Beer: they always have the staples that stupid kids drink (bud light, MGD) but they always have seasonals and other ales that you crave throughout the year! They definitely stay with the beer trends year round. Liquor: They pretty much have everything you need for vodka- absolute (in every flavor), Grey Goose, Bel, etc. Their scotch selection LOOKS good. I know that they have the traditional stuff - Dewers, Black Label, Maker's MAAAAAHk (but then again, I only drink scotch when I'm stuck in my 66 year old, man persona twice a year). For all you douch bags and frat boys, they carry Jägermeister and Red Bull, and they even have limes sitting at the register for your Corona light! Wine: my fav. My guess is they have a wine taster who acts as the buyer for this quaint but GREAT store because almost every bottle of wine I've bought from here is just damn good. The wine selection is limited, but has all of your staple red, whites, and a few desserts. Rest assured that you'll be in good hands when you come in here too. I've talked to employees about anything from starting to cary Malbec (which they did shortly after!) to having recently lost a lot of weight and not fitting in their sweaters anymore! Lastly, you won't be overwhelmed here, but they have everything that really matters!

For starters, the place is a dirty, dumpy, overpriced hole in the wall with little selection. I didn't find even close to what I would have found at a supermarket but purchased some items nevertheless. After having ignored me when I tried to ask a question, the employee exclaimed at the register, "If it could, the whole neighborhood would, F**K YOU!" I don't care what her excuse or reasoning was, her outburst was vile and disgusting. I told the cashier I would never return.

There was a welcome sign outside and once I stepped inside I noted how organized and clean this shop was. They have snacks, alcohol (seems like half of their items are alcohol), ice cream, candy, cleaning supplies, pet supplies, frozen food, and hygiene items. They had everything that I would look for in a convenience store. The cashier was friendly. I got two snacks, a protein bar and some nuts, which came out to $10. I thought it was a little steep, but this is Beacon Hill. I would come back here again.

In the back they have lots of wine and beer and they are extremely reasonable. I was able to find some imported beer that I have had difficulty finding elsewhere, and it was one of the cheaper places to get it. The wine is a similarly good deal as well. The workers are also really nice. I went up to pay for my beer (thinking it would be over 10) and it was only $9. You have to spend over $10 to use your card but he said it wasn't any big deal and didn't charge me the extra dollar or make me go get something for a dollar. I rarely find that here in Boston and that was cool. I'm really glad to have found this place because it's so close and convenient!

The selection of spirits, wines, and craft beers has really expanded. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of local craft brews and unique wines then now offer. The staff was incredibly and eager to help, offering great recommendations without being pushy. This place is your above-average corner quick mart. Three-and-a-half stars might be more appropriate. A bit more spacious, a bit more well lit, and a bit cleaner than one would normally expect - this place starts out above par but add the beer and wine license and it definitely pushes it well above convenience store mediocrity. You won't be wowed by anything in here - there is nothing too unusual or exceptional, however it is large enough to offer a bit of a wider selection. No one is very friendly here however service certainly isn't rude or poor, and while you may be able to count on some cross-eyed looks from Keno patrons, it never extends to the point of feeling uncomfortable. And the prices are pretty much fair market. Yes, your Lean Cuisine and Ben & Jerry's may cost you more than they would at Stop & Shop, but not exorbitantly so. And who expects big-box prices from a corner store? All in all, I am happy to have a place where I can leave my kitchen and be contentedly back there with some last-minute cream for coffee, milk for cereal, or wine for dinner all in under ten minutes and twenty bucks. Better still that it's coming from a clean, safe, small neighborhood business.

I also like that they sell accessories to complement your drinking, like plastic martini glasses and plastic shot glasses for a party. Their hours online might not necessarily reflect when you are able to buy alcohol. I walked in after 11pm one night and even though they were still open, I was told that they cannot sell alcohol after 11pm (not sure if that is only on specific nights or if this is a nightly rule).
