I've been to this location a few times now, and I guess it's time for me to write a review of this place. Honestly, of all the grocery stores big and small here in the Valley, Trader Joes is probably my least favorite. Over the years, I've tried to like them..trust me, I've TRIED. I just can't get into the Trader Joe's scene. It's not one particular thing that turns me off about Trader Joe's, but maybe its a variety of small things that irk me. For starters, I find thier food selection odd. Mostly prepackaged stuff, with no deli, meat counter, and very little name brand stuff. I know I know, I don't need to buy every single thing name brand, but there are some things name brand that I prefer over others. Plus, when I buy lunch meat, I want to go to a Deli Counter and get it, which they do not have. Just prepackaged meats n cheeses. I tend to buy mostly sandwiches here during lunch hour. Their fair priced, and right there. The first few times I went here, I was getting a Tuna Sandwich on whitebread. I liked it, and started buying it on a regular basis. Then, they stopped making it. Why? I dunno, but I haven't seen it in like 3 weeks. Just when I start liking something, it vanishes. Now all they have are tuna wraps, but they arent as good as the sandwiches. As for grocery shopping on a weekly basis, I will probably never be a regular here. The reason I frequent this Trader Joe's is because its A) close to my office, B) there's a decent sandwhich selection readily available, and C) thier staff is always friendly and helpful. read more

Can we just sit down for a minute and talk about Cookie Butter? Are you seated? Ok. If you have yet to try this delicious invention, please direct yourselves to the nearest Trader Joes and buy yourself a bottle. It will not break the bank, for less than $10 you can get a bottle of this delicious concoction (like a spreadable gingerbread / cinnamon butter), a box of graham crackers and some apples. Don't do this type of thing all the time, 'cause diabetes, but next time you have a party and need a suggestion for what to bring, this is for sure a party pleaser. On top of this, TJ always has great stuff to eat and drink. A decent selection of beer (although every time I go I wish it was a tad more diverse) and wine, and fresh produce (most of it with organic options). The staff is almost annoyingly friendly (not quite to Oregano's standards, but you get the picture)... and their stores are always clean and tidy. Even if all you do is walk in and buy a bottle of Cookie Butter (stay away from the cocoa swirl, it's too much cocoa and not enough cookie butter) you won't regret it. read more

I love Trader Joe's but this location not so much. The parking lot is really busy and the store inside and outside is really crowded. Too many cars drive by that are not pedestrian friendly, crossing over to get inside the store can be a challenge. I went on a Sunday so maybe that was a bad day to go, nonetheless I will still go. Employees are friendly so that's a plus. Flowers are very reasonably priced, I got tulips and they turned out well. Although I am somewhat biased (I admit it), I was shopping here before my son (who works there) was even BORN. This location is the closest outlet to our home in Phoenix, and although our permanent home is in Hawaii, we don't have TJ's here, and need to stock up on pet food, pet treats, instant coffee, soap, assorted nuts and dried fruit ... as well as seasonal items. It was DUE to this connection that we encouraged our son to apply there, and they are as great to work for as they are to patronize. You can't possibly go wrong. read more

I'm obsessed with so many of their store's products, the prices are CHEAP, the produce is fresh and I always end up with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers on my dining room table after a quick stop. The foods, wines, and household goods are high-quality and very reasonably priced. They have a good variety of specialty items, including gluten-free foods. I especially like their well-prepared cold foods such as salads and wraps. this trader Joe's location is one that I go to pretty often. Anytime I'm here in this area in Arizona I definitely stop here and pick up a lot of the things that I need. My aunt and my uncle both love a lot of the vegan options they have at this location try to stop here and get them a lot of the stuff that they need as well. The store is really clean and the storefront has really good curb appeal. It's also in a really good neighborhood. I definitely have no complaints about this location. I can't say enough amazing things about this Trader Joes. The other day I went to the store to get my groceries done, which I really enjoy. After spending over an hour picking up everything I needed, finally I made it to the friendly register personnel. She was amazing. All my groceries bagged and what do you know... My debit card does not go through . I don't have back up card. After she tried couple of times and no luck, she asks for the manager to help her. They tried every possible option but no luck. It was a debit card from Chase and I had this problem before. So I decide to call them. Long story short, they couldn't do anything because their system were down. Horrible, I couldn't use my own money. Enough about awful Chase, I am writing this review about my all time favorite grocery store. I apologized to them and told them my hideous bank can not do anything since their systems were down. I felt bad that they will have to put all of the groceries back. They said no need to apologize and said they were sorry I had to go trough the hassle. Not only that they showed sympathy but the manager would not let me leave the store without packing some dinner on Trader Joe's. How amazing are they? I was bit embarrassed of the whole situation even though it was clearly my banks fault, I must say Trader Joe's took that away and made me feel comfortable and safe. How does one write a review for an institution like Trader Joe's? I feel like everything has been said already--but I'll try to give you a fresh perspective. This is somewhere you can go for your staples AND for exotic things to spice up your "grocery life". The whole wheat pasta, organic peanut butter, organic dairy products, and alcohol (just to name a few things) are priced well below what you will pay for equal quality items in a "standard" grocery store. Add to this, you can pick up toasted seaweed snacks, soy and flax seed chips (my personal favorite), Goodies from the Zen bakery,exotic spreads, sauces, marinades, you name it! Do you refuse to eat Banquet frozen meals??? I categorically REFUSE to eat that yuckola --I'll starve first. TJ's has a giant selection of really, really incredibly diverse types of frozen meals. Indian, Thai, Chinese, vegan, etcetera. Like pizza? The TJ's frozen veggie pizza has yummy chunks of asparagus on it. I buy my olive oil there too. They have the best tasting Kalamata olive oil I've ever bought. I also pick up a masala curry simmer sauce that makes a few cut potatoes (is that potatos? Dan Quayle has me permanently confused) and carrots taste like a gourmet meal. I could write more, but you get the drift, right? read more

I love Trader Joe's. They always have such unique items available to purchase, but this particular location is lacking in variety. I have on more than 1 occasion had to go to the grocery next door after shopping here to get what I couldn't find. But I still love it and continue to return. They always have amazing seasonal items (for example pumpkin flavored everything, fall succulents, and cinnamon sticks for fall). Their flower bouquets are beautiful and fairly cheap! The wine section is large, comparable to other locations. I also enjoy seeing what dog treats and cleaning supplies they have. Don't expect to find much fresh seafood at this location but if you're a meat eater you are in luck. Once Trader Joe's begins carrying more items like the rest of the locations do then I will give it the 5 stars it would deserve. read more

I love the simplicity of trader joe's. None of their products have ever failed me, which is amazing. You can't beat the wine and cheese prices here and they have quite an assortment for being a smaller store in comparison to Fry's, Safeway, etc. Staff is always helpful and friendly! Although they get busy because of their location, I rarely have to wait in line too long. It's nice that they offer coffee to sample while you shop and they always are offering a food item to sample. We had found this type of brie cheese spread at Fry's that we absolutely loved but then we couldn't find it any more there so we were able to remember the name of it, El Presidente. I googled to see where we could buy El Presidente in this area and Trader Joe's came up as carrying it so we looked to see where a Trader Joe's was close to where we were by and went to this one. Very busy place on a Sunday afternoon around 4 o'clock. Tried to find it in the cheese section but couldn't so asked a very helpful person who was stocking the area. He looked and said they didn't have it, which I'm not sure why when I googled I got what I got, but I didn't mention that to him. He did make several other recommendations of brie including what he thought their best brie was. We ended up getting it. Cashier was super friendly and quick checking us out. I love this Trader Joe's. I enjoy the set up and how the aisles are fully stock with all items. Making it easy if you're on the go. From fresh flowers to pita bread and hummus to their veggie chips, Trader Joe's is hands down one of my favorite stores. It's in a wonderful location close to other great stores and restaurants such as My Sister's Closet, The Corner Store, LA Fitness, Snooze Eatery and so much more. This particular TJ's was organized, the staff was friendly, their products were in line with the expectations that I would have for any TJ's. Trader Joe's is definitely a cool place with a variety of options and when there is one close, I would definitely choose it over the "mega supermarket" chains.
