    We escaped!!

Absolute fun from start to finish. We did the Pandora's box room. It was so entertaining and used a lot of brain skills to solve the puzzles. Jack was so fun to work with! Definitely will do the other rooms!!!

What I truly love about Trapped is that the staff, whether in San Dimas, Upland, and Las Vegas, they are all very nice and take pride in their rooms. They are the only place that gives back incentives that make you truly want to come back. For instance, they give a free shirt on the 3rd game you do with them, regardless of locations. Also, they give a free game for your 6th room. My family and I will be definitely coming back to finish all their rooms. Several of their rooms have unique puzzles and experiences.

What's up: Escape rooms can be fun if you have the right people with you. It can be awesome if the venue does a good job creating the puzzles and Trapped! definitely did it well. Parking: Located right off the 57 FWY, parking is plentiful. It's not too far from the Red Roof Inn. Environment: We signed up for a game the day of on their website. They had plenty of openings and games available. When we arrived, we signed in and watched a short video explaining the rules. There are small lockers where we stashed our gear (no phones allowed!). The staff members were really awesome and they made it a very immersive game; we felt like we were actual agents with our gear and vests :) What was ordered: - Operation X-13 Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. We had a fun experience. After stumbling around a bit, we managed to solve and escape from Operation X-13. Staff members were very in character and it made it so fun. Credit cards are accepted.

It was super easy to book via email for a party room. Staff was friendly and my daughter and her friends had so much fun! It was half the girls first time in a escape room and they all said this was the best. They don't offer any food for the party room but we just ordered Michaelangelo's pizza and picked it up quick for the party. I just wish they had signs to take pics like "we escaped" or things like that at the end.

Have you ever wanted to go to an escape room? Do you like to solve puzzles? Are you up for a challenge? Are you looking a fun group or family activity? What are you waiting for? Book your escape room with Trapped! This was my first time going to an escape room. We were a group of 7 that was looking for a fun team building activity. We came across Trapped and gave it a try. There is plenty of parking for your group and located right off of the freeway. All of the staff is very friendly and committed to making sure every guest has a great experience. Shout out to all of them! We had a wonderful time! They prep you prior to entering the escape room and do an outstanding job with setting the scene for your experience. They have some games you can play while you are waiting. We played uno and tic tac toe. It was fun! We did Grandmas Surprise amd we Loved it! It was much more challenging than expected. It was filled with many surprises, clues, puzzles. It gets your mind going. Grandma was helpful without giving us the answer. You most definitely need to think out of the box. Wear comfortable shoes. The clues and puzzles take you all around the room and lead to some surprises. It's a lot of fun. It exceeded our expectations. We are already planning to go back and try another room. They have a room if you want to bring your food but there may be a fee. Call and ask about this. They are always happy to help. Support this family owned business and book at Trapped!

Great experience! We had so much fun with the family. Definitely recommend. Ashley at the place was so great and helpful.

Ask the Community - Trapped Escape Room

Is Grandma's room appropriate for a 7 year old?

I would say yes. Not really anything scary or adult.

Is there a minimum amount of people needed to book? Is two people okay?

Hi Marcelo, thanks for your interest in Trapped! You can book for as few as two players, but for most games we would recommend a team of 4 to 6 to be able to tackle all the puzzles involved as you work towards a common goal. If you only have two… Read more

This is an amazing room and definitely in my top three out of the 50+ rooms we have done. It is a large overall space and has a total of seven different sub-rooms. It is dimly lit and you really feel like you are in an old abandoned high school. There are several jump scares, but I wouldn't say it is scary, just creepy. There is a mix of linear and non-linear puzzles, and a lot of back and forth between rooms. There is a good variety of locks, mechanical puzzles, and pattern/problem solving. There are quite a few puzzles, and the room kept all four of us very busy. There are a few spots where crawling is required, and the floor is pretty hard and not cushioned or carpeted. This room was definitely one of the hardest we have done, but it was so fun the whole time. We escaped with only one minute left. This is one of their three hardest rooms and is ranked 8/10 difficulty which I would agree with. Melissa was our game master and she was very helpful over the walkie talkie when we requested a hint. They have a total of ten different rooms now, and this was our third completed. We will definitely be back to try more.

The designers clearly have no clue what 'immersion' means. In a real dinosaur emergency, would you sit down to solve a crossword puzzle or do abstract math problems? It's absurd, unrealistic, and incredibly lazy. They spent money on animatronics but zero effort on actual logic. If you enjoy paying $100+ to do tedious reading comprehension and pointless arithmetic in a dark room, by all means, go. But if you are a parent looking to have fun with your kids--STAY AWAY. My 11-year-old was bored and frustrated. This isn't a game; it's a chore. Chronos should be embarrassed to call this an 'adventure.' It's a scam for anyone who expects a coherent story or realistic survival puzzles. Total waste of time and money.

Toria, our host was friendly and ensured we had a great experience, going above and beyond what I typically see from most gamemasters. The new games are Vampire vs. Witch and Black Hole. I would strongly recommend Vampire vs. Witch with a smaller group and have the roles swapped out afterwards so you can best experience both puzzle tracks. I would say that, for a 15 minute game, Vampire vs. Witch was pretty cool, definitely worth the small price and would work well if you didn't have too much time or wanted a warmup for either Fatal Invitation or Black Hole. For Chinese speakers, there's also the option to switch the language in the room, but when I played the default was English. There's also an integrated hint system which allows you to communicate through a tablet, which doubles as your timer for the room. Despite having some minor technical issues on a follow-up visit with a different gamemaster, we did have a backup walkie so make sure to keep that one close by as well. Overall, I thought that these were fun rooms that, without giving away too much, challenged the norms of typical escape game style puzzles in a way that was refreshing and cleverly entertaining.

However, we came across Escape Duck, and we both happy to hear they accept walk-in! Another criteria I was looking for was a beginner friendly escape room. Overall, we were both very engaged, but enjoyed the experience. I would come back to try the other rooms in the future. In terms of payment, keep in mind that they do not accept card payment. Almost all of Escapade Games' rooms have a horror element and are obviously targeted towards the colleges nearby, but not only was Rockin' adapted to accommodate parties of two; for this season, it was themed to fit the holidays. We also got a very pleasant surprise when it came time to pay for our online reservation: it was half the price of a standard room for a party of 8! This was a (happy) shock because we are used to paying for 3 or 4, even though we are a duo. The 2025 Pineapple Express had slowed to a steady trickle by the time we arrived at Escapade Games Christmas Eve after a music-less British pub lunch less than a two-minute drive away. The cavernous restrooms, located outside the lobby, were clean, and the lobby looked like it was in the midst of some renovation, but another game was going on, and since we already filled out our waivers, we settled down to wait for our game to start. And waited. And waited. And waited. When we finally started our hour-long game, after the technical difficulties were resolved and the game rules reminders given, all was forgiven very fast: as a bonus to playing a game that was getting ready to be put out of commission, we could take unlimited photos in the room! And there was so much to do in the music-themed room: even though not all the instruments were playable, and there were still minor glitches as we were playing, Joey was a terrific game host - he, too, made a quick recovery from the technical issues and was as determined as we were to have a phenomenal game. There was no timer in the room, but going by our photos, we were done in 52:48, with a lot of help. Our favourite puzzles had to do with the picks and bands, and playing the instruments to rise back up to the top of the pops as rockstars is such an original theme. The music played put us in the holiday mood - especially "The 12 Days of Christmas". That's probably not our favourite Christmas song, but it helped that I just got done with Susan Stokes-Chapman's holiday short story collection! Rockin' around the Christmas Tree is set to what we consider 3-G (Generation 3, with a lot of computer FX elements) tasks with G-1 locks, and, despite the late start, was very much the best Christmas present to set us off on our holidays! Joey, our heroic gamemaster, was a huge part of the fun game we had. We could tell he had started off not having such a good Christmas because the room's serious technical issues were clearly unexpected, but he fixed everything so that we could have a great time. We eventually realized the fantastic price we paid was not just because our game, unlike other Escapade rooms, did not feature a live actor in the room. Even more importantly, we only found out, after our game, that the room was being taken down to make way for a three-room movie-based horror adventure. We are so, so glad that we got to experience Rockin' around the Christmas Tree before it was dismantled, and keep our fingers crossed it gets a spectacular comeback in the near future (like the rockstars we were supposed to be!) That said, we are looking forward to checking out anything else Escapade Games has to offer - can't wait for more games in 2026! This review is duplicated on Yelp and Google.

Coming back for the updated version, I honestly didn't expect it to top the first one -- but it absolutely did.
