I was in the back of the store with two men filling out paperwork and getting the process started. Final check out was at the front of the store. I come up and explain I'm buying the mower and need to sign up for the credit card offering. The young man working the counter asked me if I would like 5% back on the credit card. I said sure why not. not realizing the offerings were either 5% back or promotional period of 48 months interest free. The young man signed me up for 5% back on a 4,000$ purchase that now has an interest rate of 27%. I paid 3 payments and owe more than I did when I initially purchased it!!!! I called once I noticed and got in touch with them and the credit card company. I was told they would honor it and fix the mistake. A month later I get a email stating they cannot approve my request. After paying 600-700$ in interest on my interest free card, I had to pay off the balance of 4,021.99$. I would have never purchased this mower if it wasn't for the interest free promotion they were running. I will never in my life do business again with Family Farm & Garden. It was my first and my last time. I wish I would have gone to Tractor Supply or Royal King. Please save your time and money and do the same thing.

Fun place to shop. They carry what you need, not what you want. They have lots of bulk hardware,…read morescrews and bolts. They have tubing that can be cut to length. They have paint that is a good quality that is very reasonable. Their clothing is designed for the person who is working outdoors. All of their feeds are from a family owned company. The store is designed so that you can get in, and get out. I enjoy the ability to park at the door run in get what I need talk to a couple of friendly employees and leave.

I am only giving 1 Starr because you cannot give 0 stars. I have lived in this town for 15+ years…read moreand for some reason I have been DUMB enough to still sure this place. EVERY time I stop in there is nobody else here and there is ALWAYS a wait. The only people that get service are the professional landscapers... and they go to the back and grab their own stuff. With today being the last time I will ever spend a dime at this establishment I will no longer wait 20 minutes (as the only customer in the store) just to purchase a 14" saw chain. Instead, I will use this yelp app to find the "other closest" and drive further fir better service. I recommend the same for you. Don't waste your time here. #imout #kieferequipmentsucks

I bought a Mahindra tractor years ago from Kiefer and it's been a good little tractor. We called…read moreKiefer to have some service done to the tractor and was met with attitude and told when and if they have time they would come and pick it up. They further stated they might come get it in a couple weeks and maybe month or longer to repair it. The problem is some broken bolts need drilled out and replaced. It's been two weeks and no call from Kiefer. It's hard to believe that a shop that sells you a tractor does not give a crap about you once they make the sale. They don't care that I need the tractor to cut grass and move horse manure. If and when they repair it my grass will be 8 foot tall but at least you won't see the horse crap. I called Wellington implement and they picked up the tractor the next day. Apparently there okay with making money for making repairs. Poor management is bad business Kiefer. Guess where I will buy my next tractor from? Not you.

I was a customer of the firm that sold out to AgPro. They did a decent, but not excellent, job for…read moreme. (Side note: Their place in Wooster was far better than the one in Copley, which moved to Norton and became AgPro.) What I've learned about AgPro: They're hateful to deal with. These are people who either do not know what they are doing or don't care. Perhaps both? Had I known this I would NEVER have bought a John Deere product. I'm going to keep my JD tractor but the next and subsequent times it's serviced (once/year regardless of hours) I will be taking it to an independent organization -- not AgPro. Note for those who may be considering purchasing a JD product: According to two JD dealers with whom I've spoken, JD wants to deal with large firms only -- those that can "control" their territory and essentially create a monopoly selling "Green Fleet" -- think AgPro and Hartville Hardware, as examples. That's why you will never seen the "better" line of JD products for sale at a small independent store. The ones available at the "big box" stores are lower quality products -- lesser warranty, lesser quality engines, thinner sheet metal on mower decks. So, as a JD owner my recommendations are: 1. Do not buy John Deere. (Side note, FWIW: I love my Kubota stuff. There are other good ones and I'll be exploring further as I seek to replace my Deere tractor.) 2. Do not deal with AgPro. You have been warned. Final comment: My experiences are totally consistent with those of the prior reviewer.
