I like this Trader Joe's - The checkers are really sweet here and everyone is so helpful here. I just stumbled across TJs frozen macarons and they are so good. You leave it out for 10 minutes or so and enjoy It's pretty close to the real thing. (it doesn't beat miette's macarons but you can beat the price) For produce I like the organic green grapes but it hasn't been in for awhile. It taste good frozen. I got the TJs orange juice (not the fresh squeezed) and it was just ok. I think I'll try the fresh squeezed one next time. read more

Trader Joe's is a must when I'm visiting somewhere because we don't have them in Denver yet, boo! This is one is shiny, new, busy and on the smaller side but it had all the basics along with yummies that I can tote with me on the plane like biscotti and chocolate covered edamame. Plus bananas are $.19 a piece--get your potassium on! They had peddlers outside the store which made it even more frustrating with the traffic of people walking in and out. read more

Throughout this pandemic, I feel very safe shopping at Trader Joe's (this one, and the Sunnyvale location too). They have very good protocol, and they are always on it, managing the line and the customers coming in. The store is never too crowded, and people are polite to each other in general. Truly sad. I have never experienced Anti-Asian racism till now, especially passive Anti-Asian Racism. And I can't believe I am experiencing it at Trader Joe's MTV. Legend says TJ's has got the most kind and good staff. But all legends are either real or a myth. I should've stood up for myself and said something to that employee and the manager. Can we take a minute to appreciate this location closing 10pm daily. How awesome is that? This is my go to TJ for grocery shopping and after a gym workout. Always plenty of parking and friendly staff members. Easy access in and out without congestion. I highly recommend their mini chocolate chip cookies if you haven't had them yet. This is a smaller Trader Joe's than others but what can i say I love Trader Joe's. I do a lot of my shopping here the staff here are great they are very helpful and polite and their services are always offered with a smile. I should have posted pre-pandemic just because everyone here is just so damn friendly! The organization of this location is unbelievable and amazing. It must not be easy for all of these dedicated folks and I've never once encountered anyone with anything short of a smile and friendly. Their signs outside are clearly posted to help you understand the process. They wipe down the carts for you ahead of time. The other day a nice woman was walking around asking every customer in line whether they wanted water because it was hot as heck outside. Anyways, what an amazing dedicated staff! read more

I would never go back to this Trader Joe's except it's the closest one to my house. They often have issues with refrigeration here which should make you think twice. Always check dates on veggies etc even though that sometimes doesn't matter. Twice in the past 2 weeks I've gotten arugula that has gone bad over a week before it's best by date. I have brought this up with employees here in the past. Tonight I also brought up the fact that a puppy on a leash was being allowed to walk around the store. This is a healthcare violation. It was a puppy not a service animal or a service animal in training. Not a single employee said anything to the customer. When I brought it up to a cashier she told me to tell the manager. I really don't understand why she couldn't tell the manager herself seeing how she was on the clock and it's her job. Sunnyvale Trader Joe's is much better. read more

Selection keeps going down :( Cheese blintzes our of stock six months, quoting "supplier problems"... Cashews... you know the regular raw whole unsalted ones... GONE!!! Seriously, don't tell me "supplier problems" they still got the salted roasted crap that's not healthy, or the bottom of the barrel "pieces" crumbs which I guess you can use for cooking... This is my go-to Trader Joe's. My favorite thing about it is the location. It's super close to everything and always so clean. The is also very friendly and courteous. I hate going to a super market and everyone looks stressed out. Not here!! Love this store. And as a whole, Trader Joe's always has great deals. Of the many wonderful things I can say about Traders Joes... The staff...always friendly, super helpful. DO... 1) Try the Chicken Tikka Masala. I'm not an Indian food fan, but I was feeling adventurous, and it's just chicken and rice. Get it, its delicious! 2) Make awesome Chili dip! Fan favorite, tried and true! 1 can of Trader Joes Turkey Chili with 1 package of cream cheese. Heat both on the stove and/or in the microwave until cheese is completely melted. 3) Get the chocolate. Small enough bars to satisfy a chocolate craving, and not enough to feel guilty after. My favorite for those coffee lovers...The Espresso Pillows... addicting! I only have one DON'T so far... And finding any amount of quality customer service during these tumultuous times seems as rare as finding a singing yeti with the ability to perform a soliloquy in a Shakespearean tongue. The immediate parking lot surrounding the entrance to this Trader Joe's is not big enough to fit the amount of people that want to buy groceries from this Trader Joe's. That isn't to say that people are deterred, it just means that finding a parking space within close walking distance to the front doors is nearly impossible. Inside during busy hours is horrendous. Almost elbow to elbow in every aisle. Long lines at check out. But, if you come in during an off peak hour you can be in and out in 10 minutes (assuming you know what you're going to buy and don't spend hours talking on a cell phone trying to figure out which brand of hamburger patties your husband wants for dinner). I prefer the Trader Joe's in Menlo Park behind Safeway and can't wait for the TJ's to open in Palo Alto. read more

I'm not sure how you can write a negative review about a grocery store. Not to mention a Trader Joe's. It's just wrong in my opinion. I love Trader Joe's, I'm not sure how I would survive without Trader Joe's It's impossible to get anything organic AND cheap. Sure the selection is small and yes the parking sucks - but WHO cares? If you want to get better parking than you might as well pay an arm and a leg and go across the street to Whole Foods. Beggars can't be choosers in my opinion. The service here has always been friendly like every other Trader Joe's and they take back stuff you don't like. Most of the food is good so you don't have to return it. Ok, a couple things you ought to know about Trader Joes. The first thing is high quality is not what Trader Joe's is about. You're not going to find the best choices of fruit, their frozen food section is not any better than other frozen food at any other grocer, and pretty much every item they have at the store is average quality at best. Also I'm not a big fan of all the food kits they have with exotic concepts but end up tasting anything but exotic. With that said, I love this place because they do have some good prices and they basically have everything I need. Also they offer a lot of convenience to some one who doesn't want to shop at the processed food isles of Safeway or Albertson's, and doesn't wan't to fork over $10 bucks for a bag of Almonds, that was directed towards you Whole Foods. So thank you very much Trader Joes, for helping me, a busy Silicon Valley-ite to be able to buy some simple whole food items quickly and to be able to eat healthy with little or no hassle and not break the bank at the same time. By the way the perfect breakfast smoothie is an organic banana (only organic, if you buy non-organic you're contributing to cancer and birth defects of the workers who pick those bananas so only buy organic it not only affects your health), wild frozen blueberries, and soy milk. Or pick up some organic kiwis, organic bananas, walnut pieces, and some greek yogurt, combine in a bowl and enjoy the party in your mouth. Love that stuff. I've been having such a good run lately, I'm sad to get back to 2-star reviews...and it's such a shame that it has to be a Trader Joe's too, because I normally LOVE TJ's. This was the first time I went to this one...and there were so many things to dslike. First, I was coming from California, and even though the TJ's sign is on the main plaza sign at the entrance, it was almost impossible to actually find the store. It took a lot of wandering and circling to find out that it's actually on the OTHER side of the huge-ass plaza. The aisles were narrow and hard to maneuver around. They were out of the olive oil wraps, but the people working there were helpful - tried to find them in the back (one plus), and told me that they would be in the next day. All the organic bananas were very very green, and the bagged romaine lettuce was turning brown. I bought two cases of fizzy water, so a guy helped me to my car (another plus). And because there were no cart-returns nearby, I had to take my cart all the way back inside (I'm not a leave-the-cart-in-a-parking-space or stick-part-of-it-in-a-planter kind of girl). Overall, not a very nice shopping experience...I'll be going to the one in Menlo Park from now on. read more

- I am sorry I do not have the receipt, but I shop here too often to keep all the receipts. - I know this is more than 2 months past the expiration date, but I have been abroad and just come back, sorry. - No, there is nothing wrong with this cottage cheese - I simply do not like cottage cheese, period. We bought it when my dad was visiting - he eats cottage cheese every day - but since he left, I have no use for these two tubs. They have not been opened, see?? :) In other words, they graciously refund money for anything you do not like or want or need, for absolutely any reason, provided you smile charmingly and innocently and bat your lashes feverishly and continuously. It is possible that they also accept returns from patrons who do not smile and bat their lashes - I simply have no knowledge of that. Here is my best example of customer service excellence at this store: I was running errands and got hungry. I suffer from migraines, and one of the most common triggers of migraine attacks is skipping meals and/or dehydration. As I happened to be driving near Trader Joe's, I decided to stop by and purchase food for eating it right away, to ward off a migraine attack. My plan was to buy: - the chicken salad called, I think, "wine county chicken salad", with pecans and dried cranberries, - pomegranate seeds, called arils (note that Safeway's pomegranate arils are rotten, but TJ's are always fresh). I needed a fork to eat the chicken salad and a spoon for pomegranate arils. As I was running from the parked car to the store, I resolved to be independent and self-reliant and find the plastic utensils without asking for help. However, just as I darted into the store, a young gentleman with a round face, big sparkly blue eyes, and a blond beard literally materialized out of nowhere right in front of me. - What can I help you with? At that point I had two options. 1) "F... off and let me continue on my quest towards independence and self-reliance". 2) "Please show me the plastic utensils." Since I was raised to be very polite, I had to choose option (2). Now, do you think that the young gentleman showed me the location of plastic utensils? Do you really think that he did? If you do, then you have not shopped at Trader Joe's enough to appreciate their customer service. The man, first, went to get me a few utensils. Then, he delivered the utensils to me and checked carefully to make sure that I achieved a good firm hold on them with my right hand. Only then did he point towards the boxes with the utensils so that next time I would know where to get them. Now, that is true excellence in customer service, and nothing short of it. read more

I used to LOVE this place. It's great for picking up quick grocery items without the time consuming shopping of a huge supermarket. The staff is always above-par, friendly, fast, efficient. But the last few times I went I was disappointed by not so fresh items. I once bought a grapefruit salad bowl. As soon as I got home and opened it up, it was completely rank. Another time I actually found a feather in the pizza dough (that I used to buy consistently). I didn't even bother to complain about it, I just stopped going. It's such a shame but if they would just be more careful about the quality of their products, I would probably go back. read more

Trader Joe's is the best. Yes, even better than George Costanza's infamous tv, sex, and food trifecta. I have a disease that makes me eat a lot of eggs. Apparently the disease is contagious because now my girlfriend does too. So when I go grocery shopping, I buy about 150 eggs. And I used to do this at Costco, because when you're buying in bulk that's where you go, right? Wrong. A couple of months ago, Costco raised their prices, and now a dozen-pack at Trader Joe's is cheaper per-egg than the Costco 60-egg monstrosity (of which I used to buy 3). So yes, I look like a fool buying 10-15 cartons of eggs at Trader Joe's, but goddammit, I'm a fiscally savvy fool (worthy of www.motleyfool.com!). Then there's the High Fiber O's. I used to think that I only like Cheerios cereal (how do people stand that sugary crap they call Lucky Charms and such?), and I used to think that GoLean! was the best way to eat healthy breakfast on the go, but both are wrong. Join the Church of High Fiber O's. And the cookie dough. It's the first cookie dough I've ever bought that I actually end up making multiple times, because usually the cookies aren't up to the tastiness of the dough they came from. But not these cookies. Will you bake me some? One note though -- skip the vegetables; they're generally Safeway quality (sometimes worse!) at Whole Foods prices (sometimes pricier!), although there are exceptions, like 19c/pound bananas. Great store, weird location. This Trader Joe's is located in the ancient shopping mall at the intersection of San Antonio and El Camino Real. Whoever built this place added on to the original structure - so it meanders around like the Winchester Mystery House and the entrance to Traders Joe's is located away from the main street. Aside from finding this place, the parking lot is a zoo and can be a challenge during peak times. This is not the largest Trader Joe's - but they have a good selection of produce and wines. I love their crackers, pre-packaged trail mixes and assortment of breads. Trader Joe's even has my kitties favorite treats. I love that prices are very reasonable. read more

I'm not a fan of this trader joe's location and this is based purely on their stock. I feel they don't have items that other locations have (such as the citrus body wash) and their produce (actually, this goes for all T Joes I've been to) is worse than safeway (in my opinion). The other store in Town and Country by Stanford is a lot better. Their service, on the other hand, is outstanding. I bought some bad meat and one of the managers told me to bring it back with my receipt and he gave me a refund no questions asked. This is how it should be. They're also really nice about opening stuff to let you try it (even if you don't ask). I love T Joes, just wished this location had more items in stock and (this goes for all stores) their produce was better. read more

Who doesn't love TJ's?! This one took me forever and a day to find though, but I called and the worker gave me directions that helped me out a ton. Lots of parking at this location which is a plus. I was able to find my wine and appetizers easily at this location, and they had tons of yummy samples going on! Was able to get in and out easily, and appreciate having a TJ's close by to run out to during my lunch break. read more

A good group of my friends love Trader Joes. Ive never really made it a stop in my weekly grocery shopping though every once in a while ill stop in and see what alternatives i can get from a drinks or cheese perspective. I think they shine more in the pre packaged or prepared items which im not as into and hence the lack of draw here. Yeah we love trader joes! They have so many unique, almost fully prepared things to cook at home that are quite healthy. We are always trying new things. Also the beer selection is great, and you can mix and match to make you're own six pack, I love doing this! There are always samples a free coffee so that is a huge plus. I love Trader Joe's, but this location is a letdown. The store's floor configuration is all sorts of wrong and doesn't flow well: - A third of the frozen food section can be found next to the fruit aisle - the dairy is hidden in the back near the wine ... why? - the check out area is oddly shaped..... I love you Trader Joe's! My lactose-intolerant self (well not so much anymore; I have built a tolerance!) - gets all my cheese from here. Safeway and even Whole Foods charges more for their cheese (and Orangina)! WTF! Example: Marscapone costs 2x in Whole Foods. Aiya! Anyway, I come here to stock up on goat cheese, brie, asiago, manchego, marscapone, you name it. And who doesn't love some Orangina? And they have 2 BUCK CHUCK - Charles Shaw baby! They are always stocked with some cheap white wine which I use for cooking. The other day I picked up a $4 bottle of Syrah that tasted really good - cooking and drinking wise. Pretty cool! The sandwich breads are pretty good as well. OH! And the Southwest salads. LOVE em. This is probably the only place I would ever eat frozen food from. They do a pretty good job. The prices here are extremely reasonable in comparison to other supermarkets - even the non-organic onces. The veggies are fresh, clean, neatly presented, and the prices are competitive (and/or cheaper) than Safeway, and even Mi Pueblo (the Mexican market on Rengstorff and Central). The staff are friendly and outgoing, and they all speak English. This place gets pretty crowded though. Oh well - TJ's makes for a good grocery shopping experience. read more

First time coming to this Trader Joe's location. -Guy at the sample station was very friendly! -Came here because i heard about the Zico chocolate coconut water that they sell here. Would I buy this again? YES, for chocolate lovers, you get the taste of chocolate without feeling guilty. So I get to the check out, forgot my wallet, and told the cashier I'd be back in 1 minutes (literally parked in front). I come back and my coconut water is not in the front anymore...and then all of a sudden the line got really long.... I really like the location because it's close to the gym! read more

I love this Trader Joes. Granted, I have yet to go to a Trader Joes I do NOT like, but that's beside the point. Everyone here is super friendly, and the place is very well staffed. If I ever have a question, I can usually find an employee to help me in, oh, about .8 seconds. Plus, I've never waited in line for more than a couple minutes. They cary all the standard TJ products, and I find that they are pretty well stocked. I'm That Person who comes in about five minutes before closing (only because I'm out of class about 10 minutes before 9pm! I'm sorry, guys!), so I feel particularly indebted to them and their non-scowling faces as they have to ring up groceries at exactly 9pm. read more

I really have to say, I have a love / hate relationship with this place. I love their prices for their food! You can go grocery shopping here and save a bunch of money on meats, frozen food, eggs and chips. They have some great frozen food with amazing flavor! I am very fond of the turkey meatballs. These can be eaten as a meal, with something else, or I have even put toothpicks in them and served them as an app. I love the different meats you can get here as well. However my #1 thing here is their low-fat cottage cheese... Best cottage cheese around, period. They also have beautiful flowers at amazing prices! Who doesnt like flowers? :) I hate their produce and lack of household items. I dont need them to carry cleaning supplies and all that, but when I go there to buy dinner, it would be nice to be able to pick up papertowl or toilet paper as well. I also hate to buy their produce. First of all, it never looks that good, and if it does look good that day, it wont look good the next day. I have had lettuce wilt the very next day. And the fruit I buy never really tastes as well as it should.
