I love Trader Joe's! This location is about twenty minutes from me and I always leave happy. When I moved to Arizona last July, I was always bummed by how dirty and dark most grocery stores were. I love making a special trip out to Trader Joe's to help brighten my mood. I've bought plenty of plants from here that all survived (including a fiddle leaf fern!). I love all of the fun snacks, vegan options, and great produce. I never have to worry about the quality of produce here! The wine and beer selection is vast and cheap. First of all, every single employee is outwardly friendly and helpful. Some definitely more than others, but all nonetheless. I never feel a burden asking for help! Secondly, one time I came in and asked if they had any spare product boxes I could use to help in an upcoming move. They didn't have any left that day, but went out of their way to get my name and number to come in the next morning for some. When I came back, the workers were expecting me and helped me get them to my car. Above and beyond and was such a blessing! read more

Let me start off by saying Trader Joe's has and still continues to be the only ones who really follow the cdc guidelines for grocery stores. No joke since Az got word of COVID and all the changes they did it right. The only allowing X amount of people in, sanitizing their hands out hands. Letting us see them all wiping down the carts. And for some reason our Trader Joe's was really never "out" of anything sure they set a limit on most items but they really they were always fully stocked minus that crazy TP outage that was all over. Lol I have been a Trader Joe's fan for as long as I can remember growing up and to this day it's still my fav place to shop for my produce and snacks. Sorry Trader Joe's the only thing i don't enjoy are any meats. But their seasonal amazing face products and hair products get me all the time!! There are tons of groups to join to let you know what's new and upcoming and what's being discontinued. Lately Trader Joe's has been having tons of great products tho. Update!!! Scary!!! Wow. If you have to get groceries I highly recommend staying the heck away from Trader Joe's right now. The employees controlling entry have zero concept of social distancing and even when no one else is trying to get in or out still plant themselves in the middle of the door, dancing and partying and making it impossible not to pass by super close. Customers seem to think it's fine to come super close and even reach right over you if they just say they're doing it while they're doing it. Confusing back up of line where people smush together waiting for a register all down the last aisle. Employees planted at end of aisles get right in your face to ask if you need help. Employee directing people to registers also got super close, grabbed my cart and put her hands all over it. Really scary and I almost just walked out and left my cart. Always a friendly experience. This location can be a little busy, I understand why. Currently outside waiting for 8am open. Well stocked, clean and inviting. Even let me try their brand of "peanut m'n'm's for free! Will consistently return, I am sure. read more

I always love Trader Joe's and this location is managing public health safety well. They have a clearly marked like with waiting points and are regulating how many people can come in at a time. My only complaint is the management of the check out line. They hug the like close to the wine aisle, so if you're even glancing at the wine it causes confusion of "who is or who is not" in line for check out. Some rope helping to divide that aisle would be appreciated. read more

Horrible customer service. I've visited many Trader Joe's in Texas and have never had a problem with returning anything. However, I was told that I would have to go back to the original Trader Joe's that I purchased my item from to return it. I understand that their store does not carry this particular Trader Joe's marked item, however I don't understand why something that they will throw in the trash would be a problem to return. I also explained to the manager that I was visiting from our of state and that my flight leaves in the morning, he just said "sorry, you have to take that back to the other store""," which happens to be over 30 minutes away and close to closing time. This experience has really soured how I view Trader Joe's. read more

I ABOSLUTELY Love TJ"s! I just wish it was closer to Avondale, so I'm having to travel 20-30 minutes. This location is set back from the main st. Bell Ave. so you have to be on the look out for the sign. Parking is plentiful and grocery carts are right outside the entrance. Fortunately I know exactly what I'm looking for so I quickly grab those items and then I'm able to just casually browse the aisles. I Love how friendly and helpful their employees are! One of my favorite grocery store for healthier food. This store is always welcoming with seasonal plants or food outside by the entrance. One of the first things my eye catches as I enter is the large array of flowers and plants that they offer year round. Of course, the flowers and plants change with the seasons, but they are always fresh and so very pretty. After browsing the flowers and plants I move on to the fresh produce area and take a peek of all the wonderful fruits and vegetables that they have to offer. Again, some of their produce is also seasonal. At the moment they have a lot of pumpkin flavored items throughout their store for the fall. Their fresh produce is reasonably priced for what you are actually getting. Nice to know that they offer organic items here for a very reasonable price. Usually, after I look over the produce, I head over to the sample table where they offer samples of what some "hot" item or item that is seasonal for that time of the year. This past time they had several samples, one was a pumpkin soup with pumpkin crackers. The soup was just okay for me as it was more on the sweet side, but the crackers were delicious. They also had a pumpkin bread and pumpkin cookies where were also delicious. I always look through their frozen section and their dairy/meat departments as well. They have so many items that look so yummy! Bad thing, I always come right before lunch and so I want to buy everything in the store!!I l really like that they offer a wide variety of each item so you have choices. The store is always well stocked and organized. Never see boxes laying around with food items needing to be placed on their shelves. Workers here are very friendly and look like they actually enjoy what they are doing. Always a positive experience when I come here. read more

Dear Joe, How do I love thee so? Let me count the ways. I come in about once a week. Its where I come to fill my kitchen and soul with happy things. First I pick up some fresh herbs right outside the door before I walk in, then some flowers (always plenty, colorful, seasonal, fresh, and cheap) right as I walk in the door, then I gaze the frozen section where I can always find something interesting and new to try, I will round the corner to the boxed items where you will find seasonal treats (lets say its November, they have Pumpkin EVERYTHING.) and then lastly but most importantly... the beer and wine section. You will find tons of great wines, seasonal beers, and usually a person ready to give you samples. The prices are pretty low for quality wine. They also have a few on the higher priced side if your looking to get a little fancy. The staff is always ridiculously curious, helpful and knowledgeable. And you will never wait in a line more than 2 seconds. And along with the wine sampling, in the back you will also find samples of a drink and usually some kind of seasonal fun snack. This store is one of my favorite places to shop. Its always super clean and tidy. The outside of the store is always organized and decorated with cute plants you can buy and take home. With shopping being such a stressful crowded experience its really nice that the first thing you see is cute little plants and homey decor to take your mind off the coming shopping list rush. Everything is always pretty much in the same places so you can easily find things you need without having to figure out where it got put "this time". They offer a nice selection of options that are usually organic or better made, no cheap junk. Everything in the store is super neat and organized, their shelves are constantly stocked and rearranged. I think one of the number one things that stands out to me and the reason I love shopping here is it reminds me of the small town I grew up in. You WILL see the same faces every time you go because the company takes care of the employees that work there and treat them good. In return i have NEVER in the 2 years I have been shopping here -experienced anyone rude or rushing. The staff in this store are always happy to see you, always helpful, even cheerful to see you, and you can tell they take a personal ownership over their store. It's the feeling you don't get when you shop at big corporation stores. The employees are happy to see you again and more than willing to help you find something or listen to a request to keep something in stock that was only seasonal. For those with ALLERGIES - they have lists at front of store that can help you identify which foods are safe for you to shop for! AMAZING. read more

I will seek out a Trader Joe's no matter where I am. This particular store is not my favorite TJs in the Valley (the one at Tatum & Shea is) but they sell the same great products and have the same type of helpful and fun staff working the aisles and the registers. Things you shouldn't be without in your freezer- Edamame Spinach Broccoli Gyoza Mandarin Orange Chicken Fried Rice You will find great tasting versions of all of the above in the frozen section at TJs. Their Mediterranean Hummus is a game changer. You can't find a better hummus at any store. read more

Very disappointed in this location. Sure, there's a Covid 19 scare, but there's no reason for the staff to act so panicky and edgy, ordering people around, actually yelling orders to customers standing in line. I think this is what Nazi Germany must have been like! The TJ's over in Scottsdale seems a lot less panicked and edgy. That store has much better, more calm people working there. I love trader joes period. This trader joes is great though I come in at least once a week, and I love how friendly everyone is! I love buying their seasonal items so delicious! I also come here for pasta, olive oil, specialty cheeses for an unbeatable price, butter, milk, cereal, their Mac and cheese, fresh herbs you can't beat their price on those either! And wine! So cheap, my favorite is the coastal blends since those are produced by Castro cellars in my home town. 4 dollars ain't bad! read more

My review on the size and claustrophobia of this place isn't about COVID . I just truly feel like I can't browse here or relax in anyway. Trying to maneuver your cart or yourself through this place causes me anxiety. Not to mention the way the line to check out is set up now. It extends the entire length of one of the wine shelves. Which sucks because you get glares from people thinking you are trying to cut in line or you are getting too close to them. GIRL GOTTA GET HER WINE OKAY? I feel like I'm at a busy airport when I am here, and that is not how I'm trying to experience grocery shopping. Trader Joe's is great, but it's not THAT great. We just returned from buying a few items at TJ's. I am impressed. It was our third store of the day. They were regulating entry at the door. One out, one in. Greeting customers w hand sanitizer. Limiting customers to two of each item. As a result there were items on the shelf. Checkers were friendly, efficient and optimistic. TJ has it together in this strange time. read more

Trader Joe's, you're a lovely store... up until I came to shop today. I wore a mask I've worn for months, a mask that is CDC approved & I was approached at the entrance and asked to wear a mask approved by Trader Joe's. I kindly mentioned my mask is an approved CDC mask, no other company has ever questioned my mask; I was then lectured on how Trader Joe's is a private owned company and can "make its own rules with regards to the masks". Companies like TraderJoes does not have a particular mask type policy that's enforceable. Further more, TraderJoes is not a private company. It is publicly traded and owned via stock holders. Plus companies cannot make policies that are to overwrite the law and the constitution. Highly disappointed in my experience today and I hope you do better. read more

I really like Trader Joe's, and typically shop here twice a week. However, I have been concerned since the pandemic began that the last two checkout stands are very close together, prohibiting social distancing. My discomfort increased dramatically when I was in there at the last checkout in the line the night of 7/24. It appeared that the person at the raised desk called an impromptu staff meeting. I was swarmed by staff members, some only wearing bandannas, who were actually brushing against me and crowding around. I said loudly "it's too tight here and there's no distancing," but was ignored. As an older, vulnerable person, I don't feel like getting sick or worse because the management of this store has no sense. read more
