Two good things: service was good and my salmon was great. Other than that, skip this tired place. The food was, for the most part, terrible. Previously frozen, unseasoned, and generally inedible. Calamari: chewy, bland & uniform pieces (read: frozen) Caprese: unevenly sliced and no basil Penne alla vodka: oily and not even close to the right flavor. I thought it was Mac & cheese at first Eggplant stacker: spongy and odd Cheesecake at the end was okay but had straight cinnamon on it. Overall the food was gross. We sat outside but when I went inside to use the restroom it was unbearably loud. Never again.

We came here two nights in a row due to the proximity to our hotel initially, but then again because of the amazing food and service. The atmosphere was great and our server Sebastian was friendly knowledgable and very attentive. The filet mingon with the mushroom Demi glaze was incredible, my girlfriend loved hers as well. Night 2 was spaghetti and meatballs for me (huge meatballs!) and lobster ravioli for the Mrs. Such a great little spot to enjoy dinner or drinks, highly recommend. The wine was incredible too a huge selection

Food: We really enjoyed the large menu and had a hard time choosing what to order because multiple dishes looks really delicious! Calamari - the calamari was crispy and not overly fried. The only missing piece is that it was not seasoned at all so we added some salt and pepper. Beef carpaccio - we really enjoyed the beef carpaccio! The arugula was perfectly lemoned on top. There were semi-raw mushrooms in the arugula salad on top which we think don't need to be there. Beggar's purse with crumbled sausage added - this was delicious and unique! The light pear flavor balanced well with the perfectly truffled cream sauce. Snapper - the snapper was buttery and perfectly sauced. Service: The service was excellent-- our waiter has the idea to add the sausage to the beggar's purse dish and this was a fantastic idea. Ambiance: We love the mood lighting and red booths. Very cozy restaurant!

Fried Caesar salad, delish!

We are frequent diners due to the friendly staff, great food and relaxed atmosphere. Favorites include the Osso Buco and the Fish specials.

Wonderful server (Ella) on our visit last night to the Italian Grill. The food was fabulous and the…read moreservice was an added benefit. We love this restaurant!

Wow! What a disappointment! The server ( I think her name was Ellen. Although she did tell us…read morethat) and the obviously not made in house , carrot cake. Are the only reason I gave it one star. We started with fried calamari. It came out way too fast to have been made to order. It was a tad over fried, so it was rubbery. Tasted like the kind you buy frozen . You know, already breaded. The order was a large quantity , but that doesn't make it good. I ordered shrimp & scallop Pomadoro. The hubs ordered linguine with white clam sauce. That had 2 clams in shells on the top of the pasta, and the rest was canned clams. Believe me, You can tell. My dish was almost fair. The menu read tomato basil cream sauce. More like marinara with a touch of cream. A leaf of basil chopped up on top. The shrimp, scallops & pasta were cooked well, but the almost raw garlic and heavy handed on the salt took away from what might have been an acceptable dish. We also had minestrone soup. Could have fooled me. There was not a bean to be found. The pasta was pastina & it had some type of shredded meat?? Lastly, the coffee was not drinkable. We've heard people, at times , say they have had coffee that tasted like dishwater . We never experienced that until tonight. I ordered decaf & the hubs had reg. They both sucked. One sip was all it took. . We didn't mention anything to the waitress as it's not anything to do with her. But I will write this review as well as a google one. The place was packed. It's dark in the front room . It was ok in the side room where we were. Typical Italian decor. Wine bottles on the walls, that kind of thing. Again we were really disappointed. It's hard to spend $125 and not really enjoy it. Now we know. Armani's in downtown Vero is 100% better. We went there 3 days ago. I will write about that place as that will receive 5 stars. Oh and don't bother with the extra calories by eating the garlic bread . It was Italian bread cut into French fry shape with way too much garlic powder & low grade parmigiana cheese.

The Italian Cousin delivered on every plate. We ordered the lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs,…read morecalamari fritti, stuffed mushrooms or rollatini, and a caprese salad. Each dish came out well portioned and clearly made with care. The lasagna was the standout. Browned cheese on top, a rich tomato sauce underneath. The layers held together and the filling was seasoned properly. The spaghetti and meatballs were hearty. Three large meatballs, good sauce coverage, and a side of garlic bread that was worth eating on its own. The calamari was fried light and crispy, not greasy, served with a marinara dipping sauce and a lemon wedge. The caprese used fresh mozzarella with a balsamic glaze drizzle. Clean, simple, done right. The fries were a simple side, golden and hot. Service was attentive and the setting felt like a proper neighborhood Italian spot. Make a reservation. This place fills up fast and for good reason. We walked in as they opened and so many were coming in behind us. One side note, the sangria ran a bit bitter. Stick to wine or beer instead.

We had dinner at Scampi Grill with a group of six and everyone really enjoyed their meals. The menu…read morehas a nice selection of Northern Italian dishes, and everything we tried was very good and reasonably priced. We ordered a few appetizers to share. They were delicious, although the portions were a little small, especially for sharing with a larger group. The entrées, on the other hand, were very generous portions and definitely worth the price. The service was great throughout the evening. We finished with the tiramisu, which was absolutely delicious and definitely worth saving room for! Overall, great food, great service, generous portions and very reasonable prices. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal and we would definitely go back.

We've been dining at the Scampi Grill for about 10 years and have always found their food to be…read moreextremely good. Last night we visited and had a wonderful meal, however, we learned that they had changed their 'house' Cabernet, which we have also enjoyed, so much so that we never felt the need to order a pricier option. Things have changed. The new option is Woodbridge, which is generally preferred by those who acquire their wine at CVS , Walmart, or Walgreens. $12.50 a glass (half that during Happy Hour), which is just short of the drug store price of $12.99 for 150ML (double size bottle, which I verified at CVS). We found it totally shameful that such a quality restaurant would stoop so low as to even carry this swill into their establishment, much less offer it to their customers. I mean, really!!! Do the math. Realistically assume a double bottle will yield about 8 servings, and at $12.50 per glass, they are generating $100.00 revenue from a $13.00 bottle of wine (and more because they are paying less than retail). Shameful!!! I gave 3 stars here because the food truly is great. But..but...but...their willingness to insult their customers with this garbage is shameful and focused on profit rather than customer satisfaction. Fire the Swillomlier!
