And no matter what sink in the house we were dumping the water in, it found its way back to the basement toilet. There obviously was a clog somewhere. We called The Clogfather and spoke to Tommy. He came and assessed the situation. The clog was in our water main. He gave me a couple of options. I selected the combination of snaking the drain followed by hydro-jetting the pipe since it's never been cleaned since we owned the house which is 14 years. Tommy explained that the main pipe should be snaked once a year. He discovered balls of tangled roots and grease. I was in shock. Tommy was so professional and knowledgeable and super friendly. What started out as a nightmare was easily resolved once Tommy took over. I highly recommend him and The Clogfather. I would not recommend this plumber based on my experience. Communication was extremely poor, with several missed appointments and little to no follow-up. He repeatedly claimed that special parts were needed to complete the repairs, but after weeks of delays and no resolution, my son was able to make the repairs himself. He said that it would be too dangerous to try and re-light the pilot light of the 5 year old water heater and that it would be safer for me to hire him to dispose of the old one, pick up and install a new one. He gave me a quote of $2600. Another plumber referred by a friend came and took a look after and safely assessed that the water heater was still working and safe to use and he re-lit the pilot light for me for $75. The other plumber actually laughed out loud when I told him the estimate that Adam gave me. He could not believe that I was given an estimate of $1900 for labor to install a 50 gallon water heater that cost about $750. Always comparison shop, ALWAYS. No really, ***ALWAYS!!!*** Especially women and most especially Women of Color. So tired of a certain men thinking that they can try to scare and take financial advantage of a certain women.

Replace the first floor baseboard with high output baseboard. Peter measured the job up and returned with Christian another day to complete the work. I admit I was impressed with the concern that was paid to how each peice was installed. A level and tape measure was used on each peice of baseboard to insure that when completed the entire run was the same height and on the same plain. Each cover was trimmed if needed so it fit together properly. When they were done they cleaned up after themselves and even helped me put my things back, which they didn't have to do. I could say I'm happy with the work they did and leave it there. The truth is I'm really impressed with the work did, it came out more beautiful than I hoped. They showed more attention to detail than they had to, and the price was very competitive. Its been 7 years and Pete is still doing really prideful work.
