If you are trying to book kite lessons, you have to be super diligent in following up with them otherwise the college kids that work there won't. Good little shop. Worth stopping in. It is not in Maui, it is East of Maui. ;)

I feel like a real insider now, because I found the most perfect kayak and sailboat rental place…read more I've been here twice this year I get nothing but great energy from Jen and Mitch; paddling or sailing with them is like being with my own paddle club back on the Ches. I've gotten awesome service from them - whether it's booking a lesson last minute, or asking for a touring yak pre-seasons. Their little shop is adorable and in a perfectly serene location right on the bay. I can't tell you how much this counts for me - city docks and slips are just un-fun and their shop feels like my favorite put-in back home. They are both experienced paddlers and chatting with them is just like chatting with any of the sea kayakers in my paddle club. The Lil-Ass Bay (I'm sorry, I just can't help it) is also a great paddling spot ! With extremely limited boat traffic, and a refuge to it's north, kayaks can relax a bit and focus on observing the wildlife without having to keep their head on a pivot for speeding boaters and fishermen. These same reasons also make it a great place to take sailing lessons and let the wind carry you a bit. I have to admit that I've never actually paid attention to the prices ahead of time. You can tell when you're dealing with Jen, Mitch, or any of their helpers that they are going to be fair and reasonable. So I've always just gone out, come back when I wanted to, and paid and every single time I've been happily surprised at the price. Even the sailing lesson was more affordable than I expected. Paddling here is like paddling with a friend. Will definitely be back on this trip and many future ones. Quite side note about sailing, yes, they do have some rules about sailing as another review posted - not being able to jibe can be a little bit annoying sometimes when you really just want to run or reach down a bit, but it allows them to keep the sailing accessible and affordable to more people, which is important. Can't wait to get back out there again.

This time I rented two double kayaks for 1 hour at $30 each or $60 total. I also rented one single kayak for one hour or $20. Our total cost was $80 for two doubles and one single kayak in total. This time we traveled south in the bay since the current was moving North. That made it easier for us to kayak back to the kayak base. We returned within one hour. I also purchased a Coastal Kayak hoodie for $40. We agreed we will return here again.

Stumbled across the Pints & Paddles through the Dogfish Head website and thought: "this sounds like an awesome Father's Day activity", ran it by my stepmother who immediately wrote back with an excited YES! Your dad will love this. So I called up, spoke to Matt and he sold me on the tour immediately. A week and a half later, on one of the hottest days of summer thus far, we were lathered up in our SPF 70, hydrated with water and were ready for our adventure. It was just the four of us, plus Matt, on the tour. He managed to get us into the water without anyone falling in and gave us a peaceful paddle down the Broadkill River pointing out lazy turtles sunning themselves, a few blue herons and a tree where bald eagles are known to nest. The paddle was pretty easy, and despite the heat, we all managed it pretty well (with the exception of me, who is apparently more out of shape than my 60-something year old family members.. yikes!). Then we clambered back into the van and headed over to DFH Brewery. Awesome tour (maybe I'll write a separate review over on their Yelp), excellent tastings and made me appreciate one of my favorite craft brewers even more than I already do. Anyway, thanks again Matt (and Dogfish!) for an awesome afternoon and great memory for my vacation... looking forward to heading back to another adventure on our next family vacation to Delaware.

Per their web page the weekly rental was listed as $350. The reservation and delivery address was done over the phone. The mat was delivered on time. There were no issues with the rental until I noticed that my charge card was charged $500. Upon questioning why the price was $500. They told me that the web page was in error, the price had increased, and the web page was being updated. (Yes my error, I never confirmed with them that the price was as documented in their webpage) It is now almost 3 months later and their webpage still indicates a price of $350 for a week rental of a 6x12 mat. If you must do business with them be careful of getting the price in writing before agreeing to anything.

My family and I rented a pontoon boat for our family of 8. We filled out the waivers ahead of time…read moreand arrived early to go over any additional paperwork. The people on the dock gave us a very brief overview of the boat and gave us a map to use on the bay. We headed out and within a few minutes of leaving the marina, we noticed something wasn't quite right with the engine. It was making a sound that reminded us of metal clinking together. As we continued on, the motor stalled out and would not start again which brought on some serious panic. We called the number that we used to book the reservation and the woman on the line stated that she didn't handle this sort of thing, which was not helpful in our current situation. We finally realized that the person on the dock wrote his phone number on the back of our map. We called it several times with no answer. This brought on more concern as we were stuck in the channel and had no way to get back to the dock. We finally received a call back 30 minutes later after waving other boats down for assistance. All in all we got back to the dock to switch out boats but the scary part of all of this is the fact that in a true emergency, no one is available and things could have been much worse. This company needs another hotline besides scheduling if any renters need support or assistance.
