Prices were all over the place, from $35K down to $5K. I just knew I wanted to go with his company after talking to him. He wasn't the cheapest, but it felt like I was talking to family, so I went with the good vibes. Richard totally understood what I wanted and what his company could do. He gave me options, and we talked through the plan. I was heading to Korea for a year with the Army, so he worked with me, doing the project in parts based on my budget. Even when the prices for materials went up, he explained everything. After I got back from Korea, I saw some damage on one of the boards, probably due to high winds or a storm. I sent Richard a text and some pics, and within a week, he was out here, inspecting everything and ended up replacing seven boards! He really pays attention to detail and takes pride in his work. The cost for the upkeep was super reasonable. Starting a business is tough, and it's easy for small businesses to get lost. I love supporting local businesses. Gate was delivered/installed on 7/11/24. The gate is exactly what I wanted/ordered and color matches the vinyl siding on my home perfectly. It's been a week since last email no response. Do not hire this company. I want my money back so i can hire somebody else who can do the right. As in many other complaints Kim gives a date for install and nobody shows up. It took 30 days from the date of install before they showed up. So many excuses. I'm also filing a complaint with the BBB which i'm sure they are not a member of

James Martinez recently installed a privacy fence and a roll bar on top to keep coyotes out of my backyard for me and I am thoroughly pleased with the job he and his crew did. James' word is his bond. When he tells you he is going to be at your location on a specific day and time, that's when he shows up. He doesn't leave the job until it's completed to the customer's satisfaction. James and his crew are very polite, courteous, respectful and have an exceptional customer service attitude. James constructed two beautiful gates to accompany the new height of the privacy fence, painted, installed, added decoration to my specifications and they are beautiful. When the job was completed, James completely cleaned up all debris and removed it. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN. He pays no attention to detail, left the place a mess (and told me to clean it myself when I said something), and every single post and the pole across the top are scratched. He made little to no attempt to paint over the scratches. He also was upset that I talked with my neighbor, an expert in the fencing business (retired due to illness) to get info and he offered to come over a couple of times during the day to check things out. He got very angry with me and was extremely ugly. I let him know that he should not use me as a reference - and he said he didn't need any references as he has plenty of large commercial jobs! OH, and he also said I was racist because I didn't offer them bottles of water during the day... I pointed out to him that I have 15 Hispanic grandchildren, 3 Hispanic great grands, and a Chinese daughter. I also told him that the professional, respectful people who re-roofed my house got a cold beer at the end of each day! He obviously couldn't handle me getting advice from someone more knowledgeable than he (who used to be his boss)... A few pictures attached. One more thing, I should have known not to hire him as he did a gate for me a little over a year ago that was sloppy at best and it was already detaching from the side of the house. I asked him to fix it while he was here and he said he would. Then he wanted to charge me $220!!! He does NOT stand behind his work! I have reported to the BBB and retained the texts he sent (and mine), as well as pictures of the poor work as proof of his shoddy work.
