I've had Traditions quite a few times from catered orders. The food has always been good. The spicy boneless chicken they have is by far the best thing I've had from here, SO today myself and a friend decided to come in for lunch. We assumed since the food is always pretty good when catered why not eat in. Obviously (2 star review) we were wrong. First off the whole lunch was almost an hour and a half ordeal. There was maybe one other table seated. We had to ask for the menus, get up and ask to order, and get up to bring the check up front because service was so freaking slow. Anyway..the food: -Chicken Sandwich (Shnitzle): 2/5, I ordered this because of the chicken I've had when they catered so I thought it'd be the same. It was not. Very dry and tasted like frozen precooked chicken cutlet. The ranch dressing "saved" it and gave some flavor which made it edible. I felt gross and nauseous after eating this though. -Alaska Salmon Entree: 0/5, my friend ordered this and asked me to try it because he said it tasted like hot dogs. I'll put it this way...hot dogs would've been a step up from what I tasted. It was like a fishy flavored piece of rubber. Not once in any of my 100+ reviews have I scored food at a zero. But this was absolutely horrendous. I had to spit it out immediately. Really REALLY bad. -Sweet Potato Fries: 2/5, honestly probably the best thing I consumed here and even these kind of sucked. They weren't really fries but more like fat mushy wedge slices. Edible, but not very enjoyable. Overall I will never return here again for a meal. It actually really sucks because the food that I've had numerous times from the catered orders has always been enjoyable but today was just disgusting. The place itself is dungy and run down feeling, I felt like I had to wash my hands AFTER eating because the table, menu, ketchup bottle, just everything felt scummy. The prices were also pretty crazy too, almost $20 for the sandwich, & almost $30 for the rubber salmon!?! Cmon. I really wanted to like this place for lunch as I'm in the area often, but after todays experience I will most definitely avoid eating here.

I had gotten take out from traditions originally. I had a hamburger and fries. They where at best ok not really that good i ate about 3/4 and tased the rest. At this visit I can not say anything about the service as I did not go, Food was picked up by my daughter. The second time I actually went to Traditions for a party. There where arrox 40 guests for my daughters after wedding party. The service was excellent and the food was pretty good. We had a big private room which was nice. Because the food was just ok on the take out but much better for the party. I have to give it 3 stars only. I would of given them 4 stars if it was just for the party.

What kind of meat is this? Have never seen Corned Beef that looks like this!

Just ordered take out and it was terrible. Very disappointed as I have ordered many times in the past, but it's been a while. I ordered a triple meat sandwich to get extra meat to share with corned beef and brisket. I don't know what the corned beef was??? It looks like some kind of processed meat. The sandwich was $ 29.00 I have never seen anything like it, and it tasted just horrible. The coleslaw was soured and had to be thrown out. Last time ordering.

Kosher on Central this is a meat place and I mean meat all around this place was renovated not long ago its pleasing and simple interior we came on a weekday evening a bottle of water, pickles and cole slaw were instantly placed on our table nice touch menu offers hearty meals such as fried chicken (nice n crispy crunchy )and big sandwiches plus the usuals like fries, kasha varnishkas, creamed spinach a stand out is their homemade round potato kinish decent sized portions reasonable prices on the sandwiches we loved our friendly waiter with a funny sweet attitude sadly he was the ONLY waiter which slowed stuff down there was some sort of event being held in their other room so maybe that's why the slow service because of the decent food and the waiter we will be back

There is a take out side with 2 tables and than a restaurant side with about 15 tables. Two different entrances but all connected. I was with my mother and sister and we came in the wrong entrance but quickly found our way. We sat down and were given water, lots of pickles, and cole slaw. We all looked over the menu and they seemed to have lots of choices. I ordered the fried chicken with a side of kasha varnishkas. The server was friendly and funny but the problem was he was the only server for the whole place. I felt bad for the guy. He was doing the best he could but 15 tables and one server, there is something wrong. The service was very very slow because of this. I finally got my food and the french fries were hot and crunchy. The kasha was very tasty and had lots of fried onions. I could have had 6 bowls of that stuff. The problem came with the chicken. While the four big pieces looked very appetizing the chicken tasted like it was frozen/freezer burnt before it was cooked. It didn't taste like fresh chicken. I am sorry but that is why you are lacking 2 stars. 1 for the slow service 1 for the frozen fried chicken The prices weren't to bad and my mother and sister seemed to enjoy their food. Maybe I will give this place another try.

My personal favorite, the Edgar Sandwich with spicy fries.

The food is decent, but is totally overpriced in proportion to the quality of the food and size.

Scott was so accommodating when we asked him to let us tweak the standard menu and put in the foods that our family likes.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon with a group of nine and were seated upstairs where there is waiter…read moreservice. The menu is extensive and offered so many things that we wanted to try, so we did and shared. Buffalo wings - spicy, hot and delicious. Left us licking our fingers (good thing there was no one else seated upstairs at that time); Chicken whiskey club and hot roast beef sandwiches - served on your choice of bread with cole slaw, pickle chips and choice of one hot side dish (we ordered the roasted sweet potato (which was amazing!) and mashed potatoes with gravy); 1/2 wood-smoked Chicken dinner - comes with pickle chips, pickled red onion (whenever something came with pickled red onion, I called dibs on the onions) and choice of one hot and one cold side dish; House Burger - chargrilled, and billed as containing fresh ground brisket and short rib, and served with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, thousand island dressing (could have done without the dressing or having it on the side), cole slaw, pickle chips and one hot side (pit-smoked beans); Asian BBQ Crunch (a salad, I know, who orders a salad in a BBQ joint (okay, this isn't a "joint")?) - contains grilled chicken and the greens and other veggies tasted fresh and crunchy. The dressing, a sesame ginger vinaigrette, was tasty and not cloyingly sweet; Korean BBQ Beef Rice Bowl - looked delicious, but I didn't have a chance to sample it. Other dishes were ordered and a dessert (too stuffed to try the dessert), and the bill was not astronomical. Definitely a keeper for kosher and/or smokehouse-craving dining.

Insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe this is kosher…read more Hands down one of the best barbecue restaurants I've ever had. They have actual good quality service is great as well. It's worth the drive if it's a little bit out of your way I drove one hour to come try this place out and was definitely worth it 10 out of 10. I wish I could give it more than five stars. The ranch is crazy taste so milky and so is the nacho cheese insane

Cool, modern space with accompanying menu. No table service-- you go up to order-- but they come to…read morethe table with your order. Avocado toast, cream of corn soup, cream of mushroom soup, grilled salmon sandwich -- we loved everything we ordered. They also brought a carafe of water to the table ( and refilled it when empty!). A nice touch. Kind of on the expensive side for a non-table service restaurant, but what isn't these days?

Parking on the busy street is tough, but there's a public lot in the back. It's a small kosher…read morerestaurant about the size of a L.I.R.R. car and very clean (including the bathroom). We were there for Sunday lunch. You look at menu, order from the counter, receive a plastic number to put on your table, and then wait for your order to be brought to you. In that regard, it comes off like fast food, but the food quality and preparation (at least as far as we could tell in our virgin visit) is better than most fine restaurants. The mixed salad (see photo) came with mixed greens, cubed sweet potato, marinated red onion, cucumber, walnuts, orange slices, pomegranate seeds, and a light sweetish dressing ... loved it. It also came with some sliced and toasted sourdough bread and butter. My cappuccino came in capped paper cup, as if I had ordered take-out and they never brought the Splenda I twice requested. My wife loved her quinoa salad. On two occasions, the servers brought food to our table that we didn't order. Seems to me it would be a better dining experience if we had a dedicated waiter/waitress. Otherwise, we loved the food and hope to try it again someday.
