Terrible and Unprofessional Service…read more USPS in Upper Marlboro has been incredibly frustrating. I was expecting packages today that were too large for my mailbox, but instead of delivering them to my door, the carrier marked my address as "vacant" and returned the items to sender. I literally saw the carrier in my neighborhood. After calling customer service, I was told this particular carrier marks mail as "vacant" if people don't check their mailboxes frequently. That's absurd and unprofessional. Now I have to wait another day for redelivery, all because of laziness or personal assumptions. Completely unacceptable.

It is refreshing to receive this type of service AGAIN! I have gone to several USPS locations in Rockville, Bethesda, Kensington, College Park and now Beltsville. I have to say the service and tone of this Beltsville location is superior than the others. I say it's refreshing because in today's world the type of service we receive is horrible. It's absolutely horrible to call any business for assistance and receive appropriate service. We're lucky to get a person on the phone and one who can actually resolve the issue. First, we would lose all manner of suspense in the lyrics credited to Sting; and, second, the narrator's devastating visual discovery of "a hundred billion bottles washed up on the shore," signifying that he's "not alone in being alone," would never have happened, because the bottle, carefully sent via USPS, would have reached its intended destination within the relayed projected time.
