Joe excused himself and went into the kitchen returning shortly. He said the chef would make us an order of gnocchi even though it was not on the menu. He said the chef would prepare it any way we wanted; this in a jam packed Saturday night restaurant. Now that's service! When he returned it was with a large platter of gnocchi with small potato cubes, and sweet acorn squash in a savory, slightly tomatoey, cream sauce.
