Açaí bowls small/ medium

I still come here even after my review two years later. Açaí bowls and smoothie drinks are still delicious! Workers are still super nice. Still recommend this place for a healthier option in town!

Little update. The açaí bowls aren't as good as they used to be - they taste more icy now. Smoothies lack balance and have strange names + strange flavor combinations. I think they need to redo their smoothie recipes entirely. Smuggler heaven smoothie - very odd tasting. No mango flavor. Very almond milk heavy Aloer lover - all I taste is beets!! Literally a beet smoothie with ginger. Bleh

I am SO happy I stumbled upon this little gem! Trailhead Bowls is a santa Paula standout- I haven't had an Acai bowl this good in a long time. The service was great, staff was very friendly, and the menus were nice and big on the tv screens so you could see from wherever you're standing in line. The inside is simple, not one of those boujee aesthetic places but that also means the bowls aren't 20 bucks a pop haha Can't wait to go back!

Yum yum yum! I got the coconut base and wow it was so delicious. From the portions and the amount of fruit that I got, this was very affordable. The establishment is very clean and has plenty of room to sit. I ordered and got my fresh food within minutes. I have been craving another bowl ever since I had it!

So some people might not like what I am going to say. I was excited to see a local açaí bowl place opening up since my husband and I both love them. I love the variety of items they offer - Bowls, Juices, Smoothies, and Fresh Fruit. They also have other snacks and drinks near the register. Workers seem nice. I saw them working behind the scenes. I mainly interacted with the person who took our order. We've been here a few times already. We've order a few different açaí bowls. Even created our own. Taste is good but it gets watery really quickly compared to others we have had which has been a bummer. Smoothies we've gotten are also good but same issue. Gets watery really quickly. Not sure if recipe is still a work in progress or what. We hope it's the fact that it's still a work in progress and gets better. We will continue to go every now and then but not go out of our way to go. It's a local spot so we will still want to support whenever we can.

The best bowl and their blue cream is to die for !!! Also their almond butter is so delicious and rich consistency. The ladies are also so nice and welcoming very professional.

I then decided that this would be my post-race meal. Fast forward to the next day, sore legs and all, I still wanted this as my post-race meal, so I placed a to-go order knowing that this would be the best option for me to get food right away. When I got to the Thousand Oaks area, I wish I had more time to have my meal properly, sitting down at the restaurant, but I took my order back to my car and chowed down quickly so I would have enough time to get to the airport. My vegan chicken and waffles were essentially a Belgian waffle topped with fried oyster mushrooms, accompanied with syrup and a side of mixed fruit. I couldn't stomach the fruit, but I the oyster mushrooms posing as chicken were delicious!! Especially with syrup on top. The waffle could have been thicker and crisper, as the one I was trying was soft in texture like a thawed out frozen waffle. Next time I am in Cali, I would love to stop by and have a sit down meal properly inside the restaurant. It was such a gorgeous day for brunch and while I couldn't take in the full experience, I am glad I enjoyed a delicious meal.

The outdoor seating made the whole visit even more enjoyable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and service was smooth from start to finish. We ordered the "Some Chicken on a Waffle," and wow--the portions were incredibly generous! The menu mentioned three pieces of chicken, but we definitely didn't expect them to be that big. Everything was delicious, but I could only make it through half--this is absolutely a dish you could share. Great food, great service, and a really nice atmosphere. We'll definitely be adding this spot to our regular rotation!

A very busy Saturday before Mother's Day. I love the WaitList they use through Yelp. I have been…read morehere before and waited over an hour to be seated. I was with my daughter and 2 granddaughters, celebrating Mother's Day. The patio area is very pretty, with the water fountain and umbrellas. The inside was like a cozy home decor. Very comfortable seating, It was very loud. I ordered the french toast waffle with fresh strawberries, kiwi and berries. I declined the whip cream and nuts and didn't use the melted butter and syrup that came with it. My waffle was delicious, with mounds of fruit, although mine was delivered about 10 minutes after everyone else, and it wasn't a french toast waffle. My daughter had the traditional eggs benedict with potatoes, which she enjoyed. My pregnant granddaughter had eggs benedict, but removed one of the english muffins and added avocado. She was very happy. My youngest granddaughter also had the eggs benedict, but with fruit. We all left full. The service was very good, in spite of the busy day.

Visited More Than Waffles Saturday before Mother's Day for brunch. Was originally excited to try…read moretheir food as their menu is extensive and had many options available from classic breakfast plates, Mexican twists and of course, waffles! While two kind waiters originally came to our group to just offer coffee and water, a hostess randomly came up to our group and rudely said "well, your group has been here for 40 minutes now and still haven't ordered and we need the tables". First and foremost, our group had not been there for 40 minutes yet, and if we had been, that would have showed how delayed their service was. Secondly, the hostess came off very rude and aggressive, she could have asked if we were just ready to order. Finally, we had been waiting for someone to take our order the entire time! We kindly advised we had been waiting to order. She ruined the vibes for the entire group, and we did not feel welcome for the rest of the experience. The waiters were extremely kind, just not whoever the hostess was on 5/9/26. Waffles came out first, would have made more sense to have them after the main meal. Eggs Benedict were very traditional, seasoned well but nothing to rave for. They definitely have a different take on chilaquiles, not what I was expecting but decently seasoned. Food is around 6.5-7/10. Well seasoned, flavorful but not unique. Not coming back to this location to due the experience unfortunately.

At 9:30AM there was already a line with about 5 parties ahead of us. We only waited for about 20 minutes and we were able to sit al fresco to enjoy the sun & people watching. I ordered a Cortado with Oat milk for my espresso kick and my husband enjoyed the Tuscan Sunrise juice from the seasonal menu (fresh pineapple, orange, carrot, ginger, lemon and tumeric) that was refreshing and restoring. I loved their signature Breakfast Lasagna, which was fully stacked and hearty - layers of bacon, bechamel, prosciutto cotto, spinach, eggs, and mozzarella, all smothered in marinara and topped with a fried egg. It's more than filling and great to share with someone who ordered brunch entree on the sweet side like pancakes or Belgium waffles. My husband had the Chicken Avocado Bacon Panini with Swiss & cheddar cheeses, butter lettuce, garlic aioli and caramelized onions. He asked to omit the roma tomatoes. I had a bite and it was yummy...great for a lunchy entree. We finished the meal with another season menu item, the Pistachio Ricotta Cake. I could have ordered two...not to share, just for me. It was really good and I hope they keep it to their standard menu. The service was at a slower pace, but the server did check on us periodically. We'd definitely come back as we pass through and look forward to enjoying more brunchy Italian fare.
