And a HUGE selection, at that! From vinyl records, artwork, jewelry, clothes, furniture, toys... they've got it all. Make sure you give yourself ample time to explore all the aisles. (And be careful, you might get lost.) You will need at least an hour to see everything. There are lots of different vendors with all kinds of goodies. Sometimes handmade and sometimes vintage/antiques. I promise you, you will find something for you or a loved one here! The prices are set by each vendor, so they will vary but most of them are pretty reasonable. Everyone staff member I've interacted with has been super friendly and helpful. Very disappointed with the customer service at Main Street Antiques. I found a little girls…read moresmocked dress and matching outfit for boy but they would not sell the dress since it had no price. I was there 1.5 hr and no price so I was promised a call once they got the price and I was going to have someone pick it up for me. Waited 2 days and was told I would get a call back. No call, called back. Again no call back, then finally today I am told it was probably put back up and maybe the message about calling me was lost. Said I could come look for it again and they would price match, yeah and why did they not do this the first time. I told them the price range from the beginning, but refused to sell it. This was very important for my grandchildren's photoshoot. Now I am stuck trying to find matching outfits again at the last minute. This was very very inconsiderate service.

They have a wide variety of items: jewelry, clothing, home decor, knick knacks, toys, you name it! I saw the coolest lamp ever here and absolutely could not resist. The friendly lady behind the counter helped us find a place to plug it in to test it and of course it worked, so it had to come home! Such a statement piece. I felt like I got a fantastic deal on the lamp, especially after looking it up online and seeing it go for 4x the price. However, a lot of other items I felt were priced a bit high. I'm not sure how they feel about negotiating. As an added bonus, they have a whole upstairs level that is packed full of even more stuff! Mostly furniture items, with some random items packed in here and there. Be warned, there's no AC in that section so it does feel like walking through someone's attic.

When we were owned by a gentleman in Florida, when he would come up to the plant in Statesville,…read morethis was one of the places we would always and I went with him on more than one occasion to shop. Paul was particularly into a form of Primative American or Victorian Art called Samples and they had several of them. We moved to a new home in July and my wife fell in love with a slab wood bench one of the neighbors has on their front porch. Turns out that one was bought by her Daughter when they lived in Colorado so not local. Struck out. One of the managers said " hold on" and ran outside but returned a few minutes later and explained they had had a slab wood bench but it apparently had been sold. She gave me some good tips where to look also for such an item. Every looked at the walls in a Cracker Barrel and wondered where they found all this stuff. Turn out it's in places like this. There was so much that I wanted to buy but we are still unpacking boxes from the move and I knew my wife would kill me if I brought anything else home till we found a home for the other items we have in storage. If you're in Statesville, it's worth a trip just to browse around. Unfortunately it's less than a mile from where I work and before I retire, I'm sure I will be back and will probably buy more than one item.

I seriously wasn't planning on doing more than a pop in and look around but ended up spending like 2 hours wandering around lost in my wonderment. They have anything and everything both new and old and really really old. They have a vast selection of all of the lovely and sometimes freaky things including the largest collection of puzzles I've ever seen in one place. And the vendors inside along with staff are super helpful and friendly and they have buggies both large and small to gather up all of your finds as you peruse the plentiful isles. And one thing I especially like about this place is how spacious it is. Big wide isles so you don't feel paranoid about accidentally brushing up against something and breaking it. Prices are just right, not too pricey but priced reasonable. I highly recommend!!!

Some vendors have staff that can help you find something in particular while others didn't have anyone proving service. I came across numerous cast iron pans and a few pots and several with brand names I've never seen previously. Most seemed to be priced quite reasonably. One particular vendor had crates and crates of old albums from the 50's through the 80's and it brought me back to my teens going to our local music store and browsing through each record. I'll definitely be going back around Christmas to get several. The prices ranged from $2.00 - $5.00 for the albums with the average being $5.00. There is one central check out location by the exit and it seems to move quickly.

That was stated by me upfront. I have been buying and selling gold and silver for 40 years. If you are looking for the best price, I would recommend elsewhere. The margin charged on my sale was well above 10% on spot price! (It was an inconvenience to go elsewhere and wanted to get the sale done so I sold). I asked for a $100 bump on the offering price (1.7% of total offered) and immediately got the 'poor me', 'no profit' routine. Despite the 10% discount to spot they were charging (example: I sold 1 oz bullion gold coin and got $3700 despite spot gold this morning over $4000). I never post comments but feel a warning is appropriate if you are in need of selling assets. Also, buying for that matter. If they are doing this on the sales, I can only imagine the prices to buy are also better elsewhere. In addition, if I was looking to buy something the place is awful to shop in. Clutter, clutter, clutter. I have no idea how a buyer could even think in there. I have an MBA and was a CFO, I never understand people who do business this way. Anyway, like I said I never make comments, but in this case I made the exception. Hope it is helpful.
