I think I've figured out why St. Tropez is considered a prime location for the wealthy. Sure it has amazing weather, and beautiful beaches that are topless, a little town with a busy night life. But the reason it's so exclusive is because it's hard to get to!
Driving and taxi takes forever and there is always traffic. The famous trains in Europe go nowhere near it. So either you take your helicopter or yacht. I'm not Puff Daddy so the only way I could get to St.Tropez is through Trans Cote D'Azur.
It's a transfer boat or ferry that goes from Nice, France to St. Tropez in about 2 1/2 hours. The price is $56 Euros which is about $85 dollars. I know what your thinking... The French Riviera is not for budget travelers. Work hard, play hard is my motto.
That being said, food and drinks are reasonably priced on the boat. The staff is friendly and helpful and that's saying a lot in France, majority of the French are (shut yo mouth). I'm gonna be good. Worth the money and St.Tropez is a nice place to visit, not a place to stay for any long amount of time.
So if you find yourself in South France and wanting to go to St Tropez. Trans Cote D'Azur is the only way to go. read more
