To begin with, this folks who work here were not the friendliest. None of these people like their jobs. Without planning too, e had a couple of the Pimm's Cup carafes. Here's why.
We sat down, looked at the menu and then sat there for about 10 minutes without any acknowledgement of the wait staff. We decided to leave; however, I stupidly left my phone on the table under the menu, so we immediately returned. We asked the host if they had my phone and he said none had been turned in. We were only gone a couple of minutes, so we asked him if he could check with the staff if they had turned in a phone. Nope, not there. I told my husband that I wanted to have a carafe of the Pimm's Cup and told him I was going to stay there until I figured out who had my phone. Sure enough, one of the waiters seemed a little too interested in the fact that we were using the "Find my Phone" feature. We went back to the apartment we'd rented close by, and I brought my laptop to the police station close by. I told them that my phone was in a parking lot across the street from the restaurant. Thankfully, I speak Spanish so we were able to make sense to each other. The cop (damn those guys were handsome), and three others, walked down to the restaurant with me and when I activated pinging feature, we heard my phone in the restaurant.
The waiter who I suspected had nabbed my phone immediately pulled it out of a drawer by the cash register. The look of terror on his face was priceless, and he told the cops in Portuguese that he had not stolen the phone. Of course, the cops did not believe him, and asked me if I wanted to press charges, and I said no.
The only reason I give two stars is that the guy who stole my phone was also cute; but, it's only worth one star. Overall the people in the place were not helpful or interested in helping me whatsoever. It was a great adventure, wasting a lot of our time in the process. This place is not worth it. read more
