Wine shop

I've always liked going to Trader Joe's but I've never been to one so spacious before. I learned that this location opened up a year ago and the business took advantage of the extra space. With the extra space comes extra groceries, produce, and plants that I haven't seen at the ones I frequent. Staff here is extremely courteous and helpful. They also have a full wine shop here along with beer and other beverages. Prices as always are reasonable. Although they will recycle bags for you they don't have the weekly prize giveaway you can enter for doing that. They have plenty of organic, vegan, and gluten free items along with a wide selection of meats and dairy. Even personal care items are expansive. I found their own body wash here that I haven't seen elsewhere. If I lived in this area I would make this my store of choice however, it is good to know when I come to the area to visit my daughter I can stop here as needed. Located in downtown Mentor, they have their own parking lot.

No aprons to ease down into the parking lot. Poor design!

It's a shame that the Sawyer House was demolished for this plot of land to build on. On the same token, I'm very thankful that I no longer have to drive to Chagrin to go to one of my favorite stores! This location is huge! A lot nicer than the Chagrin location in my opinion. It's overwhelming in the best way possible! My hubby got to experience shopping there for the first time ever. He really enjoyed it and said it's his new favorite grocery store. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The store flowed very nicely and was well stocked. The freezer aisle is Aaaa-ma-zing! A great place to stock up on quality, affordable foods! VERY vegan and vegetarian friendly food options! My ONLY GRIPE is on the exterior of the store. There's no aprons by the main entrances to roll your cart down into the parking lot! It's so stupid!!! Sure, there's one by the handicap parking spots. But, nowhere else! They paid big bucks to have that engineered? WOW guys! Other than that, I highly recommend visiting this location.

Staff is always pleasant and helpful. They will help you find an item in person rather than just direct you as to where to find it.

Such a great store. Fantastic employees. A company that actually stands behind their products. Love every single time I go there.

Great selection of usual grocery items. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Advice, show up at opening because it gets crowded quickly.

Jules was my cashier today, super sweet and helpful, and gave me free flowers as an appreciation for the drive out here.

Always clean, safe with friendly people willing to help. They have organic products which we enjoy.read more

What a nightmare. I…read moreplaced an online pickup order to be picked up yesterday from this Aldi location. I received a text that they did not have anyone available to fulfill the order yesterday so it would be running late. No problem! I dont mind coming late as this service is a convenience and I just appreciate not having to spend the extra time in the store myself. This morning I get a text message AND an email that my Aldi order is complete and ready for pickup. Great! I head over the store and bring my dog since they just bring it out to me and I wont have to actually go into the store. I get there and realize that the text stating my order was complete did not come with a link to let the store know I am there (like it usually does). No problem, I can just call the store directly and let them know I've arrived. Well, it turns out that in the name of saving money, Aldi no longer lists the number to stores so I am not able to contact the store directly. Normally I would just head inside at this point and let them know I'm here, but its been unusually hot outside and I had my dog with me (since I was not supposed to have to go inside) and I dont want to leave him in the heat incase they take a while to gather the bags for my order. So now I find a customer support number for Aldi in general and spend almost 30 minutes on the phone with customer service while I contact them, they contact the store, and then they tell me what the store said (efficient, right?) This is when they tell me that although the email, app, and texts say that my order is ready, they do not have my order. Apparently its "stuck in the system" and although every form of communication Aldi has says it's ready and to come pick it up, they dont have it. You might be thinking, what's the big deal? Why not just go drop the dog off and come back and shop for yourself? Great idea! Except the hold on my card is still active. So now I dont have any groceries and I dont have the money to buy the groceries in person, which although would have been annoying considering this whole process has already taken almost an hour of day, would have at least been better than not having groceries or the money for them. I tell this to customer support and instead of them being able to cancel the order and release the hold on my card, they have to "escalate" the issue and I wont get my money back until I hear from the escalation team which will take "at least" 24 hours - possibly more. So now I have no groceries, do not have access to the money to buy groceries, and will have to wait at least a day, probably more in order to get that back. What was the advice from the Aldi Customer Support associate as I ask what I'm supposed to do with no groceries and no money for groceries? "I cannot do anything about that" Nice.
