Exceptional professional service beyond my wildest expectations. Rarely do I offer words of praise,…read morebut in this case there are not enough words to express how happy I am. I was more than skeptical that this company could deliver all that they promised, as I was still smarting from a $10,500 chip seal done by another company that was a complete failure in less than two months. I asked if they could make a driveway 20' wide spanning to 40' wide and over 100' long for a house that will be built. Before they arrived to begin work, I spray painted the worst potholes in my existing driveway and asked if he could fix them too. He told me that the 22 loads I wanted was more than enough to build the new driveway, so how about it if they redid my entire 600' existing driveway while they were at it? That's exactly what they did. I expected cheap red roadbase from the Bastrop pit, full of yellow clay slips and large rock. I assumed the millings top coat would be made from large 2" pieces of riprap. Instead, they delivered quality caliche base from a pit north of Austin that was almost 100 miles away. The millings was pea sized. I signed each haul ticket and was amazed that the loads all ranged from 18 tons to 21 tons. The process of their work was no less than amazing. They began by leveling the pad site for the new home. Then they began work on the driveway, leveling a layer of roadbase and spraying it with water (removes air entrainment and maximizes the packing of material). Then, with a skid steer on rubber tracks with a heavy roller, they compacted. Then another layer of base and more compacting. Then millings and compacting yet again. The final load delivery was dropped next to the pad site so that a delivery truck could back up and place the sewer tank. This heavy load was dumped and the driver left. I couldn't even see evidence of any tire tracks over the new driveway. Mr. Sardis left his skid steer and roller on site overnight. He wanted to come back the next day and roll the entire driveway one more time, just to be sure. He left saying they would return to fix anything I wasn't happy about, no questions asked, should any problem develop. Do you want to be penny wise and pound foolish? Go ahead and save a few hundred dollars and hire a cheaper company. When that proves to be a complete failure, then hire this company to come fix the mess. Mr. Sardis Sr has over 40 years experience in building roads, and his son about 20 years. . It shows in the quality of work provided. They own all their equipment and trucks. I have NEVER seen a crew work harder and I simply can't thank them enough.
