The staff is friendly and you are usually right into the pool because there are usually no line. Just pay and go. I love that. After you pay you will make your way through the boys/girls locker/shower room and into the pool. Parking here is usually enough but on a busy day it can be a bit crazy. We always loved coming here during the summer to get away from the hot weather. The pool is slanted so there is a nice side for babies and toddlers. Towards the other side of the pool is the deep end for the big kids (me) haha. This pool has usually been good in my experience and I will keep coming back unless otherwise. The price is fair and I like outdoor pools so I can get some sun. No food by the poolfor obvious reasons. I would recommend trying it out. Thanks for reading my review.

It was a bit strange today having only one person swimming in the giant pool. It was overcast and rainy, Saturday evening... I guess I was the only one that needed to do laps but, when you're face down in the water, you don't really see anyone else or talk to anyone else. This is my favorite swimming/exercise spot . Can't say enough about it. Don't forget, the membership here also allows you to go to the other Reno area pools. Including Idlewild, north Northwest and Mount Evelyn or Evelyn Mount whatever it is. This facility gets bonus points for being fully self sustainable with the hot springs and solar. The rates are reasonable with discounts on Wednesday evening and Sunday. RecConnect passes start at $12 per month.

First of all, they clearly stated the rules before entering the pool & actually enforced them. For a mom of younger kids to have clear rules enforced was amazing; my kids were never accidentally hit or pushed by older kids. They have 3 water slides and they will allow kids of all ages on them but no life jackets or goggles on the slides . The slides drop into about 3.5 ft deep water so they will catch the kids at the bottom if needed and walk the young ones to the top of the slides too. There is also a baby pool that's is 1-2 ft deep and is slightly warmer than the large pool. There was a life guard on all 4 sides of the pool and they rotated frequently, they really paid attention and made sure everyone was safe. The pool & facilities were clean and seemed very well taken care of. We will definitely be back! FYI they have life jackets available to borrow for free, only coast guard approved floatation devices allowed in the pool, no snorkels or flippers are allowed.

LRC is the best gym in town, better than any commercial gym…read more There are 8 squat racks and 4 benches. That alone tells you how much better this gym is compared to others. Other gyms are bigger, but only have 2 or 3 squat racks. This gym also has rubber plates, so you don't have to worry about breaking the plates when you drop/rack your weight. You can be as loud as you want! There is also an open area for crossfitters, 2 basketball courts, diving pool and a lap pool, and 4 racquetball courts. If you are a student or faculty at the University of Nevada, take advantage of this gym! If you're not a student/faculty, it might be harder to access this gym, as you might need to buy an alumni pass and/or a magnetic ID card to get in. And that's on top of your gym pass. So the only reason why I'm giving this review 4 stars is the price. But you do get what you pay for!

The regular swim tests are a great way to ensure that those entering the deep end are confident swimmers, which definitely adds peace of mind for everyone. I also want to commend the new lifeguards -- they've done a great job making sure young children stay out of the lap lanes. This has made it much safer and more enjoyable for those swimming laps, as it helps prevent accidental kicks or collisions.
