It's 4 stars to me, as I just moved to the Boston area from California where Trader Joe's are everywhere, but here they're 25 minutes to the closest 2 stores. Otherwise it's the same layout, same flowers, same vegetables and fruits, same every aisle, which is awesome! Great cheeses, wines, snacks, pastas and oils. Very disappointed in the quality of All products I've tried. I've tried a variety of products ranging from wine to tangerines and wasted a lot of money and time. The tangerines I bought yesterday were so horrible I had to throw them out. The only thing Trader Joes does well is marketing. They suck people in and the only ones who are satisfied are people with no taste buds and just ignorant about good food. I frequent Trader Joe's often. I've been to several in MA and in NY. The Trader Joe's in Danvers, MA is usually where I go. The personal is usually friendly and helpful. Today I was highly disappointed in the staff. A Tesla cyber truck was parked outside the store as I was leaving. One staff member called the others over and pointed to it, making vomiting noises. The other employees joined in mocking the truck. My daughter was with me and wondered what was going on. I had to explain that they were making fun of a customer's vehicle. I am not sure where that Tesla customer was in the store, but if they were within earshot they would have been mortified. And unfortunately, my daughter also had a lesson on how disrespectful adults can be to others. Please address the staff on this unprofessional and potentially hurtful behavior. read more

Not my favorite Trader Joe's location but it's the one closest to me right now so I'm here fairly often. Pros: great customer service, alcohol section with beer, wine, and liquor (the one thing this location has over Saugus and Burlington) Cons: Parking can be a huge pain because this location is in a strip mall with TJ Maxx and some other retailers. The store is less spacious than most other Boston area locations, but it doesn't feel too cramped. They do follow COVID safety guidelines very well (employee and customer mask wearing, social distancing, etc.). Since there are occupancy limitations and this store is relatively small, there's a chance you may end up waiting in line outside depending on the time and day you go. Thankfully the line tends to move quickly. I think the longest I waited in line was about half an hour, which fortunately for me was during the warmer months. read more

I ran out of my fav items - so very much in need for my TJ's fix! It was Saturday morning & I was in the area doing other errands , I thought should I try it? There's bound to be a long line .. so I decided on a drive by hoping to maybe get lucky ? It's never happened ( for me) where there hasn't been a considerably long line... But Saturday I saw no one waiting...is this some kind of mirage? Maybe they just aren't open? Nope - they were!: So I quickly found a spot, parked and stealthy high tailed it to the entrance.... And I was able to walk right in! Again, this store takes customer safety seriously. Carts are sanitized before they are given to you, etc. Inside it's very clean. Aisles are well- stocked and everything looks great. I was able to stop & read packaging etc without being mowed down. It did get a bit crowded in the freezer section...but not bad. I re-stocked with my favorite frozen meals, produce, bread, and snacks. No problem. I didn't pick up anything new & unusual this trip. Just wanted to keep it basic. I did hit the wine section ( well-stocked) again picking a couple favs only. The time spent waiting to check out was maybe 2 minutes if that. The cashier and person bagging my items were awesome. I love this location! The store is clean, organized, and easy to navigate. Not to mention, all of the employees are very friendly. I didn't have any trouble finding parking (TJ's is notorious for their crazy parking lots), and the lines for the cashiers were very short! I took off a star because they were a little low on stock in some areas, and their produce wasn't spectacular. However, this store DOES carry alcohol, and I did see some local brands from breweries in Everett. I'm surprised that this TJ's doesn't have a 5-star rating because every time I visit it never disappoints me! The service at all TJs is known to be phenomenal, and this location lives up to that standard. I've never encountered an unfriendly worker, even on the busiest days (usually weekdays 4-7pm and weekends mid-afternoon). The produce offered at this TJ is regularly stocked/maintained, even 1 hour before they close. Don't get in the Dan or Cynthia line. They spent over 3 minutes just talking to the customer (both customers holding their receipt). Which sure great customer service but what about the line of people forming? Is now the time to talk about your favorite home store and pumpkin bread. What makes it even more aggravating is Cynthia looked dead at us and the 3 people behind (there was no one behind us when I first started standing in line) and kept chatting for at minimum another minute in a half. Shelves are never fully stocked, theyre always missing multiple items in every aisle. Its a little cramped and the doorways are inconvenient. Don't think I have shopped there without almost hitting someone or getting almost hit by a cart at that tight exit. read more

Great spot--has wine, beer, and booze. The staff is helpful and friendly. If you don't find what you need for a recipe, Market Basket is a quick 10 mins away. Sometimes parking is a pain--there are a ton of shops in this plaza, so on occasion I have to park in timbuktoo, but it's a small price to pay. The lines (mostly) go quickly. Tips: Get the flowers. Grab the $1 cards. Talk to the people working the wine section--they have great recommendations. Let yourself try one new thing a visit--I've found some great stuff that way! Taste test! They're happy to let you sample products before you buy them. Think twice before getting produce--TJs just isn't the best spot for produce, particularly bagged lettuce, so make sure you evaluate it pretty solidly before taking it home with you. When I needed to grab something, I found myself waiting in line outside, with my baby, in about 10 degree weather. I really like this location. The staff is friendly and there are always free samples on the weekend. Who doesn't like free? There is a misconception that Trader Joe's is on the pricey side. I don't think so and I'm pretty cheap lol. My fav part of Trader Joe's is there small health and beauty section. The carry one of the best body butters I have ever used in my life. You must try! Trader Joe's ----- I love you man! In a strictly non-gay type of way....not that there is anything wrong with that..... This location is in your typical strip mall locale. So to say it is not much to look at is about correct. However, T.J. has it going on and then some. The selection is tight and prices are outta sight. I am a big fan of the blueberry breakfast bars. The selection is awesome with the right amount of variety. It is great to see a small store with a great plan and execution bring it all together. The help here is fantastic too. What else is there to say? It's Trader Joe's, the greatest thing on God's green earth, next to deep dish pizza and Kim Kardashian's backyard. The one I visited while in Peabody (pronounced "pih-boddy"), MA wasn't much different than the ones back home in Cali, with much the same inventory and layout, but maybe a wee bit smaller. I ended up buying a few snacks - chocolate biscotti, some whole-wheat mini chocolate chip cookies, and some vanilla mini meringues for my friends' infant daughter (she's too cute). Here's the deal. I'm a Market Basket Man. I went to Trader Joe's for the first time tonight, and was blown away by the store. The staff, the food, the selection, and the atmosphere were all stellar. The bottom line though, is that it's ridiculously expensive if you're used to Market Basket. I spent $70 on food that I know would have cost me about $35 at the MB. No wine no beer. If you are from out of state you might not realize that in MA grocery stores can't carry booze. This is really unfortunate because Trader Joes has such a delicious and cheap selection of libations. Here's a classic example of a business that I want to love so much, but has just enough things about it that annoy me to drop it to an ok rating from me. I am beyond thrilled that they now carry wine here, of course, something I've missed terribly since my city-dwelling days when it was a short trip to either the Cambridge or Brookline TJ's to pick up some 3 buck Chuck. The problem here, however, is that there is no 10 items or less line, so if you try to just run in for a few things, for instance a couple bottles of the aforementioned fine $3 wine, you can end up spending a ridiculous amount of time in line. This was the scenario yesterday afternoon, with lines extending down the aisles. I ended up putting the wine back and just stopping at Kappy's down the street to save my sanity. On the non-booze side of things, I enjoy TJ's products and for the most part, I don't find the prices outrageous. This is a wonderful place to get snacks and better-for-you boxed goods, but I'm shocked at how disappointed I am in the produce department. For a store that people turn to for all things organic, wholesome, healthy, and perhaps just a little exotic compared to what you might find at a Market Basket, there's just not much variety. read more
