We escaped!! So much fun interactive and exciting! We did Awakened 2.0 and was a bit scary but soo much fun! Can't wait to come back!

We returned to Chronos Escape Room for our third visit, this time bringing a few friends along to try their Awakened 2.0 room. This is an amazing room and definitely in my top three out of the 50+ rooms we have done. It is a large overall space and has a total of seven different sub-rooms. It is dimly lit and you really feel like you are in an old abandoned high school. There are several jump scares, but I wouldn't say it is scary, just creepy. There is a mix of linear and non-linear puzzles, and a lot of back and forth between rooms. There is a good variety of locks, mechanical puzzles, and pattern/problem solving. There are quite a few puzzles, and the room kept all four of us very busy. There are a few spots where crawling is required, and the floor is pretty hard and not cushioned or carpeted. This room was definitely one of the hardest we have done, but it was so fun the whole time. We escaped with only one minute left. This is one of their three hardest rooms and is ranked 8/10 difficulty which I would agree with. Melissa was our game master and she was very helpful over the walkie talkie when we requested a hint. They have a total of ten different rooms now, and this was our third completed. We will definitely be back to try more. read more

Unsure what the owner is talking about here. We were asked after our game to leave a review if we wanted to spin the prize wheel. Perhaps if you win the game, you get to spin it without leaving a review. But this is not a lie, your employee absolutely asked us this. Again the dollhouse was a great idea, but cabinets were already opened that we were supposed to open, and the magnets did not work. A lot of the game master instruction was just telling us to wait longer for the magnets to actually work. I think if you were to check this place out, try one of their top rooms, and only leave a good review if you actually want to! ---- Came here to say - DO NOT TRUST THE 5 STAR REVIEWS. This place asks you to leave a 5-star review on yelp for them after the game so you can spin their wheel in the lobby. We came here for my birthday, and were super uncomfortable with this request because our experience was already subpar (we do NOT recommend the Dollhouse. Great atmosphere but really awful game design. Things were already open, there were confusing red herrings that didn't make any sense in the story, and the magnets didn't work. My son was in town celebrating his college graduation so we decided to do an escape room as one of our family activities and we had such a blast!! We did The Last Winter room which is an immersive Game of Thrones experience - it was challenging but very fun! And definitely a must for any GOT fans. This was my first time ever doing an escape room so I was a little nervous bc I don't do well if I have to solve complex puzzles under pressure. I really liked that their website explained the difficulty level of each themed room and the time they give you to solve them. And it was very easy to book our time slot online. The Last Winter is a moderately difficult room and I'm glad my son is an escape room pro bc I don't think I would've made it out of the first room LOL!! But we did make it out in the end with 2 minutes to spare and it was just such a fun time - I would totally love to come back and do another room! After we finished, everyone in our party got to spin their prize wheel and I won a free game!! We also won a free Polaroid so that was a really awesome memento. The staff were super friendly and helpful and are available by walkie talkie if you need help during your game. They're located in a warehouse plaza - and their facility is massive. There's plenty of parking but the surrounding area seemed really sketchy so be aware. I had a great first experience with my escape room and would love to come back and do their Jurassic Park room - it looked and sounded awesome! read more

This is one of my favorite escape rooms! I've been here so many times cause they really put a lot of effort into their rooms. I've tried almost all of their rooms in the past couple of years: Awakened 2.0, Inception, Blood Thirst, Voyage of the Sea Serpent, Chronostopia, and Jurassic Island. They are super creative with their puzzles to fit the theme of each room, some are challenging, but you can get hints through the walkie-talkie. For big groups, the Awakened is a must-do! There's a couple of scares but doable even for those not fond of horror themes. For beginners, Inception was a fun one to start with. The best part about their escape rooms, is that they make it really immersive with their high-tech puzzles and not just using a bunch of padlocks to lock everything. For $35-40/per person, it's a bang for your buck, cause I've been to others that cost $50/person and the immersiveness is comparable. read more

Jurassic Island? More like 'English Exam Island.' This was hands down the worst-designed escape room I have ever experienced. It's an absolute joke. The designers clearly have no clue what 'immersion' means. In a real dinosaur emergency, would you sit down to solve a crossword puzzle or do abstract math problems? It's absurd, unrealistic, and incredibly lazy. They spent money on animatronics but zero effort on actual logic. If you enjoy paying $100+ to do tedious reading comprehension and pointless arithmetic in a dark room, by all means, go. But if you are a parent looking to have fun with your kids--STAY AWAY. My 11-year-old was bored and frustrated. This isn't a game; it's a chore. Chronos should be embarrassed to call this an 'adventure.' It's a scam for anyone who expects a coherent story or realistic survival puzzles. Total waste of time and money. read more

Our game was Awakened 2.0 We have been to Chronos in the past and had a good time. I think they have new ownership because it was a different experience. The game we played was bilingual (English and Chinese) and it was very confusing seeing everything written twice - to the point they had signs that said "Chinese players only". It's their "scariest" room so imagine seeing all the spooky writing on the walls in two languages it just takes away from the ambiance. Overall, the staff was nice, but we would not recommend. read more

Great experience, we came in a group and the kids had fun. The staff was friendly and helped the kids get set up. They are open on Sundays, which was great. A friend of ours from Irvine met us here. Parking is convenient, It's easy to find and they had a cute area to take pics. I can't remember the room we chose, but it was like a fantasy type of forest. My only critique is usually in escape rooms, there is an average of around three things you have to do unlock before you can escape to the next room but some of these rooms had up to six problems we had to solve, and I think for the little kids, it was a little out of their scope of comprehension and problem solving. We as the adults had to help them. Also, I could tell somebody just made up some of the stuff which is fun, but it's kind of confusing for people that aren't used to escape rooms. There was no pattern to follow. I would suggest letting the people know in advanced that the fantasy forest one is kind of more elaborate and advanced. I am not sure if they have different escape rooms with different levels of understanding. Perhaps they could do easier ones with only two puzzles to solve to get to the next room versus like six. Overall it was fun and we plan to go back and try a different room. Thank you read more

We had so much fun finding the treasure and fighting pirates on the Sea Serpent. Daniel was a great game master who really did great in not giving us clues unless we asked for them. One of the puzzles was really hard but we got it eventually. Would recommend this room for all ages. read more

Did the Dollhouse room, was very mid unfortunately. Several puzzles were not reset (several cabinet doors were just open and not locked), the Ouija board was glitched didn't work with the word, lock on one of the puzzles had the correct code but did not work (by multiple people in our party). Basically tech was glitched, room was not fully reset, caused some confusion. We still got through but had to ask for several hints where the game master just told us to do what we were already doing, we had to try it again or like force it. Was kind of treating and Mid. Hopefully other rooms are better here. I will probably try a different room maybe since all the other reviews were good, so maybe it was just that room and failure of the room set-up that messed with us. read more

Had a blast, did the jurassic Island room and it was a lot of fun. The props, puzzles, and effects were great.

We did the Voyage of the sea serpent, and it was super fun! The hints were very helpful and the puzzles were engaging.

Highly recommend, so much fun and scary!! Good for it to be a large party, would definitely come back again!

Had my son Bday here highly recommend the arcade area was fun lots to do the laser tag is huge thankfully has ac. It can accommodate a large party !! Definitely wear some neon colors to glow ! The party area was clean the do provide the plates and cups so it's an easy clean up. Food is good of course kids just eat quickly to go run around. read more

Came in just now for a quick room escape. Got here exactly at 8:30PM for their 8:30 Chronostopia, while completing their waivers I asked if we will still have a full hour just for the girl behind the desk to quickly interrupt the guy who was assisting us that "no it says on the website" like ok? Rude. we were essentially on time. Secondly our game master spoke very fast paced, which when speaking through the walkie-talkie the "hints" he gave us sounded like gibberish.
