This is a nice Trader Joes in a busy area. Street parking hunting can be avoided because theres a Trader Joes parking structure. All the employees were helpful and friendly. It's a little crowded inside but it was also busy today. Saw some Trader Joe's branded ube cookies but the packaging makes no mention of the Philippines lol. Saw We also checked out the matcha items and were easily guided by an employee. Mike, the cashier was very friendly and made check out a breeze. Thank you!

Wide and picturesque Trader Joe's! Pleasing to the eyes and spacious! One of the best I have seen during my travels.

Elevator entrance from garage with posts full of old stickers

Trader Joe's has good service and products but... The garage entrance to the elevators is filthy and appears to never gets cleaned. Come guys, please clean up, there's tons of old stickers and the floors are really filthy

Come for the dark chocolate peanut butter cups! They are magic because of how fast they disappear, they're too good! The grocery store is different from usual grocery stores in that they don't have the typical brands. But everything is tasty. The service is friendly and the ambiance is nice and the store is always clean. Also as of March 2025 they have the cheapest eggs in Santa Monica

Had a fantastic visit to my favorite location. They had a lot of great new items. The best experience I had was with the staff members that helped me get everything l wanted I was with my girlfriend that's handicapped she needed some extra help getting items that she couldn't find and the staff went beyond & above just outstanding. Elana was extremely helpful. Leslie went out of her way and Cori found everything that we needed three beautiful ladies what a Fantasy wonderful staff members. They also had an item that they said was sold out Corri went in the back refrigeration and my made sure that we could try the new item. The manager was fantastic as well and Aaron the cashier was so helpful , appreciate the whole entire store thank you for the selections and thank you for the outstanding customer service outstanding

It's a small trader joes located in santa monica, which carries limited categories. The layout of cashiers near the exit is very weird, two sides of stations, customers go into the middle, which is hard to wait and form in an organized line.

OMG! New Cinnamon Roll ONE Bar tasted incredible now at TJ's.

Maybe there should be a special category for some businesses like this one that deserves 6-stars for their operation during the Covid 19 Virus Emergency. The strength and value of any relationship is determined during times of stress and crisis. During this period of the Covid19 Virus Emergency I have never seen any consumer level organization respond as well to the crisis as Trader Joe's. They must have some incredible management and strong relationships with their suppliers and distributors. While the distribution and organization lines collapsed at Ralphs, Whole Foods, Vons, and Target, Trader Joes did not skip a beat. They immediately responded by re-organizing their operation, store procedures, distribution methods, and stocking hours. They trained their excellent employees on new roles, assignments, and policies. They made sure that customers were safe with new shopping protocols and rules. They kept their shelves mainly stocked with most items almost every day when other stores failed day after day. It's as if they were an army practicing this for this assault for a year. Like they knew it was coming. If it were not for Trader Joe's, my life would have been a lot more difficult. They kept all the food flowing in daily allowing me not to have to worry while I was trying to help other people with their needs. That is why I will give them my unofficial 6-Star rating--something I rarely give. I will tell you, if you want to learn how to run a grocery operation, get a job here and work your way up.

REALLY BAD NEGATIVE ENERGY AT THIS STORE. Be cautious who's bagging your stuff and checking out…read moreyour groceries. I don't want to put anyone in particular on blast, but there are 4 specific men who work here who are incredibly rude. One man in particular who seems to hate everyone but needs to make sure you KNOW IT! Your grocery bagging will be aggressively taken into account with this anger. If you say "Hello" you're met with silence or anger. I don't even say anything and I'm still met with angry energy! It's to the point I try to do self-checkout or delivery because I can't handle the passive-aggressive stuff anymore. I could get into more of my theories as to why I think this is happening but nobody will stop it so that's why I'm warning people on here. The ladies are very kind. They work hard and are tired but have always been professional. I try to make sure that, if I can have one of them help me at the register, I do so. Parking: If you have an SUV and the lot is full, just leave, honestly please your car won't fit into the spots because people don't know how to properly park. I saw an elderly lady crash into another lady's car. They were in a full-blown argument. People will just back out into your car while pulling out and are not even paying attention. There is very limited parking spots because people park and then go to the beach or into the permitted residential area because there's no parking there. The illegal parking isn't enforced. There's also people living out of their cars. Prices: This place is expensive. Check your receipt before you leave. Lines and customers: Sometimes the line is long and sometimes it's not. Customers are mostly very understanding and they work together to speed it up. Inside the store the customers are polite. Outside the store it's way different. I had one man mocking me and harassing me because I wouldn't do what he wanted. I was pushing a heavy shopping cart and he was stopped, wanting me to cross in front of his car for no reason. When I signalled and told him to just keep driving, he started mocking me. Very odd. At night it's like the walking dead zombies. They do have a security guard but be careful in the parking lot. There is a man who wears all black and is unhoused/homeless outside. He hides between cars and will come out of nowhere like a shadow. There's nothing anyone can do about it, so be armed if he comes at you. I had to go running to my car and lock myself in with my groceries still in the shopping cart until he wandered away. This is around 9ish when they come out. I've been going here a decade. Never seen it this bad. I hope they open more self-checkout stations and tell some of these cashiers to seek mental health help. It's a stressful job, but take it up with management or the company don't take it out on the customer.

A well stocked main-stream supermarket in a neighborhood filled with high-end speciality food…read moreretailers. There is ample parking and it really is the only place around where you can buy supermarket basics at reasonable prices. From the security guard to cashiers, the entire team is really unfriendly. It seems as if they are all overworked and exhausted. When an entire store is like this, one has to consider that the problem is very likely to be a result of poor corporate policy and store management. I actually feel badly for the folks working at this store.

Been coming to this Vons for over 10 years.. But the service at this Vons is terrible…read more The only place I need assistance in a grocery store is the deli..and this is the worst deli I ever had to visit. 1- After 7pm, the deli is closed.. 2-regulary sell-out of meals on special by 5pm; instead of preparing more meals to be available. 3-the workers are usually MIA in the deli and you have to wait 5-10 minutes for someone to just show up. 4-will serve you an old batch of Chicken instead of the fresh batch.. 5-wokers always have a frown when you ask for assistance. FYI- Just visit the new Vons location at 710 Broadway. They always have everything in stock. Workers are much more polite. I'll preferably be walking 10 extra blocks to avoid this horrible location. I dislike giving bad reviews but some places are best to avoid. I usually do my grocery shopping

This neighborhood grocery store on Montana Ave in Santa Monica is a fine place for a freshly made…read moresandwich or cooked items in their deli case. They've got a nice butcher section with fresh meat and seafood. There's a deli case with close to 20 items -- ribs, chicken, lasagna, mac 'n cheese, soup and more, depending on the day. They've got about a dozen salads, including three potato salads, and about as many deli meats for sandwiches. The beef stew was excellent, the lasagna, chili and meatloaf also very good. The sandwiches are solid and very reasonably priced. Two things stand out for me here: their weekend barbecue and the tamales. Someone in their kitchen makes delicious Oaxacan tamales (which are not always available). These tamales are chock full of chicken mole -- perhaps the highest ratio of filling to masa that I've had -- and are neatly wrapped in banana leaves. The burritos are similarly pre-made and stuffed to the gills with the protein of the day. As for the weekend barbecue, every Saturday and Sunday morning they grill select meats from the deli (prime steaks, tri tip, chicken, etc) which you can buy throughout the day at the deli. The Farms also has fresh vegetables, premade salads and all the other items you'd expect from a neighborhood grocery store. Service is super friendly, and there's free parking in back. It's definitely a good spot for a meal to go.
