Pigfoot BBQ - 3 ribs from Pigfoot

First off, I'll state that this was the driest, most overcooked brisket I've ever had (and…read moreinevitably the worst overall), regardless of geographical location. Waited in line far too long, despite it not being nearly as busy as other places (this was at Rib Fest in Pittsburgh, BTW) and when I finally got to the head of the line the guy working behind the counter pretty much treated me as a fleeting thing and dumped a bunch of fatty meat and grease - there was literally a pool of grease in the container. Bad flavors, bad service. Terrible overall - if this place even tried to exist in a place like Austin it would be shutdown within a quarter due to competition. Nah the signs are misrepresentative of what this place has. So frustrating to go to a supposedly award winning BBQ place and it's literally the physical embodiment of a shart.

At the Pittsburgh Rib Fest, my husband and I purchased a sample of three ribs from Pigfoot. The employees served us promptly and politely. My husband and I thought that the ribs tasted better than most of the other vendors' ribs. We would have preferred that the meat be more tender, but the ribs were a large size and contained lots of meat. According to Pigfoot's website, they sell additional foods such as pulled pork, BBQ chicken, beef brisket, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, and bottles of sauces.

Trader Joe's always has an interesting selection of interesting things to eat. I was very partial to the blueberry lemon hand pies, which I don't care anymore. They used to have strawberry rhubarb pan pies now they just have strawberry rhubarb mini pies. I wish I would bring back the blueberry lemon and hand pies The staff is very friendly and helpful. The store is always well let and warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I'm really glad that Trader Joe's is right around the corner and I highly recommend that everybody in Lake county, the patronize Trader Joe's.

I bought flowers here for my daughter's rehearsal dinner to decorate. They were such lovely arrangements, we used them at the wedding reception bar for additional decor. Fresh and they worked beautifully. They get new flowers daily! They also have buckets they can fill with water if you buy enough and need them! I came in on December 23 and got a few more stocking stuffers! The young lady at the check out asked if I found everything. I said yes, except the cinnamon candy's with the dragon on the front. She rang her bell, a gentleman came to the checkout and be fore she had completed my order, he had found them and brought one for me. I was really grateful and they explained it was over the ice cream, I like chocolates which are over the other frozen items. Great customer service! So glad this store opened on the east side! Highly recommend for the freshness, flowers and great team!

What a nightmare. I…read moreplaced an online pickup order to be picked up yesterday from this Aldi location. I received a text that they did not have anyone available to fulfill the order yesterday so it would be running late. No problem! I dont mind coming late as this service is a convenience and I just appreciate not having to spend the extra time in the store myself. This morning I get a text message AND an email that my Aldi order is complete and ready for pickup. Great! I head over the store and bring my dog since they just bring it out to me and I wont have to actually go into the store. I get there and realize that the text stating my order was complete did not come with a link to let the store know I am there (like it usually does). No problem, I can just call the store directly and let them know I've arrived. Well, it turns out that in the name of saving money, Aldi no longer lists the number to stores so I am not able to contact the store directly. Normally I would just head inside at this point and let them know I'm here, but its been unusually hot outside and I had my dog with me (since I was not supposed to have to go inside) and I dont want to leave him in the heat incase they take a while to gather the bags for my order. So now I find a customer support number for Aldi in general and spend almost 30 minutes on the phone with customer service while I contact them, they contact the store, and then they tell me what the store said (efficient, right?) This is when they tell me that although the email, app, and texts say that my order is ready, they do not have my order. Apparently its "stuck in the system" and although every form of communication Aldi has says it's ready and to come pick it up, they dont have it. You might be thinking, what's the big deal? Why not just go drop the dog off and come back and shop for yourself? Great idea! Except the hold on my card is still active. So now I dont have any groceries and I dont have the money to buy the groceries in person, which although would have been annoying considering this whole process has already taken almost an hour of day, would have at least been better than not having groceries or the money for them. I tell this to customer support and instead of them being able to cancel the order and release the hold on my card, they have to "escalate" the issue and I wont get my money back until I hear from the escalation team which will take "at least" 24 hours - possibly more. So now I have no groceries, do not have access to the money to buy groceries, and will have to wait at least a day, probably more in order to get that back. What was the advice from the Aldi Customer Support associate as I ask what I'm supposed to do with no groceries and no money for groceries? "I cannot do anything about that" Nice.
