I'm honestly not a big gym kind of girl--don't get me wrong, I enjoy working out, but I just hate doing the same repetitive treadmill, elliptical, stair-master workouts whenever I want to get some exercise. So thankfully, there are unique classes like trampoLEAN out there that keep my workouts exciting so I don't have to drag myself to the gym every time I want to work off the 3 desserts I likely had the night before (#facts). I signed up for the trampoLEAN rave class, thinking that it would just be a fun, little workout on the trampoline where I might sweat a little. HAH. Boy, was I wrong. This is a LEGIT workout, and I guarantee that you will be sweating. A lot. It's basically 50 minutes of non-stop cardio on your mini trampoline, complete with resistance bands (free ones and ones you pull from the ceiling), weights, glow sticks, and of course, rave-y music. Not only did I have a blast jumping every which way on my trampoline (after I got over my initial fear of falling and busting my ass ofc), but it was a great workout! I DEF felt like I burned off most, if not all of my 3 desserts from the night before (thank god so I'll be able to have another 3 desserts the next day), which is all I really want in a workout class. Great place for cardio workout! I've been coming here through Classpass for the last few months and I really love it. The workouts are super fun and not too difficult. You do end up working up a sweat though at the end from all the jumping up and down. The class has a bunch of personal sized trampolines perfect for working out. A lot of people are scared to fall off but I haven't fallen off and I haven't seen anyone fall off in all the times I've gone. The music and lights help to add to your workout. It's kind of like being at a crazy trampoline dance party. I know they have rave nights there but I haven't yet been. I have tried their toning classes and after a class you will be sore. Louis and Brent are great instructors and they will help keep you motivated. They help you if you need it. I always have fun in their classes. I have already recommended this class to everyone who will listen to me. Some people enjoy it, some people don't. TrampoLEAN shares space with a ballroom dancing class and therefore the bathroom/changing room is shared as well. It is not state of the art. It is barely clean and had a limited number of stalls. The least amount of time you can spend in there (if any), the better. Once you enter the ballroom studio, the TrampoLEAN studio is on the right side in the corner room. Yes, you will have to dodge people twirling and sashaying as you make your way to the studio. Feel free to show them some moves while you're at it. WARNING: Do not eat mac & cheese, 10,20,30,40... minutes prior to attending this class. Do not eat ANYTHING for that matter. Do not drink a whole bottle of water, and while we're at it...Do not collect $200 and do not pass go. WARNING: Jumping on a fitness trampoline at the seasoned age of 23,24,25,26...will not be reminiscent of jumping on a trampoline at the age of 9,8,7,6...I don't remember feeling "sore" after jumping on a trampoline then. WARNING: No matter how much you want to dance, do not forget that you're on a tiny trampoline and at any moment, you can fall right off of that tiny trampoline. Kiki has an awesome, high-energy, hip hop mix (share plz!!) , but don't let those "hits make you JUMP, JUMP" off center. However, she will instruct you on how to position yourself to make sure you have the most stable position. *TIP: Wear your yoga socks! She taught us different ways to jump, to squat, to stretch, to lift (yes, there were weights involved), all while utilizing the trampoline. There was even some twerking during the butt section (I need no instruction on that ) and some boxing instruction with the weights during the arm section. I went to trampolean Twerk work out. So much fun!!!!!! If you were ever an athlete this is right up your alley. If you want sweat and a real kick your ass work out, this is it!!! I was expecting more trap music for a twerk workout but the music was still overall good. The instructor was fun and had a great dance moves. She also knew exactly when everyone needed a break. I went on my birthday and this is a such a fun activity to do with a couple friends. We laughed the entire time!!! I felt great the next day, if you have not tried - you should definitely try it once!!! Some recommendations would be to provide the floor the class is held on in the email, it was not easy to find from the lobby, it was also a bit chaotic on the outside of the room where other dance classes were being held - at Stepping Out Studios. read more

If you're looking for a unique exercise class, this is it. I came here through Classpass. I enjoyed the class but don't see myself coming back again. Pros: - it's fun! I found myself smiling throughout the class. You use resistance bands hanging from the ceiling - it's a great cardio workout and there's some strength work throughout the class Cons: - a little bit of a hot mess. The room is crowded, and the moves are nonstop, so don't expect one on one adjustments - the music. Not sure what this playlist was, or if more than 2 songs on repeat were played, but it could definitely use some more variety - it definitely isn't the most intense workout you'll get, and what you'll get out of it is very dependent on you focusing on your form (which is a little hard with the lack of individual feedback and the fast paced nature of the class) Overall, I'd try it out if you're looking for a fun, laidback class that's also a great cardio workout. If you're more about technique or strength, or prefer one on one attention and adjustments from your instructors, it's probably not the best choice. read more

Their Air Conditioning/Ventilation situation is great, you can barely smell the farts. I had Brent as an instructor, who was nice and VERY nonthreatening. I had a really fun time working out, and it's sort of a choose-your-own adventure type of burn. My lower body was on fire halfway through the class, and I chose to ease up a little and do some lighter jumping here and there. The ab portion of class was super challenging, and provided a great sweat session overall. One star off because it's wildly expensive for the facility/equipment they provide. The facilities are fine, very charming - but not for $33 per drop-in class (I know their class packages are cheaper but they expire and I can't commit to a shampoo, let alone a month's worth of workouts). The "waiting area" is a collection of basement furniture. The bathroom/changing area is a similar aesthetic. Once it's time for class, you have to walk through an active ballroom, dodging couples doing dips, in order to get to a small room at the back. All of this would be fine if they didn't charge the same price as the high-end gyms in town with state of the art equipment who keep their bathrooms stocked with hair ties, tampons, and dry bar products. Please lower your prices, and I will gladly navigate the sea of dancers between us. read more

BY FAR the best class I've discovered off of ClassPass. This is a killer workout that isn't strenuous on the knees & still a great sweat with music that's on point! Get ready to be sore all over because your arms, abs, glutes & everything else is worked out to the max. I've been absolutely hooked on Trampolean Total Body Burn and Booty Sculpt Legs & Butt classes. I always leave class feeling sweaty and sore. I have only been to classes taught by Brent and Louis, but both instructors are equally fantastic! The classes here are both fun and a great workout! The better spots get filled up quick, so I suggest getting here on time and getting a spot closer to the mirror. I love the versatility of the exercises here and how you can tweak your movements to go easier or harder on your body. I definitely recommend TrampoLean! read more

Took my first class here and was disappointed. The class itself was not super challenging, I didn't feel like I learned or improved on any skill, strength or weakness of mine. Got in some good cardio doing lots of basic movements you can do on your own... just with bouncing. Instructor was good, no issues there but nothing special. Music was terrible. Studio felt very unsanitary. Came to class early and I didn't see anyone wipe off trampolines between the two classes. Considering classes are barefoot and sweaty, I thought this was super gross. The fun playlists keep it upbeat along with the resistance bands and weights elevates this cardio workout to a well-rounded 50 minutes for full-body fitness. They have also added classes to target specific areas (abs, legs, arms, etc.) and have incorporated other fun fitness styles for a variety of unique hybrid classes. Insider tips: The class is located in the backroom of a dance studio, you don't have to check in at the front desk, just when you get to the classroom. Walk through the main dance hall to the room at the back right. You can enter the classroom as long as the door is open (otherwise the teacher is setting up or there is another class in progress). There is a tiny changing room/bathroom. It's best to come dressed already, no shoes or socks needed. There is room in the classroom to hang up your coats and bags. read more

I tried the 7:30 Tuesday trampoLEAN class yesterday for the first time and I am hooked. The music was awesome and pumped me UP. Jen has such a positive, welcoming energy and really made me feel comfortable and at home (so important in a new workout environment). She was super encouraging and pushed me to my limits, but I still felt I had the freedom to make the class my own and take it easy when I needed to. Fun class but it's one of those where you just try it once and say you worked out on a trampoline. The concept is creative but i can't say for sure how effective it is compare to normal toning classes. You definitely sweat but i think i could use a little more. Haha! Louis is a good instructor and really love the music he plays. Lots of throwback music which makes jumping on the trampoline more fun. If you haven't played with one of those since you were a child, it's going to take a little adjustment. As you get older, jumping up and down is quite more scary, imo. I think for most of the time, I was too worried about jumping out of bounds or tripping over myself so i couldn't really focus on my form. The studio is pretty spacious and is located within a larger dance studio. Like other Yelpers said, changing area is a bit small. read more

This is a great class for people who like HIIT/intense cardio classes. I took the Bounce Back class, which was described to be focused on posterior muscles like glutes/hamstrings/rear delts, but the workout was actually full-body. The bouncing really works your quads and core and we did tons of tricep/bicep/shoulder/ab moves with hand weights and resistance bands. The instructor, Louis, did a great job at making the class inclusive for all fitness levels; he gave instructions on how to make certain moves harder or easier. read more

I loved this. I probably would have bought a package had they pursued me. Looking on the website it was tough to justify without a bit more motivation. I know a lot of people probably complain about aggressive sales processes but I would have appreciated this from them. The workout was good clean fun and a killer full body experience. I was a little skeptical about a trampoline class as I kept getting visions of 80's spandex workout videos in my head, but let me tell you this - it is an intensive cardio workout. I wanted to try something different from spin class and boxing which I take at times at my gym. Louis is very clear with his instruction of the class and explains everything step-by-step. I like instructors who clearly demo what you need to be doing and then show you what needs to be done. I'm in pretty good shape and stay active and found his class to be challenging. Others in the class were not on my level and Louis was patient and encouraging. He worked with everyone and didn't get pushy or annoying. The space is busy and nice. The class was full, but not packed and we had plenty of space for the trampolines. They have a changing room for men and women. It's equipped with showers, but I didn't use them. Definitely bring a towel and change of clothes as you will work up a sweat and burn calories. read more

Don't think because its a trampoline its all fun n play... This class will whoop your ass! The full body hour is really intense focusing on your core, arms, glutes and entire body ! Louise is great at keeping you motivated and correct you when your not in proper form. Being on a trampline makes you unstable therefore your muscles work harder to keep you stable. I am not the most coordinated person, so going into this class I was very worried that I would look like an idiot and fall off the trampoline. Not the case. This class can work for all levels of coordination and I have yet to see anyone fall off the trampoline in the several classes I have attended. The location inside DANY Studios is confusing at first, but after attending class once you get the drill. The instructor, Louis, starts you off with some basic jumping, so you can get a feel for the space on the trampoline. Then you go through a series of various jumping patterns including high knees, twists, squats, etc. At several points during the class you get off the trampoline to do other exercises such as push-ups or sit-ups. Around the perimeter for the trampoline are several colored bungee cords that are used for resistance during leg lifts. In some classes hand weights are provided to intensify the workout. I believe there are different versions of the class that target various parts of the body. TrampoLEAN is a unique class that I have not been able to find anywhere else. Is this something I would want to do everyday? No, but it is something I enjoy throwing into my workout routine occasionally. read more

TrampoLEAN is a low impact, high intensity class that always leaves me sweating. I've taken a few classes now with Louis in the Dany Studio space in the garment district. The classes are movement from start to finish and you get out of it what you put in. Louis does a great job of encouraging all class members and switching up the routine so it doesn't get monotonous. The music selection is usually boppy and the beat helps you get into a good rhythm. The trampolines are smaller than other trampoline classes I've attended which sometimes makes me a little nervous when I get tired and pay less attention to my jump space but I've never had a problem with it. I had never heard of this type of exercising post the 90s so I was interested in checking it out. I went one Sunday to the butt and thighs class and I've been going ever since. LOVE IT! It's really fun to me. But don't let that fool you, it's absolutely a cardio workout and my face was so red and my back sweaty by the end. At the end of the class everyone talks about how challenging the class was because they thought initially oh jumping on a trampoline...easy. Not really. That said, I do work out 6 days a week and am pretty fit so it's not the most challenging work out ever for me but it's still really good...again face red and sweating so those who want a challenging workout, you'll get it. A little tip I think a lot of people going in will benefit from is not be so afraid of the trampoline. You get the best workout by doing what Louis says and really keeping your core tight and slamming into the thing with power. I think people are afraid they're going to fall off, which I'm not saying isn't a risk because I do lose balance sometimes, but you're only cutting yourself short if you go at it weakly. Louis is a great instructor and very motivating. I've only taken the lower body classes so far but I plan on going to the upper body soon. You really do work those glute muscles which a lot of people are wanting as summer comes. Just go, you'll have a great time. read more

This is a great workout - it has a mix of cardio and low impact strength training. I wish they had more changing areas/showers - for this, I would give the place a 4 1/2 stars if I could. Other than that, I got a full body workout. The instructor also points out if your form is incorrect in some sort of way. This class is for all levels of coordination, and it's fun. The instructor plays good music, and on certain days, he plays throwback songs. I would return again. Also, this class is in DANY(?) studio, so look for that. TrampoLEAN is my go-to class and Studio whenever I'm up for taking a fitness class. I've taken several classes here with both KiKi and Louis and both are great. My first trampoline class ever was the rave theme and I had so much fun laughing and jumping around. Louis' classes are always full of energy and good music choices and trust me, you will feel the total body burn. The studio can be a little confusing since the trampoline studio is tucked away in the back but I always enjoy walking through the main ballroom area to get a peek at all the ballroom/salsa dancers. Please note that you share a bathroom with others on the same floor doing different classes, and you hang your jacket on the side of the room, along with your shoes underneath your coat. The only thing that was odd is the location of the studio. It shares a space / bathroom with an older-aged waltz dancing class so the bathroom is packed.
