There was a welcome sign outside and once I stepped inside I noted how organized and clean this shop was. They have snacks, alcohol (seems like half of their items are alcohol), ice cream, candy, cleaning supplies, pet supplies, frozen food, and hygiene items. They had everything that I would look for in a convenience store. The cashier was friendly. I got two snacks, a protein bar and some nuts, which came out to $10. I thought it was a little steep, but this is Beacon Hill. I would come back here again.

They also have a sizable alcohol selection. There is also a Dunkin Doughnuts here. If you want to buy gum or cheap snacks bring cash because there is a minimum for cards (either $5 or $10, can't remember off the top of my head). They also have a very large selection of flowers and potted plants (as well as cards) for anyone making a hospital visit. I bought a thanksgiving cactus here for my office and it's doing nicely. They also double bagged it in paper bags and put some plastic bags in for protection and insulation from the cold weather.

And the prices are pretty much fair market. Yes, your Lean Cuisine and Ben & Jerry's may cost you more than they would at Stop & Shop, but not exorbitantly so. And who expects big-box prices from a corner store? All in all, I am happy to have a place where I can leave my kitchen and be contentedly back there with some last-minute cream for coffee, milk for cereal, or wine for dinner all in under ten minutes and twenty bucks. Prices are on the expensive side, but fairly standard for Harvard Square prices. They have the customary selection of beers, wines, liquors, and mixers, but they also have a section of Harvard apparel (like T-shirts, sweatshirts) and Harvard memorabilia (like keychains, mugs, coasters, etc), so it is a great place to also pick up some souvenirs while you are shopping for your beer! I also like that they sell accessories to complement your drinking, like plastic martini glasses and plastic shot glasses for a party. Their hours online might not necessarily reflect when you are able to buy alcohol. I walked in after 11pm one night and even though they were still open, I was told that they cannot sell alcohol after 11pm (not sure if that is only on specific nights or if this is a nightly rule).
