Instead of pulling us to safety, the staff told us not to return and to stay out in the storm. When we finally came back after 30 minutes, they refused any refund, not even for unused fishing gear. Safety and compassion were completely absent. Do not risk your well being or your money with this business. Their reputation looks good on sunny days, but when conditions turned dangerous, they abandoned responsibility. Never again.

We decided to take a boat…read moreout to explore OC for the first time on Saturday and we're so glad we went with Bayside Boat Rentals! Check in was super easy and they gave our driver a 10 minute tutorial on how to operate the boat. Even though our driver has a boating license, they will issue you a temporary license and give you all you need to know to be safe out on the water! I was especially impressed because due to an incident with another group, we started our rental 15 minutes late, and they let us keep the boat for 15 min past our reservation to make up for time lost! For a 6 hour rental (1:30-7:30 PM), the cost was about $507. So split between 7 people, it only cost about $72. So worth it for 6 hours of free exploration time! They told us about a popular sand bar on the map that we checked out first and it was boat city! So many people out enjoying the redneck yacht club--so fun! After, we docked at Fish Tales for lunch. Then we had about 2 hours left, so we went swimming bayside (before getting stung by jellyfish...) and then rounded out the day docking at Seacrets. The pontoons comfortably fit 7 people, and would easily fit 1-3 more! We also had a giant Yeti cooler that fit with plenty of room to spare on the floor. They also come with pretty loud built-in speakers that connect to the radio and Bluetooth so you can DJ from a phone! You can also drop the back ladder for easy access if you decide to go swimming. Overall, the pontoon rental was a highlight of our weekend and we would love to do it again next time! Thanks Bayside Boat Rentals for an awesome first experience.

When you pay $400 for a rental I assumed it included the fuel or I would assume it would say that somewhere when you book. Charged an additional $76.06 for fuel when we got back.

They also described where to park when we got there. The guys were super friendly and got us all set up very quickly. I rented a stand up paddle board, and my husband rented a kayak. We were able to leave our things with them while we went out on the water. The water itself was really peaceful and relaxing. My standup paddle board rental only cost $20 for the hour, which I thought was totally reasonable. FYI, if you need to change, you can use the bathroom in the Princess Bayside. It wasn't the nicest of bathrooms, but at least it was something.

This delay meant we were still out on the water around 8pm and asked to return early since boats aren't allowed out after dark. The staff was friendly and did their best to make it right, but overall, the experience felt disorganized--they didn't seem to know how long we had rented the boat for. I appreciated that they tried to compensate, but better communication and organization would have helped. This may have been due to the holiday, but it's something to keep in mind.

Tobias, in particular, treated our family with blatant discrimination and disrespect. What's worse -- Tobias came up to me without permission, put his hands on me, and snatched the key from my chest. Completely unprofessional, invasive, and unacceptable behavior. No one has the right to put their hands on a customer without consent. When we brought this serious issue to the manager, Derek, he refused to listen. He didn't ask for details, didn't show any concern -- instead, he dismissed us immediately and made it clear he wasn't interested in holding anyone accountable. Meanwhile, other families were treated with full leniency and respect -- we were the only ones singled out and harassed. Sarah, Derek, Tobias, and Alec showed a complete lack of professionalism and basic human decency. This wasn't just bad service -- it was racism and physical disrespect. Disgusting behavior. Do not waste your time, money, or dignity at Paradise Watersports. No customer should be subjected to this kind of treatment. Companies like this do not deserve to stay in business. Our kids and us wanted to parasail and called OC parasail companies . We got some discount coupons…read morefrom our hotel and called up OC .. they gave us about 20$ discount on each ticket which was useful. The price is based on height they take you. We took 800 Ft , which was for 79$ .. generally they take 2 or 3 people in a parasail ride . Nice and customer friendly . They take you in a boat and it takes about 2 hours to finish the ride and come back . One of our kids didn't want to parasail and they charged 25$ for him to come with us . I wish they let him free because he was less than 9 years and he sat on our lap. Parking was a bit messy ... Overall a good experience ... 4 stars !
