We ordered the seafood special based upon walking in and seeing a huge pan on fresh seafood on table and thus made it easy for me and the kid to decide. It was their house special at 35 euros per person (minimum 2). Included lobster and a bunch of shrimp, clams, mussels, and calamari in a red broth. Also two large scallops. Takes at least 30 minutes to prep so need the appetizers to get you by. The also close out the special by tossing in pasta after your done with the seafood into the remaining broth. Full disclosure it's a mess to eat. Must use hands. The cover you with s bib. It was delicious. The spouse does not like briny seafood so she didn't eat much but more than enough for 3 (except not for the scallops and lobster portion). We started with a few appetizers. Spouse had the lasagna. It looked good and home made but again I ignored it due to the mountain in front of me. A few drinks and bottle of water. I wish the pasta was available before the end but understand they want to toss it into your pan of sauce. I had originally asked to order a pasta to complement but they said it came with a pasta after ( so I agreed ). Obviously we are tourist so I can't take extra home of which would have been plenty. Total cost about 143 euros. (No additional taxes or tip). Credit card available but we needed to roll home to hotel so left 150 cash on table.

The worst part - food poisoning. I had the calamari and boyyyyy was I sick afterwards. It turned our experience from "okay" to "ouchhhhh". Unfortunately, we will not be returning for more. :(

There were a lot of people, of course, but they were filling orders quickly. While waiting in line, you pass by the window into the kitchen where you can see staff members freshly making pasta. It was good to know that even pasta out of a box can be prepared with the freshest ingredients. I ordered the pesto with garlic and pecorino, and it was honestly one my favorite pastas I've had in Italy. My pasta came with rigatoni, which was perfectly al dente.

For dinner in peak season, try to make a reservation as the restaurant is very small. We arrived before our reservation time and were seated immediately inside and greeted warmly by the restaurant owner. We ordered a bottle of wine to start (most under 20 Euros for a 75 ML bottle). For appetizers we ordered the cheese with honey for 13 Euros, absolutely amazing! We also combined this with the local olive oil and fresh bread brought to the table to start as well. For our second course we chose two pastas, the Penne Alla Amatriciana (I think it was around 12 Euros), and the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara (I think it was around 12 Euros as well). Both had extremely fresh homemade ingredients and were out of this world and extreme attention to care in the preparation. For our entree we split the breaded pork chop (I think it was around 20 Euros), including a side of potatoes (similar to the steak fries that you would see in the U.S.) The service was absolutely amazing and we loved dining alongside the owner and his family and meeting the cat that also lives at the restaurant and comes by to greet you during the meal as well. It truly was like you were dining at the home of the owner and is a must try if you are in Venice!

It was ~ 40°F outside and windy, so we popped in this restaurant and felt so warm and comfy inside :) The menu had a long of great options, and the seafood risotto was verrrrry tempting (must order for 2x people). We ended up ordering the paccheri and linguini with seafood to share. The linguini was so good and the serving of seafood was so generous that I was starting to run out of linguini (unheard of, really!). The artichoke mixed in the paccheri really elevated the flavors of the tomatoes and shrimp. I think we have a new love for cherry tomatoes, raw or sautéed. We finished our late lunch with a macchiato each, and the espresso was strong and flavorful. I might be a coffee addict and I'm not afraid to show it! Aside from the food, the interior was tastefully decorated with a coffee bar at the entrance, and an extremely clean bathroom with a separate sink area. There's also free WiFi, plus lighting or USB-C chargers in the wall just makes this a great place to leisurely have lunch and coffee. Our waiter was very kind and we didn't feel rushed or ignored. As expected when dining in, there is a cover charge, which was only €2.50 per person which is not bad for the location near Rialto Bridge, and is much lower than some places at St. Mark's Square. The restaurant seemed far enough away from the main tourist area and there weren't menus with pictures sitting outside, both of which would have been obvious signs to stay away! Service was good and the food was great. My carbonara was excellent, you could tell that they were using very high quality pasta. The courtyard were sitting in was lovely if a bit plain, and really the only complaint that I have here is that despite the patio being empty, both other parties that were sat were directly next to us with one of them being smokers, and that really put a damper on the end of the meal.
