Melissa said brown or light brown whatever shade your eyebrows are or whatever you want, but when I got there and I laid down on the table, she said only thing she does is black. I said well OK . I then asked if my eyelashes are long enough for this ?she said "yes they are ". One hour later....once She gave me the mirror . absolutely nothing changed. Only thing different was she got black dye on my waterline on my top lid but none on the other lid my eyelashes did not curl. They didn't look any different. I mean, the did didn't even set in .. Maybe my eyelashes were oily ...She should've washed them out and I don't know but they did not make me pay for them so they're pretty good about that even the receptionist must have seen that it didn't take. The girl that was doing my eyelashes was not very friendly either.

It may have been her first day because she was working with another person, but I feel that she could have verified what my appointment was so that I could have confirmed prior to me getting the hour massage and thereby having to pay for the full service. Nevertheless, I was still satisfied with my service. I had Linda as my massage therapist. Initially I was worried because I'm about 5'10" and she is about 5' and I was wondering if she would be able to use enough pressure but she did not disappoint!!! Lol she was awesome and I feel so great! I would recommend her for sure. Overall Kona Oasis is a beautiful spa and I would love to come back for more services. That being said, my brows always come out perfect (getting them waxed it's always been 50/50) and it seems like it takes them a lot longer to grow back. I used to get them waxed every 2 weeks and usually can go 4-6 weeks in between threading. She gives my eyebrows a nice shape and does not make them too thin like some other places have. She is also very quick and precise. I appreciate this because I find threading to be pretty painful and I like for it to be over quickly. I can walk in and out within 10 minutes at Brow Studio 7. They have a rewards program. Every dollar you spend you get a point and eventually you can earn a free eyebrow threading. It costs $10 to get your brows done which is pretty reasonable. The lady tells me that I should come every two weeks, but I try to go every three weeks. The rewards program tells her the last time I was there. I don't really mind when she mentions it. Overall I'm glad to have found Brow Studio 7 because they do a great job and are very fast. No more waiting 30 minutes to get my brows done at the mall!

Now Groupon said it shows redeemed and provider said they never got payment. I am seeking a refund through Groupon and with this provider but let this be a cautionary note. I would not use this provider s what they did feels like fraud. I have logged complaints with BBB and Groupon and will be contacting the NY attorney general office to file a formal complaint. Go someplace that is a reputable service provider and steer clear of this one. They still are selling services through Groupon so watch out!

I will post the photos of the very unprofessional response she left to my review and the appt confirmation I saw the reviews and gave this place a go, but I regret it. I had a bad experience and will NOT come back! There were people (her coworkers) walking in and out of the room during my appt, which was unprofessional and made me uncomfortable. She didn't ask me if it was okay or anything. I got a fibroblast done here with the owner, Maya, where I got permanent hypopigmentation spots on my face and dark burn marks from the pen she used. There are spots that are whiter or lighter than my skin, which means that my skin is depigmented and hypopigmented. She doesn't seem very skilled or knowledgeable with this treatment, so I don't recommend it here at all, even if it's cheaper than other places. Go to a professional like an NP or dermatologist for this treatment, or just don't do it at all. It just made my skin way worse. Now I have to spend so much money fixing this problem that may never leave It has caused me distress over my appearance since my skin got worse than when I came in and there's nothing that can fix it. When I left my review on Google, she told me that I had the wrong place. I've never been to her spa and to delete my review. When I updated it, she gave a very unprofessional response and said I'm not a real client. When people have a bad first experience somewhere, they don't feel comfortable returning, which is how I felt. I didn't feel comfortable reaching out or saying anything because of the way my appt was and the way I felt, and I didn't want to come back. And her reply definitely made me not want to reach out or disclose myself to her. Possibly fixing this issue I got from the fibroblast is something that is advanced and is best done by a health provider like a dermatologist, which is a fact I shared my personal experience and regret that I went here. I'm posting this again for other people to see that I personally don't recommend getting the fibroblast done here. The other treatments are probably fine, but fibroblast should be done by someone with nurse/doctor. Edit: the owner replied once again claiming I'm not a client and said I signed a consent form. This treatment was recommended by her and she reassured me it would work well with my skin and the reason my skin COMPLETELY dipigmented is because of her holding the pen in place too long and over and over in the same spot and constantly rubbing it afterwords with a qtip until it bled even though I told her to leave it so it's clearly due to her negligence and a lack of knowledge/skill issue because of the way in which she used it. Just the way she responds to her negative reviews speaks volumes on how she handles criticism. Any negative review is apparently not possible and everyone is a competitor. The way she responds makes you not even want to reach out. Very unprofessional. Do not recommend at all.

The salon has a great vibe and everyone was happy to be working there ( which is rare these days ) the room was quiet and exceptionally clean and inviting. Madison did a 1 hour eminence facial and o enjoyed every therapeutic minute. She did a scalp massage neck and shoulder massage as well as hand and arm treatment . The product was amazing , the facial was very helpful with my acne prone skin . I felt like the product along with her technique really helped my skin to absorb the nutrients. I am not new to facials as I have them monthly and I will be back to have treatments with her 100% she was honest and forthcoming when I asked questions and I appreciated her advice. The lady who did my threading did a great job with the shaping and even convinced me to get my first eyebrow tint. The workers will constantly mention the different services they have. Constantly. Every 60 seconds, they will mention it. I thought agreeing to the extra tint service would make it stop, but then another lady came over and shoved their menu in my face and went into another speech about the services they offer. The color she chose for the tint was too dark for my blonde hair and caused alot of laughter and teasing from my husband. I went home and scrubbed off as much of the tint with clarifying shampoo as I could so it was tolerable. It would have been beautiful with just one shade lighter. The biggest issue was the wound that was left from the threading. I couldn't get a decent picture of it, but it was very clearly from her pinching my skin too tightly in the one spot with the thread. It doesn't look bad, but hurts terribly even several days later whenever I try to put on makeup or moisturizer. It was just a mistake honestly... Overall, this threading was much less painful than others I have gotten. I would like to come back and give them another chance. Maybe it was just an off day.
