The Doctor was very helpful, discussed several options for pain relief and took his time to answer my questions. What really stood out on my visit was how well the staff worked together and so cheerfully. I've been to enough doctor offices where the opposite is true. So it see a team work together so well to take care of their patients deserves a good review! Tip: parking in front of the office can be limited at certain times of the day so prepare to walk down a few suites.

He SUPER down to earth and does a thorough physical exam. I have been suffering from thyroid symptoms for about 4 years. Been to several doctors and none of them could help me. My symptoms got to a point where I thought I was dying. Was having heart palpitations, EXTREME hair loss, excessive fatigue, random sore spots and bruises on my body, vision issues, rapid weight gain, anxiety off the charts (couldn't get more than 4 hours of sleep to save my life)- you name it. None of the prior doctors could tell me what was happening. And after a while, I believe that they started to disregard my complaints- EVEN after I did my research and TOLD them what I thought was going on. Dr. Launius LISTENED to me- and for the first time in years I didn't feel like the doctor thought I was crazy. After he completed the physical exam- he pretty much assured me the help that I needed. He also said that he would get my hair to stop falling out (as it was falling out by the handfuls- and was so bad, that for a moment, I actually thought that I might have had cancer). I know- an ignorant thought, but paired with the way that I was feeling in addition to the hair loss- that is the mindset that I was in. THE NEXT DAY... his team called me with the results. Sure enough, my levels were low. I got the prescription and was felling better by the end of the first month. Dropped 10 pounds almost immediately. I'm currently in month two- and guess what? For the first time in 4 years, I was able to comb out and wash my hair without any of it coming out. I'm ecstatic! I know hair seems like a small vain thing to most people, but when you start to lose it, it really messes with your confidence. My hair is pretty thin now, and is way shorter than it was 4 years ago- but at least I can now see light at the end of the tunnel. I'm excited for progress and my new hair journey. To top it all off, I feel great. I've never appreciated my health more than I do now. I'm so thankful to have run across Dr. Lanius- a REAL health professional. I was a new patient last month (July 2026) and showed up early to be greeted by a very young front…read moredesk check-in person who was aggressive and had an angry tone and asked me for two things, which, I had my license and medical card ready but she asked for license and something else like a permit and I had to ask her what that was, she said my medical card and I did not say this out loud but wanted to say "why didn't you just say medical card" but it was my first time here so I didn't say anything , figured she was having a bad day. Then when I got to see Dr. Walter Humann, who only took about 3 minutes time with me and when he asked me a question, I was cut off before finishing my sentence. He was late getting in to see me because I heard him with the patience next door talking for 15 minutes about the FIFA soccer games, I get it, I enjoyed the conversation too even though I was just eavesdropping through the paper thin walls and I figured he would be in a better mood than his front desk staff person was since the convo with his patient was going so well. He was quick, seemed like he didn't care, and I felt just like a number and from the looks of my bill, I just paid his car payment (or maybe half a car payment, depending on his car). The audiologist Dr. Kelly Briley doesn't smile like she does in her pics, I felt like she was also wishing I wasn't there. She was cold, distant, even though I really liked her office, it was warm and inviting and I told her this, no response. After I paid my bill, made a follow up appointment and I had to deal with the same front desk person that checked me in and as she was checking me out, I asked her if she had the correct pharmacy on file for the script that Dr. Humann ordered and she said she did, but how could she since I didn't put it on my paperwork so I asked her to read it out to me to confirm and of course, it was wrong, so I gave her the right address and she got mad, and said "that is what I said" and her voice sounded so angry and evil that I just grabbed my bag and got out of there. Then, I get a call from my pharmacy, the script was called in incorrectly and they were letting me know they contacted the Dr. Humann's office to get it fixed. That was good and I waited, and waited, two days later, my pharmacy told me to call them since they are not getting a response, so I called, left a voice mail and it has been 3 weeks, no response to the pharmacy or myself. I decided to just ask my PCP to fill the script since I would not ever be going back to this office again. Please find a better ENT office, if you can, because this office, does not care about the patient, only the very expensive fees they charge for less than 15 minutes of service.

Simply, he is the best rheumatologist in Texas, and people come from all over the Southwest to see him. Moreover, he is the reason I am still walking and working 20 years after I was in so much pain I thought I needed to take a disability. People don't like finding out they have rheumatoid arthritis and they sometimes project that on to the doctor. Cheatum treats patients as if they are adults, not children. It would be easy for a new and vulnerable patient to mistake his efficiency and directness for a lack of compassion, but it would be wrong. Only someone called to the profession would work the number of hours he does, and take the time to help them beat a really unbeatable illness. Twenty years later, I wouldn't see anyone else.

Bottom line for me (sick with mold illness at the time): Antigen testing was a huge time and financial investment with minimal return. However I later responded quickly and obviously to Dr. Janette Hope's prescribed liposomal glutathione treatment, and by addressing methylation and other mutations impacting nutritional absorption (like B12 shots), discovered via my genome. Having written that, I recall some fellow clients at the time feeling like the antigen treatment helped them. I am grateful to be recovered now. Getting sick from mold is life-changing. On 23 Mar 26, both my Medicare provider and I made an appointment as patient care thought PT would help in pain management. 8 pre-approved visits and then a Dr referral needed. 25 Mar, ATI canceled the appointment only to call and want to reschedule my original appointment for the 27th on the 27th. I didn't call back as I had a Dr appointment on the 31st and got the Dr referral. I then didn't go due to another medical issue. 10 Apr, I went into the NRH location and made an appointment for13 Apr. Today they canceled my appointment again only to call again to reschedule.
