We've been using Troy for all our wildlife nuisances and he now helps us with the excessive deer population. We would recommend him for all your wildlife issues. -- Amy S.

LOVE this store! Love it!…read more I always prefer supporting local businesses versus the chain stores or online shopping with all the wasteful packaging when I have the opportunity. Litchfield Pet Supply has easy parking and all the higher quality brands available for one to maintain the health of their fur babies. I always find everything I need when I stop in here. P.S. lol about review prior to mine. I'd laugh too regarding a question about Purina dog food! I wouldn't even want to shop in a place that offered Purina dog food and commend a shop that informed its customers of poor quality food choices. Now that's customer service looking out for the best interest of consumers instead of focusing on bottom line profit as big businesses that provide inferior products like Purina does. Guys, it's time for us to stop buying from these conglomerates that have polluted our food supply and comprised our health and the health of our pets. Ick!

Their toy selection is pretty decent for dogs, and they have some cute clothing :) They seem to run smaller than Target in terms of dog clothing, which is a shame because my poor pup can't fit into some of their items. The fish, birds, creepy scaly creatures, and small furry creatures all seem to have clean habitats and to be well fed. My own criticism on the layout is when the sun sets, it's blinding to look out the windows. I think that may be why the hamsters overturned all their bed to create more intense shelters than they already had. Cheers to the cashiers who are able to work through that time without hiding under the desk! I wouldn't be as strong.

My dogs also had an anal gland problem. My vet didn't see an issue. Because smelly dog and anal gland problems aren't serious health issues. But it was an annoyance in my life. Someone told me about Thomaston feed and how I might want to switch foods. So I went over to Cheshire one day and Nicci switched me to different brand of food called natures variety. She said because it's a richer food, I don't have to feed as much. My dog was overweight at the time so she told me to feed him a little less. Which is perfect because I have dachshunds and it is dangerous for them to be over weight because they are prone to back problems. Within a week of them being in the new food, they stopped smelling. I couldn't believe it. When we ran out of the Natures Variety, my father started feeding them pedigree without my knowledge and I noticed them smelling again!! And sure enough I found out they had been eating something different. There is no denying that there are good and bad foods out there for your dog. And Nicci is very passionate and will take the time to explain the difference between the different foods. And it turned out she was right! My dogs are older now. I have a 10 year old and a 14 year old and they are now extremely healthy and active!
