The grief was disabling during the day also and I was unable to work or do day-to-day tasks, my mind was reeling. I knew there was no way I could do years of counseling to get through it, I needed something fast to help me return to normal life. I called ECC and asked Melanie what she could do to help heal me to accelerate the process of trauma, and get results and relief fast. She introduced me to EMDR and Matrix Reimprinting. I had never heard of such a thing and didn't know the technology behind them , and truly thought they sounded like a waste of time and would not work. But I was desperate. After learning how they work on the brain and body and the historical proven results, I gave them a try. Much to my surprise I was shocked to see that not only did they work but they gave fast results and relief to my grief and pain and reeling thoughts that would not stop. The effects were so positive I couldn't quite believe it could be that easy... I still am baffled and SO incredibly grateful to Melanie and ECC for having these techniques to offer to our community. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! I was able to quickly returned to normal life. I was also able to cope with all that came after the accident well. Later that year I also had a serious incident with a family member that I was feeling similar trauma about and went back to ECC. As the first time, Melanie was able to bring me through it quickly and painlessly with these amazing techniques that seem to good to be true. I have been back to ECC for my relationship too, and it truly helped me for over a year, with the guidance I received from another great therapist there named Kathy. I highly recommend these guys!

Since canceling back in August, I have been charged an additional $280 by them, split into random chunks of amounts ($25 here, $100 there...) and have literally been calling and emailing for over a month to get someone there to fix it. It would be fine if I heard something back and for some reason I am mistaken, but the fact I have received no response whatsoever is infuriating. Obviously disputing with my bank and will never go here again. Would not recommend.

Newport saved our daughter and set our family on a stable path to recovery…read more Last fall we were losing our daughter to mental health challenges, PTSD and increasingly unsafe behaviors. It took 3 tries to get her to commit to Newport, but after the first few weeks of adjustment, she made more therapeutic progress with the team at Newport than in all of the other interventions we've tried to date (years of CBT therapy, DBT skills, and peer groups) . We are now 3 months out from her discharge and we still have moments of stress but Newport put us back on the same team in terms of addressing challenges together and we have been super impressed with how our 15yo is using skills to navigate the tough moments. We are extremely grateful to the Newport team for everything they did to get through to our child and earn her trust in their process.

There are some strict rules but for your own safety reasons. Lots of papers will be filled out the first couple of days, but then you will be free to have fun! All the staff make sure that you feel safe and kinda make it feel like home. You really get treated like family, and everyone knows everyone. The nurses help you with any of your special needs. Everything will get taken care of. You'll get a call to your friends or family every day. You'll have school for 4 hours when the school year starts. But 2 hours when summer starts on the weekdays. But you have the weekdays to do fun stuff. It's really fun! It's not as bad as it sounds. If you plan on going, it can be rough for a couple of weeks, but then you'll get used to it, and the other clients can help you get through it. Everyone is very loving.

Now most of your communication goes through his receptionist via text message since they don't like to answer the phone, so communication is visible to the entire front desk, and because Michael rarely replies guy never know who you're communicating with. Michael used to be a quality over quantity provider however now he is the opposite, and $130 for a ten minute medication refill appointment, it's drive-thru drugs. I've referred multiple people to him and I thought I had established a solid professional relationship with this provider who has been prescribing me throughout a very traumatic time in my life but today he made it clear I am just another monthly subscriber, irrelevant and disturbing his back to back appointments. His compassion and empathy I see are a facade and only reserved for certain people at certain times of the day. Do not subscribe.

Back in 2019 had a neuropsychological evaluation for our elementary school child based on…read moreobservations and recommendations from a couple of teachers and an experienced tutor. At that time the appointments with Dr. Oram and his staff and front office were professional and courteous. Our child enjoyed the proxy and the testing ; even though the testing was, multiple days, long and arduous. The billing department worked with us since the evaluation was not covered by insurance (it rarely is). At the follow-up meeting it was recommended that we get our child retested sometime toward the end of 8th grade, prior too heading to high school. Knowing that it can take some time to get an appointment, I called and left a detailed message asking what re-testing entails and the cost. Weeks later I reached out again, leaving another message. Weeks later, still no reply. So, I sent an email back at the beginning of Oct. 2022. The email response was a basic form-letter that did not answer my two questions. After much back and forth, I finally did get a non-form letter response, but still no answer to my two basic questions. I was finally urged to get an appointment on the books as they were booked out until May 2023. I was assured over and over again in subsequent email responses that Ally from billing would get back to me. Here we are 20 back and forth emails later and I still do not have a response; however, I was told that they no longer offer the out-of-pocket discount. Yet, still no answer to my first two basic questions: what does re-testing entail and what is the cost. So, I responded by email for the final time: "Good Day Nicole,  I still do not have a full answer to my very simple questions: what is the cost of the reevaluation? And, what does re-testing entail?   I started this inquiry via phone messages left at FPSK back before October 10, 2022 without any response. Finally, I emailed back on Oct 10, 2022 asking about retesting my [child] and the cost. I have had to take the initiative over and over again to try and get answers. At this point, it has been a total of 20 back and forth emails. I am very disappointed, and for good reason, as I still do not have sufficient answers to my two basic questions. Given the unprofessionalism I've experienced, I no longer have trust in the practice.  I will seek neuropsychological testing from another practice.  Please cancel any appointments we currently have on your books."   Therefore, I can no longer, in good faith, recommend this practice for neuropsychological testing. Believe the other one star reviews and find another facility.
