcomed his knowledge and advice . I had some idea of what my gold piece weighed and what the market value was that day to sell your gold . In a nutshell, my experience with Matt was positive . I decided to part with my fathers bracelet and sell it. I left feeling like my decision was a wise one in choosing AMX. If you are looking to sell a piece of gold jewelry , make sure you put Matt on your list before you sell . Compare prices and know what the market value of gold is that day before you sell . In the end, feel confident knowing you did your research and trust that working with someone like Matt was the right choice . read more
