While I still miss the prior store owner, this is a classic place that has a lot of unique character. It is THE place to go for birdseed and feeders. If you are a backyard fowl farmer, you can get all the feed, cedar shavings, and mealworms you could ever need. Dogs, cats, and horses have plenty to find here. In summer I get my grass seed, for which there is a huge selection. In winter, road salts good to different temperatures be found here. This is a fun place to visit, and includes farm toys, farm fresh eggs, and clothing that lasts forever! read more

Love the Dexter Mill! While it is a bit outside of Ann Arbor (and no really "quick" way to get there), it is well worth your drive time. The place has the feel of a true country mill - they have amazing plants, straw, pet supplies, hay, potting supplies, dirt, mulch, etc, etc, etc. Annually I purchase my starter plants for my garden there - the sales associates are knowledgable and helpful while i am selecting just the right items. Hope evil places like home depot don't run great gems like this out of business! read more

Love to buy their plants and pansies, come spring. Worth stopping here! Small farm supply place. Wish they carried Equine Pellets. They do sell small rabbit hutches, but the price is WAY too high, compared to Tractor Supply. Is it b/c the hutches are already assembled? Not sure. Very friendly people. They always have a great selection of seeds and garden statuary here. And their cat, LEO who sleeps 24 hours a day draped over the register or on the bags of bird seed, has kind of become their mascot. He will jump on your shoulder and lick you and greet you eagerly... if, he's awake. read more

This store has everything I need for my horse and dog. Their prices are equal or less than online and you don't have to pay shipping :) they carry Solid Gold brand dog food which can be hard to find. Service is very friendly and helpful. I'm glad to live so close to a store that has a great supply of pet and equine items. Lots of carhartt clothing, too! read more
