The flavor was spot on, tasted great and came with a complimentary waffle slice! There were two women working while I went in and they were very pleasant, helped us out and let us try as many flavors of gelato that we wanted. The shop itself is small and quaint, with lots of sweet options. What caught my eye were the salt water taffy in many odd flavors such as maple bacon. Unfortunately I didn't grab any, I am still regretting that but there is always next time because I will be back!

Eventually, the owner got on the phone. She restarted the whole conversation, made me go over everything again, and finally agreed to the cake. I paid half by e-transfer right away and the rest at pickup. When we opened the cake at the celebration, we were shocked. It was not fresh cream, not light, and not what was promised. The sponge was hard, dense, sticky, and salty. It felt like a heavy, overbaked gluey mess--not edible. The pineapple chunks were barely there. Guests barely touched it, and most of it went straight to the garbage. One guest literally spit it out after the first bite. It was embarrassing. I contacted the bakery to give honest feedback, hoping for an apology or a refund. Instead, the owner became defensive, rude, and accused me of "bullying." She denied ever promising fresh cream and even threatened to share my information with other bakers. Calling a customer "aunty" and making personal insults is not only immature--it's wildly unprofessional. I paid $120 expecting quality and respect. I got neither. They ruined a once-in-a-lifetime moment for my family and couldn't even take responsibility. No apology. No decency. Just attitude.
