I brought it back just three days later, but because the tags were removed, the staff refused an exchange--even though I had no return history and the purchase was clearly visible in their system. This is the second negative experience I've had at the Clinton store. The staff often seem unhappy and unhelpful, which makes for a frustrating shopping experience. If you ever consider…read morebringing your dog here for grooming, bathing, or nail trimming, my honest advice is: do NOT go to this Petco. A couple of days ago, I brought my dogs in. After about two hours, I received a text saying they were ready for pickup. When I was already two minutes away, they suddenly called to tell me that my Golden Retriever had been taken to the Emergency Hospital because he was bleeding. I was shocked. When I arrived, my first question was why they didn't call me before taking him to the ER. Noah S., the person who trimmed his nails, responded with a smirk on his face, saying he "did" call me. I told him he only called after my dog was already in the emergency room. I rushed to the hospital, and when I saw my dog covered in blood, with a bump on his head, and all of his nails cut down to the quick, I was horrified. Afterward, I took him to my own veterinarian, and the woman who transported him from Petco went with me. They did cover all the expenses -- but that does not undo what happened. I will NEVER bring my pets here again, and I strongly advise others to stay away. Please be careful.
