I was here on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and there were hardly any people here. There is not a ton of parking so if it were to get busy I am not sure if that would be a problem but worth a try. I would recommend a stop if you need a nice relaxing moment in your day.

Then came around and sure as shit it's BIGFOOT LIKE 8 FOOT TALL AND JUST MASSIVE. I SCREAMED LIKE A WARRIOR AND IT JUST RETREATED INTO THE WOODS. WE RAN IN CABIN 2 SO QUICK. It's worth your stop before going to Ocean City. Even better to hang out here if you have to wait to check into a hotel. It's a very nice introduction to Ocean City

It is a very nice waterside park with a large playground area for kids, a covered picnic area and of course the area with a walkway along the water with a few covered gazebo areas. We came here for a family photo shoot…read more THE PARK: Parking/entry fee was $10 for state residents and $20 for all others, paid via a machine. By the time we got here the facilities up front were closed so I have no idea what was available sans for restrooms and an outdoor shower. According to the website, shower and changing facilities are available, along with a food concession, chair & umbrella rentals, even a Mobi-Mat which allows wheelchairs to be pushed onto the beach (such a great idea). The sandy area is very wide and stretches for 3 miles with zero shady spots or trees. Lifeguards were gone for the day with their stands turned upside down. I noticed some vehicles actually parked on the beach near the northern end, a very cool perk that is not allowed back home. Ocean conditions were fairly calm but most folks were in waist-high water at most. OVERALL: Spacious real estate, but coming from Hawaii, my expectations are set too high, LOL.

That is the one draw for nice sunny days. That said, this place is freshly redone, looks beautiful, and has made excellent use of its acreage, to get a variety of recreational options into every corner of the space! Port-a-potty restrooms off the parking lot. Playground has a SUPER HIGH slide that is pretty friggin exciting. Plenty of play structures, swings (one all-abilities swing), and rubber turf. Pavilion has a number of picnic tables and trash cans. Adjacent green lawn space can be used for picnicking or chilling. Not enough room to fly a kite, but the beaches are so close, they're much better for that anyway. Sport courts (tennis, basketball, pickle ball) are gorgeously surfaced, and well-netted/-fenced. Dog park is all fenced, bag station, benches, and rules clearly posted. Great find in Cape May County!!!

This is a hidden spot in Delaware and its so beautiful. You won't find many people here but you will find your perfect quiet place whether kayaking, biking, crabbing, hiking, or swimming ( public boat ramp). The observation tower is the best view of the Assawoman Bay and wildlife . You will see lots of bald eagles, river otters, giant woodpeckers , blue heron, egrets. SMH why all those cars are sitting in traffic to go to the beach when you can go to the bay ? It's completely free ...lots of fishing and crabbing , sailing , paddle boarding and don't forget to bring the dogs because they are allowed here!
