A great experience with a great guide who was knowledgeable and affable. It was wonderful to get a tour of the bay from a life-long local. Good equipment and with the good fortune (or business savvy) to launch from a secluded public beach in James Farm Ecological Preserve. My one quibble is that they need better signage to mark the correct trail to take from the parking lot to the beach. read more

My family 3 adults and 2 children had a wonderful time on the water. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. Our fellow travelers were also fun. The kayaking was just at the right level -- not too easy or hard. The wind made birding difficult but the water and bay were lovely. read more

We did the Sunset Paddle to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was great fun (and manageable and safe for a retired couple). Nate, our guide, was helpful from beginning (eg, quick refresher on best practices) to end (eg, permitting our preference to stay on the water until the sunset, and then helping us on shore). It's a 10 min walk into the trail to get to the little beach area. It's so easy to get there and enjoy your day. Guides are personable and kayaks are in good shape. I would recommend to families and couples looking to have a nice time. I love that this is away from the beach traffic. We've tried the 9am and 1 pm tours and now just sunset for our trifecta. read more

They offer a great two day camp for kids. The camp provides the kids with the fundamentals of kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. In addition the kids are introduced to the sea life that inhabits the bay. The camp also provides adults with guided nature tours and several other tours. You can also rent kayak and sup boards for individual excursions. Nice leisurely walk from the parking lot to the facility. Great way to experience the Indian River Bay- low key paddle, our knowledgeable guide Bruce explained the history of the area and identified lots of fish and wildlife- including a slew of stingrays all around us. My daughter and I took the guided tour on a kayak for the first time. The water was smooth, so getting around was easy, but the best part was our guide. Bruce was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Looking forward to his recommendations of the local restaurants, especially when we shared stories of our past lives as chefs. Highly recommend taking the guided tour. A friend and I scheduled a 10:00am SUP yoga adventure with Ecobay. Our receipt told us to wait in the parking spot and staff would come to get us. At 10:00, I called and was told to walk to the beach. Minor miscommunication, no biggie. Debby was our instructor and after a few minor instructions, we were out on the water. My friend has done SUP yoga before and although I practice yoga almost daily, I had never done SUP. The water was calm and it was a beautiful day. I was able to paddle while standing, but the majority of the yoga practice I did on my knees since I couldn't get good balance. This definitely tested my core and upper body! It was a great morning and Debby was a wonderful instructor. We both had a great time and I'm looking forward to my next visit. read more

We had a great sunset paddle with Bruce, who told us all about the bay, birds, crabs, and surrounding area. We actually visited the same beach earlier in the day, so it was fascinating to come back at high tide and realize everything we'd explored by wading was now under water. Awesome educational eco kayak tour. Bruce was our tour guide. Highly recommend him as he was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and ecosystem of the Indian River. We got up close to the marshes and heard it "breathing" (a gurgling sound from mussels), saw egrets, comerants, a flounder skirting along, dug for clams, and learned many other things. And got some good exercise kayaking in the process. Highly recommend. read more

This is a great little business. We went for the moonlight cruise last year and a quick rental this year. Last year's outing was with 2 other couples and one of the other women swamped. The guide was quick to help her try to get back in her kayak before the bay jellyfish got to her. The wildlife was spectacular and we took plenty of pics. The price was reasonable both times. Awesome experience. Staff was overwhelmingly friendly and helpful. We took four adults and two children (age 3 & 4) out Stand Up Paddle Boarding for our first time. Staff helped us get set up, gave us some pointers, and sent us on our way. Will definitely recommend and will be returning again in the future. read more

Not worth it! Our guide was not particularly informative except to share about himself and all the places he's lived. He was good natured, but not very educational. He had just a couple of things to say about the bay and how it was the lowest tide he had ever seen there. We saw very little on our excursion and the group of about 8 kayaks, mostly doubles, was not eager to travel too far so we actually got back about a half hour ahead of schedule. It was $90.00 for the two of us and if you want an informative experience, this is not the way to go. The Eco Taxi out of Lewes is much more informative and fun, just not in a kayak. I thought the kayak would let us get closer to nature. Very disappointing even for half the cost. read more
