LRC is the best gym in town, better than any commercial gym…read more There are 8 squat racks and 4 benches. That alone tells you how much better this gym is compared to others. Other gyms are bigger, but only have 2 or 3 squat racks. This gym also has rubber plates, so you don't have to worry about breaking the plates when you drop/rack your weight. You can be as loud as you want! There is also an open area for crossfitters, 2 basketball courts, diving pool and a lap pool, and 4 racquetball courts. If you are a student or faculty at the University of Nevada, take advantage of this gym! If you're not a student/faculty, it might be harder to access this gym, as you might need to buy an alumni pass and/or a magnetic ID card to get in. And that's on top of your gym pass. So the only reason why I'm giving this review 4 stars is the price. But you do get what you pay for!

They opened for open swim 1:30 - 6 pm and only charged $2 per kid and $4 for adults. Lots of ample parking at the park as well as their own parking lot. Clean restroom facilities including showers, changing rooms, and toilets. The pool is huge going from 3ft to 10 ft and the middle section separated with floaters for those who may want to do laps. Lots of trees on one side of the pool that provides shade for guests. They also had signage at the entrance explaining that any kids under 18 that would like to swim in the deep end must do a quick swim test (from the divider to end of the deep end). After passing, they give the kids wristbands. The deep end also has several diving boards. They have an abundance of lifeguards all keeping a close eye on the kids. They also have lifejackets on hand for the younger kids that may need it. It was just what we needed to cool down from the heat and I loved the fact that you can bring in your own food, swim toys, and chairs to relax in. Even with two summer camp groups stopping by, it didn't feel crowded. It was definitely a nicer, relaxing environment than a busy day at the water park.

The amenities inside are impressive: two water slides, a kiddie pool, two diving boards, a rock climbing wall over the water, and a competition pool. Outside, the setup is just as beautiful, featuring another competition pool and a large grassy area with several covered picnic spots. The lifeguards here are super friendly and excellent with little kids. One lifeguard at the rock wall even took the time to give my daughter and other kids tips on how to climb a bit higher. All of this comes at a very affordable price: $6 for kids and $7 for adults, which is an amazing deal for everything they offer. We visit the pool several times a year for our kids' swim meets. Our favorite events are the outdoor meets because the grassy area is perfect for setting up canopies and relaxing while cheering on the swimmers. The swimming pool is small but there was room enough for everyone there that day. They have a nice water slide for adults and bigger kids. They also had a little slide for the younger kids. There were plenty enough lifeguards around and warned kids when they were playing unsafe in or around the pool. The also have a little snack shack that sells ice cream, hot dogs, and other snacks. The price was cheap. I don't think they're trying to make money off people. Seems like they just want people to be happy. If I ever felt the need to take a dip in a pool, I'd go there again. Beats swimming in the irrigation canals or ditches. I don't think anyone does that anymore.

There is an Endless amount of free towels you can help yourself to and a limited amount of lockers if you need to put things in for safe keeping. Also there is a roaring firepit here we roasted s'mores at we acquired from the front desk.
