December 30th at 11pm, I check emails before bed and at 9:19pm, I have an email that they are canceling our reservations due to issues with waterpark passes and water. This was at 9:19pm the night before our stay. Stuff all packed, food bought for stay, little kids went to bed all excited for the next day. This was Totally unacceptable. Don't tell me they didn't know before 9:19pm the night before of "waterpark pass issues" Had my son home from Army for HBL, and this was his Xmas wish, to spend time with his family at the Wilderness. We always stay on the property at wilderness in March, but with Holiday, didn't want to spend $1800 for 2 rooms, opted for this route... big mistake! And then after emailing back that 9:19pm the night before was not ok, they responded, they had emailed me prior. Well, not only do I NOT delete emails for at least 6 months, booking.com keeps record of all communications and THEY DID NOT email prior. Try calling the phone #'s and u get "call can not be completed as the party is unavailable." This is the 2nd strike for this hotel... NEVER AGAIN. Crappy people who do not care for their customers!! Spend the xtra $ if it's for the Wilderness and stay on property (don't in a holiday, prices are crazy)

Rooms looked and smelled clean. Microwave and fridge was nice, as well as the two person table. I saw old TVs in the pictures but we had a nice big flat screen. Shower was slow to drain but it didn't bother us. Loved that the sink was outside the bathroom so someone can get ready while another person showers. Bed was clean and comfortable. For the price with wilderness passes, we will definitely be back.

There's a nice clean pool that totally does the trick on a hot day. There's a game room with a pool table, foosball table, air hockey (I think--we just played pool each game just 50 cents!) It's not Martha Stewart but it has a wonderful relaxed vibe that's perfect for a stay in the Dells. The room is totally adequate. Nothing fancy but just fine and clean. As someone said, the look is a little dated but it's awesome if you like retro. We found the owner to be super sweet, helpful and personable. Her easy-going demeanor rubbed off and just made you feel good. There's so many things to do in the Dells we knew we wouldn't spend a huge amount of time in the room anyway so we we looked for something inexpensive. This was very reasonably priced and made us happy. Will totally stay there again.

She searched the bed and continued to say it was mosquitoes. She moved me to another room and then later came back to show me that she had found a mosquito in the other room. But look at the pictures. These are not mosquito bites!

We found this place after another hotel was full, and the owner mentioned that his friend had just renovated it. The price was right and the guy on the phone sounded adorable, so we booked. - Price: Amazing! $60 per night for a place that's much cozier and better-kept than what you would usually pay $60 for. - Owner: Adorable older man, extremely nice. - Location: A bit out of the way (30 minutes north of the Dells) but right near the lake. The place is on a residential street, and laid out like a standard motel with all doors facing the street. We ended up liking the fact that staying up here let us enjoy a lot more of the lake than we would have if we stayed in downtown dells. - Ambiance: Our room had a kitchenette and couch, which was great for hanging out with friends and playing games. The kitchen was stocked with classes, bottle openers, utensils, etc. - Bed: I slept extremely well. One con: There seemed to be sand on the floor (had to keep wiping my feet off). Make sure to vaccuum this place before new guests come! Overall, for a budget weekend trip we were not disappointed at all. The price is on point for what you get.

That's a negative and a positive, but mostly a positive. Look. This motel has been serving people for over 70 years and it SHOWS. But I LOVE the vintage wood and the cool retro tile in the bathroom. I wish there was more of it tbh. The rate is decent for the area. $75 a night for two double beds and Owners seemed friendly on the phone. They have good check in procedure. They were accommodating on my late check in. The bad: Okay. I've been to a lot of these mom and pop roadside motels and I expect a little bit of grunginess. This one just crossed over my threshold of forgivable dirt and I think it just needs a good cleaning. See, most of the visible areas were clean. The beds were mostly clean, the floors were decent. Shower was clean as was the toilet. But the more hidden areas had a layer of old dirt that was simply beyond what I can forgive, even for a roadside motel. I've been to a lot of these old motels and while a lot of them are OLD, they usually take special care to clean them. This one...ehh. Not so much. A few of the towels were literally black and totally stained and need to be replaced. The wall in the bathroom needed a good wipe down. These are easy and inexpensive fixes. So all in all, not bad. Not great either. About average, hence my rating.

That's right, the wifi is free and available on demand at the front desk. - The room is spacious and clean. It also comes with a microwave and fridge. - The beds are comfortable and the same size anywhere else you go. - The shower has hot water and comes with a shampoo and soap dispenser. How many hotels have that? None that I have seen so far. The bad: - Front desk clerk was not very friendly or nice. - Wifi cuts in and out if your not close to the original area of wifi and has a 2G extension. Who uses 2G anymore? - Room is not updated, it has a small, old TV. - This place doesn't have ice. You have to bring your own. Basically, this place isn't bad for a one night stay, but for an extended stay for the price of $80 isn't worth it. If you plan to stay an entire weekend, find somewhere else with a better quality than this place. If I could do it over again, I would try to find someplace else with better quality for a better price.

The river is right and your back yard and great for fishing my husband caught some Northerns, a bass, and a catfish it was a great get away we had a blast. It was so peaceful out there I didn't want to leave! We enjoyed sitting in the back and listening to nature we saw a variety of fish, turtles, eagles, frogs, various birds. We enjoyed sitting around the bonfire, playing games, fishing, walking on nature trails, all the simple pleasures. It is a perfect getaway to spend with friends or family and enjoy nature and each other. My husband and I both came back with a different attitude, less stress, and it truly reminded us to slow down and enjoy the little things. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful get away. The owner is very nice and lives up the drive from cabin which you can not see from cabin (very private).
