They have a huge selection of board games, trading cards, puzzles, and miniatures for all ages. They provide a large area with tables for play, refreshments, where they host regular events such as Tuesday board game nights and Friday Magic Commander nights. A gem in downtown concord for a wide selection of games! The place is incredible, you can trade in cards and they have a point system for each transaction. Owners are welcoming and very knowledgeable! Very attentive with explaining Magic cards, TCG Player trade in value, Pokémon battle events, etc. They have weekly events/sign ups posted on their website: Mondays - open play Tuesdays- board game night Wednesdays- RPG night Thursday- yugioh Friday- Friday night magic Saturday- open play Sunday- RPG night The space is also really nice. Very clean and spacious, with a good mix of concession options, and adjacent to an amazing French bakery. I was also really impressed with the large puzzle section, mystery crime, and elementary age kid games. Affordable prices. We really enjoyed the time spent together solving the one we brought home! Concord is going through a little construction at the moment. It is easiest to park in concord library parking lot and walk over. It is worth the short trip. best LGS I have ever been to. Great inventory of board games and magic cards and I refuse to shop for MTG cards anywhere else. The employees are super knowledgeable and helpful and I also appreciate the rewards system for repeat customers. Ordered a "Phyrexia: All Will Be One Bundle: Compleat Edition" from here on Amazon and never got it. Reached out to Buzz City Games and they did not want to offer a replacement or refund and denied my request to Amazon. Horrible, and scammed me of $148. Very seldom do I blame the seller on Amazon and go out of my way to leave a bad review, but Buzz City Games actively turned down my refund request and refused to give me my money back. Look, Andrew, if your best suggestion for my lost package is "checking with [my] neighbors," (TWICE did you ask me to do this) and asking me to "file an A to Z claim" (Again, twice- what is the purpose?) on an item that was sold from Buzz City Games (you guys), is your best way to handle a customer who did not receive what they purchased, that is so disappointing. I have visited this store (in-person) numerous times over the past few years. It's a gem of the downtown Concord area. Their game selection is great, pricing is fair, and the staff is always excited to greet you or just talk about games. My boyfriend and I wanted to start playing a game together. Something to do after our kids went to bed at night that didn't involve us scrolling on our phones, you know? Well, we googled a bunch of different ones we saw on our first trip into the store a week or so beforehand, and decided to support local and buy from Buzz City Games. We went in, found exactly what we were looking for (Seven Wonders Duel), and then bought another fun game that was on display (Quarto). The guy working was pretty nice, even got me to sign up as a loyalty member. I can't wait to go back and see what else we can find! In town for distractions and amusements and got into just about everything, this being one of them. While walking back to the car and watching out for other pedestrians I saw a small sandwich board by the front door announcing "Board Games" plus a bucket of dice and some games in the window so I thought I'd have a look inside. Seems a nice place located in the old Hotel Concord. Game cards and what not in cases behind the counter, big room to the left with tables for gaming and sampling and open play during the day with scheduled events most nights - open to players of all or no skill levels. Buzz City has plenty of board and card and dice games for a wide variety of interests; spooky games with magics and dead guys and some bash-'em-ups and games of skill and coopertainmnets suitable for the whole family to enjoy (even younger and more sensitive individuals.) I oprdered a 40k Chainbreaker Lance from their Amazon webstore. I opened it up, excited to get started. I was missing an entire Armiger and had no sprues for the Warglaive variants AT ALL! There were only 3 bases for armigers as well. Given that it had clearly been opened when I received it, and that the instructions were VERY worn, it is obvious that this was a repackaged scam. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I called Buzz City Games and they said they would not do anything because it was fulfilled through Amazon. I had to return it for a refund as there were no others for sale. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BUZZ CITY GAMES ON AMAZON, THEY ARE A SCAM COMPANY!!!!! read more

I popped into Buzz City Games on a whim today and boy am I glad a did! They have a HUGE selection of board games, trading cards, D&D, Magic, Pokémon, ETC. They seriously have everything a game lover could want. The best part for me was the large puzzle section. I am an avid puzzle builder so I was elated to find so many Ravensburgers in one location. They had quite the selection of puzzle sizes and designs. There is definitely a puzzle for everyone here. I ended up getting two 1000 piece ones for just under 50 bucks with tax. I honestly was a little worried about the price because I had zero cell signal to check the interwebs as Buzz City is in an old bank building and the walls are super thick. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my two puzzles sold for less than average on Google. Buzz City is a very cool place and I highly recommend you check them out. Additionally, there are plenty of cool places to check out within two blocks like the Basement Arcade, B&K Tea Cafe, Goldberry Bookstore/Press and Porter and Concord Public Library. Their customer service is outstanding. I made an online purchase from them, and when the box arrived, I found there were missing pieces (due to manufacturer defect). I emailed Buzz City to see what we could do, figuring that since this was right at the time of the beginning of COVID closures I wouldn't get much help. I was pleasantly surprised that they responded right away. They solved my problem as fast as they could, and kept me up to date as they dealt with the manufacturer on my behalf. This us a good little shop in the dead center of Concord. The location is great for them and I've always found excellent customer service. The selection of games is good and the owner is pretty knowledgeable about the market. If it has a flaw it's the size is a little small, but given where it's at that's hardly surprising.
