Cool, that's fine, I know it's expensive for the compressor and labor, but a week later it started blowing out hot air again. I brought it back and he said it was low on Freon and sometimes that happens. Okay. It was fine in the winter and lasted a little while after that. Well a few months ago it started blowing out hot air AGAIN... I bring it in again (stupid me for trusting the same guy that didn't fix or diagnose the problem correctly in the first place) he tells me that now the evaporator has a leak and it will cost me $600+ dollars. My father in law is a mechanic and came over to look at my car for a second opinion because something just felt off with the owner of this shop, and he told me that my fan and cabin air filter needed to be changed. Those are the FIRST things somebody should look at, I have a Honda... the cabin air filter is right there and Wayne didn't even look at it or tell me it needed to be changed. My father in law told me the evaporator didn't have a leak and that wasn't why my car was blowing out hot air. He changed the fan and air filter (less than $100) and now my car is blowing out cool air and has the right amount of pressure. This man was about to just take over 600 dollars from me for no reason. Even if he changed the evaporator for me, it wouldn't make a difference if my fan and air filter needed to be changed, he didn't diagnose the problem correctly. Not to mention never picked up the phone when I tried to call him to see when my car would be ready for pick up after he looked at it. I was going to have him change the evaporator and thank God I didn't. When I called multiple times and left voicemails asking him when I could get my car. He FINALLY picked up and told me it wouldn't be ready that day and it would take him a few days, then proceeded to say "oh guesss I should have told you that it wouldn't be ready today" you think??? Was he just going to keep my car and not tell me? People have jobs they need to get to in the mornings typically. I sat around the whole day waiting to go pick up my car. I'm SO glad that I didn't pay this piece of crap any more money. Please take my advice and go somewhere else.

I contacted the Hyundai dealer who quoted me $5000 for just the 2 front shocks. I bought the 4 replacement shocks online for $1,550 at Richie's suggestion. Richie's installed them for $600. So I saved $3,000. This is the 2nd repair Richie's has done for me. His pricing is really fair and the quality of his work is fantastic.

They cut out a rusted piece of the roof, welded in a new piece, and leveled it out. It really looks like it rolled from the factory like that. Richie (Rico I believe is his actual name) is super friendly and very polite, despite my impatience with the communication issues. His calm and very kind personality quickly defused my frustrations and led me to actually plan on coming back to have them do the paint when it's ready. I originally gave them a one-star review due to the communication issues and how long the repairs took. But decided to up it to four stars because of the quality and how polite Richie was. Update 4/2/2024: I actually ended up bringing the car back to have Richie's do my rusted floor pans and trunk after another shop quoted me over $6,000. These guys did an incredible job for 1/3 of the price. They even installed a convenient fuel-pump-access panel in the trunk, sealed the new pans, and even put body filler in to make it look factory. What an incredible job! I cannot wait to come back for the body work and paint, which they gave me a very fair estimate on. I think I've found my go-to body shop!
