Good experience at Tranquility today. Arrived at 11:30AM and they were ready for me. Technician did a very nice job with the pedicure and it didn't take forever - which I really appreciate. Its a nice touch that you get a little massage waiting for your toes to dry. I wish they'd sterilize the pedicure tools, so I'm very careful about them not cutting my cuticles or the sides of my toenails. read more

My friend and I decided to get manis during lunch. We go Tuesday afternoon 1pm. Its dead. I've gone to Tranquility in the Enfield Mall and was not thoroughly thrilled about their service. First off, I feel like its just a nail factory that just cranks out mani/pedis with no customer service. The polish selection is awful with no good quality polish and they are all old. They have to add thinner to the polishes which I hate! I think it brings the quality down and your mani will not last as long. Well, my friends chipped later that night. And then my nails started to chip! so much that one nail has completely chipped off. I contemplated going in to have them fix it but think it would be a waste of my time and it would probably chip again. I am very disappointed to have spent $15 (mani +tip) for this manicure since I will probably end up taking off my polish this weekend. its Thursday afternoon as I write this review, so proof that this mani did not even last me a full day. I've Gone here twice, 1st time a few years ago with a friend we got pedicures, the experience was great, and I enjoyed it actually, until I got nail fungus on one of my big toes. Then I went today with my mother we had gift certificates we've been meaning to use and thought it would be nice for Thanksgiving. I do a better job painting my own nails at home. The color is uneven, definitely needs another coat, but I didn't realize it until I got under bright lights at home. And there was a bump on my pinky. Lady who did my nails barely spoke to me, and she wasn't very nice when I couldn't understand her and needed her to repeat 4times where the sink was so I could wash my hands. I won't be going back there ever. Let hope this mani doesn't lead to another fungus...... read more

My daughter and I went in for Brazilian waxes and I did my underarms too. We were told that only one elder lady was the only one who does waxes so we figured she was experienced. We couldn't have been more wrong! She was nice but very inexperienced or just apathetic and uniformed about universal precautions and Covid 19 protocols bc she double dipped the applicator sticks during both of our treatments! We brought it to her attention and she played dumb! We told the manager and she played dumb too! They are unsanitary and just in it for the money! They couldn't have cared less about the potential of spreading diseases or virus! Very dangerous!!! We will never return to them for any of their services fir this reason and they have the nerve to be over priced!!! Smh read more

The worst customer service ever. I went for a fill and pedicure around 7ish on a Saturday. I know I was late and the owner said it was ok.Used to come all the while with my mother and know the owner pretty good. Was greeted by the owner who is friendly. Got a deluxe pedicure and it was pretty good. However when it came to my nail the nail tech was soooooooooo horrible and rude. I told her I didn't like the way she was doing my nails to get the manager she instead to proceed with finishing my nails so I pulled my hands away she then yelled at me and said I couldn't do that she has to finish. I then to her no ur not going to finish ur not doing they right. This is after I paid and tip ! I was furious I waited 20 min for the owner to finish her own nails to have someone else fix my nails. When I got to the new tech the tech from hell came over and started talking to the lady I then asked her y she came over talking shit when she didn't want to do the work earlier their tech from hell then said "KEEP RUNNING UR MOUTH " smfh I almost flipped her ass backed to her country. It took the whole nail salon to calm me down ! So unprofessional and rude !!! read more

So pissed! I paid $50 for a fill and French tip. A day later the nail on my middle finger came clean off like nothing. I go back to get it fixed and get charged another $5 no biggie. Horrible service. The man who did my nails did not say one word to me. I had a polish change on my toes and he never put on top coat. I had a gel manicure and he never put a base coat and did not use white gel polish just a gel top coat. I still gave him a good tip and he never said thank you. I will NEVER BE BACK!!!! read more

Horrible customer service lady got mad because I simply told her that she barely buffed my toes out then my cousin was painting her toes and she did a horrible job painting I got my eye lash extensions removed and she literally took almost all my real lashes off the manager got mad because I simply told her I wasn't going to pay for my lashes because of the fact that she took most of my real lashes off and the girl who took my lashes off started yelling at me in front of everyone so I got Loud with them and the manager was calling names calling us a animal very lucky I didn't punch her in the face had a horrible experience me and my friends I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone terribly owner this place should get shut down OR put new employees and a owner smh so pathetic I am very angry read more

The service isn't good. Came here today for a pedicure typically when I get a pedicure they cut , scrub , and lotion your feet and legs. I feel like this was like 10 mins or less. She didn't use no lotions. Then I went to go pay the employee is standing over the guy and she kept asking me. tip? No tip , tip ? 3 times. Then she walks away and starts talking to another employee. Tranquility Day Spa at the EASTFIELD MALL. Okay, first of all, save yourself some money and DON'T GO! You'll thank me later. I called ahead to ask about a hot stone massage on a cold day - they said they did do them and I could come in an hour. There was an upcharge for the hot stone which is common and it was a 60-minute session/ $75.00. No issue. I arrived on time an was taken in the back by a woman who spoke NO English at all. This was problematic. She should have been doing nails where other English speaking employees could interpret! I wanted to tell her where my pain was, but she could not understand. I wanted to tell her the towel (for me to cover up with - NO SHEET!) smelled like mildew and ask if it was clean but again- could not comprehend. I wanted her to shut the door to the next tiny room so people couldn't see me half naked, but I finally had to get up and do it myself, because she couldn't ... you get it by now! The music she put on was horrible- expected some relaxation, but this was a grating type of fast music and I signaled and shook my head no, and she shut it off. Overall, the place was very dingy and looked dirty. She finally began the massage OVER the towel- not on bare skin and no hot stones! I asked :" Hot stone?" She replied " YES, hot stone" I figured they were still heating. The rubdown WITH towel was a creepy feel. After about 10 mins she removed it, and I thought the stones were coming, but nope. Basic back massage in a chilly room with no sheet at all. Without the music, I could hear all employees nearby and wished she had a relaxation CD, but no way to ask. After another 10 mins of this, I asked :" Got stone?" She said "Yes, stone" and continued the massage. Approx, thirty mins in she finally got the hot stones. Now I see why they use towels! She had to keep wetting them under hot water! I was dripping wet and very uncomfortable the whole time. BAD experience and no way to communicate. I figured I would pay, but not add the 20% and ask the salon to give her a tip out of my money. I went to the front desk, feeling violated and explained EVERYTHING. The man spoke fluent English . He just said : Don't tip. The woman understood this! She looked at me and said " NO TIP?!" I kept trying to tell him how bad this was and thought he might reduce my payment or offer a coupon, but he did not. I asked to speak to the manager and he claimed they were not there. He finally said " Give phone number and mgr. will call you." Surprise! NO CALL. No call, no tip, no good service - no lice I hope (the place did look very bad in those back rooms) Just don't go! read more
