We have been staying at Amil's Inn annually since about 2015. Their consistent high quality service…read moreand space is unique in our experience. The rooms are all very clean and fresh and the breakfast (and afternoon treat) is amazing. They accommodate my gluten allergy with amazing scones and cookies as well as the usual breakfast savories like egg bake, bacon, sausage, potatoes. They're our favorite place to visit and we will continue going back as long as we and they are able.

We based ourselves out of Amil's for two nights, and we were on our bikes only! The only down side of this lodging choice was the 2.5 mile ride to Amil's from the trail, but Hwy 131 was not super busy and felt completely safe to ride on. I'm not a regular B&B person at all, they are usually not my first choice in lodging. But this trip proved a B&B, AMil's in particular, was the best choice. Anita is the owner and proprietor of Amil's and she certainly knows what she's doing! The accommodations were super comfortable and the house, the rooms, the bathrooms and everything were off the charts clean. Breakfasts were also off the charts tasty and filling -- my only complaint is I could barely clean my plate there was so much to eat, and I didn't want to be rude by leaving anything to go to waste. Turns out the fuel was needed for the rides anyway, but....Yes, fresh wonderful breakfasts with ingredients from Anita's gardens, couldn't be beat. And endless coffee. We also enjoyed a morning stroll around the gardens and an evening sitting on the front porch watching the sunset. (The Cenex in town has a good beer and snacks selection and we enjoyed a dinner at the Hitching Post Bar in town one night). We didn't partake in sitting out back at the fire pit, but noticed the basket of s'mores supplies available for guests. Anita is delightful, and every detail was taken care of. Bottom line is Amil's was a lovely experience and I highly recommend staying here!

I did not expect the owners to treat me and my wife like honored guests in their own home, but that's how it is. Very interesting husband and wife team who are very skilled at making a rich experience and tailoring the visit to your interests. The coolest part of the stay for me were the happy hours that Dave hosted. We had a lot of fun swapping stories with Dave and other guests who were also up for some good drinks. Breakfast was also pretty awesome. The manor is a beautiful campus that exceeds the verbal description and pictures. Lots of richness in the back story can be gleaned from conversation with Dave. To be honest, we werent looking for a bed and breakfast or a resort like retreat since we came to do some hiking, do some leaf peeping, and do some tourist stuff with a friend. By the time check out came around, we wished we budgeted more time relaxing at the manor. Definitely plan to book here again next time we do a Wisconsin vacation.

What an amazing place! Friends and I planned a girls weekend and book the Inn at Wawanissee point…read more First off, this place is BEAUTIFUL! The grounds were peaceful and full of hidden surprises. The owner's Dave and Trudy were so much fun! They helped us pick and make reservations at an amazing supper club and local brewery. The breakfast was great too! Dave was always happy to take photos for us and fill our wine glasses too! Both Dave and Trudy kept us laughing all weekend long. I stayed in the Birds Nest room. It was very charming and well appointed. I loved the binoculars that were in all the rooms so you could watch the birds and other wild life on the grounds. There was also a hydro spa tube in the private bathroom which was so relaxing. Overall a fabulous place for a getaway! This was an amazing girls weekend! We are planning on returning next year!
