Knowing they had some samples out for display (to compare kibble size), I drove further to come to this store. I explained to the girl working what my issue was and she immediately began searching through samples, comparing sizes, shapes, smells, and colors. We ended up with a near perfect match! (Ended up being same brand, just different flavor!) Before she knew I needed quite a lot of food too, she was willing to give me handfuls of samples so I wouldn't have to spend my own money. I ended up getting a bag of food anyway since it was more than a few handfuls I needed but I was super grateful. I love non-chain stores. Their prices may be a few cents more, but it's well worth the great customer service and I love how they carry higher quality brands. =)

You can tell they are dog-lovers since there is about twice as much aisle space dedicated to dogs as there is to cats. The selection of cat toys and brushes was still impressive for such a small shop, though. They also sell various other pet supplies, from birds seed to fish food. The staff is nice. The man at the counter was advising other customers about dog food and gave me some advice about grooming brushes for my cat. He recommended one but said they were all out, and told me when he expected the next shipment in.

I have seven or eight pets at any given time so it's nice to be able to get everything I need in one visit. Their prices are fairly similar to large stores that can order more product as well so I'm pretty impressed that they're rarely much more expensive. I'm sad they don't have animals for sale anymore but I completely understand why - people will immediately point fingers the second their animal gets sick or dies, even if it's a long time after. I also like that this small town pet store is open every day - I often work Monday through Saturday and most stores are closed Sunday. Thanks, guys! I'll continue to do all my shopping here.

There was no Cool Whip left and one of the employees did a check for us, and found that there were *five* left in the back room, so she went and got them for us. Very nice customer service. Overall this looked like your standard target but it gets a good rating from me because of the customer service. I will say they didn't have lemons (or lime, for that matter) but they did sell lemon juice in a bottle (for a lemon pie) so that worked out. Large parking lot, also, and easy to find near West Rd.

So I left a little early so I wasn't late to work (it's been a long pregnancy journey and these really give me peace of mind), I got there and there were none is stock... a very helpful young lady helped me first. She said they just got in today, but had to have someone else come by to assist. Either way, just 5 minutes later, a male employee brought me the Pregmate bag... I am SO thankful for the quick and early help when they're very busy this time of year. I truly wish I got the two employees names that helped me, but ever with something so small, this made my day and my Christmas. These employees work so hard with little recognition. Thank you!! Merry Christmas.

They have created a large cat habitat in one corner of the store with toys, scratching posts and cat TV. There are also several cats that roam the store. In addition to the resale items they offer a large selection of handmade animal products including t-shirts, bandanas, magnets and catnip toys. Friends of Companion Animals also holds a few events like a Halloween Spooktacular dog walk. While this is not the best thrift store I have ever been to, we always take home a few good finds whenever we visit. Also you know the money is going to a great cause!

This time was no exception and I received exactly the personalized service I've come to expect from this store. This is a seemingly small store that is larger than anticipated because it extends far beyond what can be seen from the parking lot. Most importantly, it has the best customer service of any home improvement store I've ever experienced. I have been given great guidance in the past with paint and cabinet pulls. This time I was in need of wire to keep a wooden fence closed shut, as the gate would frequently open due to weather conditions or kids having fun. My concern was keeping the fence gate closed so we could let our dog out in the yard without concerns about her escaping from an open gate. Andrew listened to me carefully and helped me through the whole process of selecting wire and a lock to ensure my dog would be safe. I really appreciated that he was professional, practical and helpful. Thank you Andrew! I truly love this store and find the customer service far superior to what you would encounter at one of the major big box home improvement stores. I have also found their prices to be fair. Highly recommend!!

Recently stopped in after they took over and shopped several items I was interested in - 1/4" plastic compression valve was $14.99, almost double price at Homies. spark plugs I used to get for $2.79 are now $4.89, 6" Crescent adjustable wrench $24.99 - usually $15 or less anywhere else. Even a simple foam gardening kneeling pad was nearly 20 bucks for something that looks like it would be sold at a dollar store! Local hardware stores have always been a treasure, in my opinion, but these huge prices hikes make it much harder to shop here - unless it's an emergency or something small like a random nut or bolt.
