The Salisbury Zoo is such a cute, fun, (and free!) way to spend an afternoon…read more They have bears, a white peacock named peekaboo (who is not albino contrary to popular belief), flamingos, macaws, otters and much more. They were working on one small section, but it didn't disrupt too much. It doesn't matter which entrance you start at - there's not much of a hill, and there is park to walk in on either side of the zoo as well. The only animals we didn't see were the Spectacled Owl, Lynx, Prairie Dog, some of the monkeys, Ocelot, and Fox Squirrel. Everything else was out and mostly awake. My favorites were the Burrowing Owl, Peccary, and Flamingos. I've never been that close to a flamingo before and they sounded like geese! We'll definitely stop in again whenever we're in the area. (an EV charger nearby would be perfect!)
