Rude and abrupt. When they 1st opened they had specials on weekend days with gun giveaways, free food, tents, free stuff. It was great. Now just pricey ammo and rude bossy people. Gary just cut me off started talking to someone else.I have bought two guns here, rifle and a semi-auto pistol but was treated like that? Ill never go back even though they are right down the street. Called the shop on November 20 to see if my guns arrived after getting a notice they arrived on November 17. The nan who answered was rude and abrupt. He said the shop will call once the guns are processed, but right now there's nothing to process, no backlog. After visiting the shop today, I found out my guns were there, but no one bothered to let me know. Today is November 29. I don't recommend you use this shop for FFL. Very disappointing. read more

I had an antique pistol in 22LR that was malfunctioning. Gary was the only person I could find that said he could fix it. So, I left it with him. Weeks go by and most of the time, "Gary is not here." Finally, after about three months, Gary tells me that he just can't find the part he needs. So, in about five minutes I find it on line, buy it, and he installs it. " It's fixed, he says. " I test fired it with no problem" So I pick up the pistol, take it out to a desert spot, and it immediately malfunctions, the same as before. I later find out, that it was another part that was causing the problem, installed it myself and the pistol now works perfectly. You can draw your own conclusions from this experience because I would never accuse anyone of lying to me. This shop has lots of good reviews, so MY experience is probably unique. Have done business with them 4 times. First was a transfer it was like pulling teeth to have give the other ffl their info so my order would ship. Second was a receiver that was the wrong model and had to wait over a month for that to be corrected. Third was a in store magazine purchase no way to f it up. Fourth and current still waiting on my pistol. Was told It would be here 2 days after ordering it's now 5. Staff lacks knowledge and customer service. Convenient location but I rather drive 30 mins away than deal with this shit. read more

MOST reasonable Guns and supplies store I have ever dealt with. Experts at cleaning and safety checking all your weapons. Other places have quoted me the same price for 1 weapon and I brought in 5! They offer gun safety classes as well. Family run and operated in VAIL. Not only did they do the above, they also reworked the wood stock on a few weapons. They love what they do. I used to visit this place, and buy products, but he decided to close the store about 6 months ago; "business closing", etc. That went on for quite awhile, but now I see the signs are out and lights are on. I was told by an employee that they took consignment guns, but the owner had to be at the store to do this. So 5 days later I went in and was told by the owner that he had no room for my guns. Well it looked to me as they did have enough room for some more guns. In all the 40 plus years of dealing with gun shops I have never been told this! I was in shock to here that he didn't want to make a good profit off of my firearms. So okay I took them to another gun shop and they said they would be happy to consign them as both were desirable guns . The sad thing is that I have bought a half dozen firearms from them in the past. I have always felt that they were a nice group of employees. This gun store is great, they are always busy with customers when I go in there. I have driven by for a few years since moving to Vail and I am glad I finally spent enough time in there to find out how nice they are and how much they appreciate each customer. The owner (and staff) is very helpful and takes time to help out customers whenever I have been in there. Don't be surprised if you have to wait for a person to talk to you because they don't rush through stuff which is a nice change in today's society. I overheard the owner talking to a new buyer when I was last in and he spent over 15 minutes going over how to use the relatively simple revolver she was buying. He also gave her an invitation to a practice day at the range and a customer appreciation day they put on. He then went on to recommend types of ammo for different uses and lastly he recommended she try out the pistol for a few weeks and go shoot it a couple of times. He said she could bring it back after and he would fully clean and check it for her and he would let her trade it for full credit if she didn't like it. I thought this might have been a nice thing he was doing for a first time buyer but the next time I was in the store I heard a similar thing offered to another buyer. I am surprised at the level of support this little shop is giving to their customers but now I know why there are always 3-5 people in the store buying something every time I go in there. I bought a couple of guns two weeks ago, am picking up a website order in the next few days. I will definitely be making another order in the next couple of days or weeks and will keep supporting this local business into the future. Thanks again TBO! read more

Great place to go. We come in quite often. Small selection because it's a small store but they will special order you anything you want--for amazing prices, too! Staff is very friendly. Gary will give you his good advice and points of views and he's very honest with you. Very respectable man who knows his stuff! Jerry, his wife, is a sweetheart. Mary is their current supervisor/manager and she's a very sharp girl! (No relation to Gary and Mary). Wouldn't do business with anyone else in the Tucson area. Looking forward to taking their classes they offer-- don't forget to ask about that! They truly appreciate their customers and if you ever attend one of their parties every few months, you really see how much it means to them--especially Gary! I will be completely honest. When the employees and owners got to know who I was, ive been treated very well ever since. Firearms is a business with a lot of " window shoppers. No enthusiast has all the guns he wants and is always trading and upgrading. Window shoppers can be annoying. Once you see a man and you know that every time he is there its to spend money, it stands to reason you treat him as a regular. Therefore, i have no complaints about this store, they offer competitive pricing and they are knowledgeable. Had a little trouble getting my special orders but stayed on them and eventually got it. I gave it 4 because no one is perfect. read more
