Love how advanced this feature was, compared to your traditional walkie-talkie hints. We did the Kilgore Cabin room. The room felt like a 3-4/5 difficulty. The puzzles got progressively harder throughout. This room has a warning. Scare Factor: Scary moments and atmosphere. Warning: Contains themes and special effects that some players may find scary. Puzzles were all unique and very interactive. We really enjoyed the multiple rooms within this one escape room. Price per person was $38. Staff were really nice and showed us how to complete the room in the end (we weren't able to escape). Overall, highly recommend and we will be back to try out the other rooms!

The suspense was light and done well, pretty sure most can guess when near the end to expect it. My kids would have loved it! Bring an engineer friend for this one, puzzles are a certain style. Shipwreck is so neat! Puzzles are very unique and haven't seen some of these puzzles at other locations before. Would love to gush about them, the puzzle theme is just perfect! They won an award for this escape room and it's well deserved! All puzzles worked properly, timing was good. We did bump a door which tripped the magnets to open(fire safety) and called the attendant. She was really helpful in stalling our time while she reset it back as it was a necessary step. Rooms are big enough, lighting was enough for an older crowd. Bring reading glasses if you kinda need them, as that slowed a team mate down and stalled a puzzle solving situation. The escape…read moreexperience takes place both indoors and outdoors, so if you are easily scared or are afraid of the dark (as you can imagine it can get quite dark in the pioneer village) consider going to the earlier session (6PM vs 9PM). With the way the Pioneer Village is set up, you are instantly already in such a immersive environment. Everything looks, smells, and feels genuine - this is half the elements needed to make this a great escape. Thankfully, besides the environment, the puzzles are very detailed and well thought out. Most puzzles require special mechanisms that were especially made and it's done very well to merge with the existing environment. Owing to and out of respect for the surrounding historical buildings, there are nothing mechanical or electrical, which is charming in its own way. The way the escape experience is set up are that there are many 'buildings' in the village, though you will not visit them all in one play. Therefore, this escape is perhaps the first I've encountered that has actual replay value because you can definitely try a different building next time around. 6 players are recommended because some tasks may require you to subdivide into smaller groups to tackle. Overall, I find the experience very enjoyable, even more so than their Casa Loma games because of the illusion of open area exploration. My only real complaint is that I am really not a big fan of jump scares. With an entire genuine village, I feel the idea for an escape experience is limitless and is not limited to a cursed village - this idea is already done elsewhere. For instance, I would love a RPG style experience - maybe you're looking for a lost gem. Or maybe you've traveled back in time to 1860s in hopes to find a clue about a relic you want to find in present time. A very unique experience overall!

This room, while creepy, is unlike other escape rooms I have experienced. It utilizes the space of a large historical site that features both indoor and outdoor spaces. You are put into groups of 6 or less. My group of three, which included my 10 year old daughter, was fortunate to be matched up with two visitors from the Boston area. Four of us were experienced escape room enthusiasts and through teamwork, we completed the various tasks with 25 minutes to spare. We got bragging rights for finishing first. (Your group competes with up to 9 other groups.) What made this room extra special is that once we finished, we were given more tasks and experiences. (The average team completes two indoor rooms and 2 outdoor experiences.) One of the special experiences was universally our highlight of the room. What would have made this room extra extra special would have been if we were awarded buttons or given a special promotional code for their other rooms - for being first place finishers. Sometimes bragging rights don't really mean much when the other players aren't happy for you. I would highly recommend this room for those who want an experience working together on solving puzzles in a very immersive environment.

Just a top-tier escape room experience with some of the highest production value. My group and I did Hong Kong After Dark. It was a 2 hour escape room and about $70 per person. It'll be one of my most memorable experiences just based on how amazing the set looked. The puzzles were complex, engaging, and fit into the story so well. You can tell the people running the place are super passionate about creating the best escape room experience. We did have a slight hiccup where the room didn't reset halfway through. We waltzed through a door and everything was already unlocked and lit up. Staff were on top of it though and immediately came in and fixed it. Everything proceeded smoothly afterwards. I've done other rooms before in both locations, a long time ago though. I remember them all being extremely detailed and fun but this one might be one of my favourites yet.

The entrance of Omventure is somewhat hidden where it faces the back of a big building housing several different businesses (mainly restaurants). A great place for kids, teens, families, as well as young adults, the space houses a variety of escape rooms with different difficulty levels, where there is a suggested number of people needed per room. Depending on the difficulty of the escape room, you are given either 60 min, 90 min, or 120 min to solve or escape the room. You are able to book your escape room ahead of time, which is highly recommended. They do have family and kid friendly escape rooms available as well. Also, the use of phones is not allowed when you play the escape rooms - if you do decide to bring your phone into the escape room and use it, you can cause your time in the escape room to end early (they have security footage throughout the rooms). This location also has an expansive board game area with many large tables and many games as well as a cafe selling bubble tea and snacks. There is also a gaming area with video game consoles as well. My party of 4 stopped by Omventure on a Saturday evening where we had booked the escape room "Kingdom of Cats" (60 min, 3/5 difficulty, best for 3-8 people). Upon entering, you pay at the counter where you can get discounts if you follow them on social media or if it is your birthday. Once ready, your belongings are placed in a single locker and you are asked to watch a video explaining the rules of the escape room. Staff also provide you with a walkie talkie where you can ask for unlimited hints if you are really stuck. Afterwards, staff lead you to your particular escape room. My party and I managed finish the "Kingdom of Cats" escape room in the allotted time, although we had to ask staff twice as we were stuck with what to do next. This particular escape room required us to solve puzzles and riddles while paying attention to our surroundings. There was a bit of crawling as we headed to at least 4 different rooms. It may seem confusing where to begin at first when you are placed in the room but with teamwork and communication, you end up figuring out what to do to move to the next step. This particular escape room isn't scary, but it is kid friendly and fun. The 60 min really flew by just like that as we had to use our brains in order to figure things out. I haven't done a lot of escape rooms but this one was really nicely designed with lots of details throughout. Moving through the different rooms was pretty cool and finding the clues and working as a team together allowed us to escape and finish. After we were finished with the escape room, staff came to get us and took our picture on the stage where we could choose different boards to hold up. Nice touch as a souvenir of the fun time you had while you were there. For an additional fee you can also play as many board games if you'd like, but we decided not to. Overall, a fun escape room adventure for everyone! Would love to try the more difficult and scary ones next time. Staff were great and the facilities were well maintained where the rooms very detailed. Great option to have a fun time with family or friends.

None of the mechanisms work and the staff don't pay attention to manually start them either. So basically you'll solve a problem and wait around and wonder for 20 mins why nothings moving even if you got it right from the start. Then you have to ask for a clue (which they won't give, it'll just be a condescending phrase that tells you to do what you've already been doing.) then after fighting with them for five min they'll realize it's their fault and manually start it, wasting not just our time but our money. 30 dollars a person is just ridiculous for what this is. If you want more fun lock yourself in a dark closet for 30 min and try to get out, you'll probably feel more satisfied anyways. I will say that we did ignore all of the red flags 1. The bad reviews online 2. The two groups that came out super pissed off before us fighting for refunds cause nothing worked for them 3. How the place looked So kinda on us but... Did this for group bonding and I will say we did bond pretty well over how terrible this was and how much we got scammed, so maybe if you want team bonding then this works for you idk? When the staff came in telling us we were out of time, the normal procedure would be to walk us through what we had left. Instead, the guy said he was unable to finish a walk through because the next group had arrived. It seemed that he was unwilling to walk us through the remaining aspects because if he did, then he'd have to reset all the puzzles... I've been to quite a few escape room locations and never has this happened before, even if the next group had arrived.. Overall the Osaka High room was pretty cool, but I only wish I knew how it ended.....

One friend had been here when they first opened and wasn't overly impressed. The front area does not look finished, and makes you wonder of quality in the escape rooms. It still has that look of converted office ambiance and needs a makeover for sure! Game rooms: Loved it! Though this separated our group; we broke out with time to spare despite the difficulty level, which makes one want another puzzle to make it harder, or were we just good at this now? Loved the theme, story line and quality of puzzles, no more combo locks or markers on wall but really well thought out puzzles. Really liked each room with their unique challenges. Lighting was perfect, no need for flashlights, music was right for room themes and couldn't hear the ones next to you. If you need a cheat, you push the wall button that calls your cell phone. The employees were friendly enough and waiting when we broke out. They sell a few canned beverages and have an automated camera for group photos you can email yourself. The rooms were great, will go back to try the rest. The front foyer ambience needs to be improved somehow, I think they splurged the budget into the game rooms. So don't let that fool you.
