I love the great feel of a clean store. I also get some supplies and shelving there that was cheaper than retail price and it was good quality as well as strong enough for the items I am storing in it. I love this store and hope to come back soon as it is my favorite store to go to and closest.

We know Job Lot stores don't seem to get a lot of love. It's a bottom-line centered discount…read more"department" store and we doubt they expect affection from customers. But we think they deserve a little extra credit. Sure, they have some good products at discounted (sometimes VERY discounted) prices, and every now and then there's a stumble. But the store's employees (at this location, anyway) seem well trained, pleasant and helpful when we're around. Further -- and importantly -- the store has a sense of community responsibility, which is probably part of a larger management philosophy that we heartily approve of. One example: if you buy a winter coat for the store to donate to the needy, you get a $40 store certificate in return. It seems a good deal for those in need; we know one of the recipients, and we think this is a genuinely caring project. So yeah, there's an occasional complaint, but overall we're very happy to shop here and expect to continue doing so.

Clothing, hats, and (tons of) jewelry are in fabulous condition, but the prices reflect that. If you're looking for a fedora or a ladies hat to go with your vintage Chanel, this is the place. I'm not sure where you'd wear it, but check out the long green velvet cape in the front window. Very Gothic, or Jane Eyre, or fairy princess. Some furniture, books, and other stuff, but the main attractions are the dozens of unusual fixtures hanging from the ceiling. There are also floor lamps. One-of-a-kind stuff. But, again, the prices give you pause; a pair of Deco milk glass pendants were $895. Lamp repair seems to be a major thing here, and they'll also do appraisals (I don't know if that's just for jewelry or what.) Fun to browse, but I haven't been tempted to buy. The guy repairing a lamp in the back said hi but didn't offer any help. And I think this is the kind of place where you need help.

Amazingly, Karen, the owner, is not only extremely knowledgeable and helpful but knows where just about every little thing is at all times!! While the jewels are my primary target, the lamps and vintage clothing, especially the hats and furs, are to die. I have been shopping here for many years, as have numerous friends I've sent in, and am always surprised by the treasures I discover. Since moving to NYC, I long to make more frequent visits as even the city does not boast stores of this quality in terms of selection, value and expertise. I have also had several pieces repaired - including a Robert Lee Morris belt buckle - all of which are now in even better condition than they had been originally. Other reviewers have mentioned that the prices are either high or unfair and I strongly disagree. Clearly they do not understand the value or quality of this type of merchandise. Karen carefully selects, repairs and restores costume jewelry from many well-known jewelers as well as anonymous original pieces - the likes of which are often cheaply replicated and may be difficult for some to distinguish from the real deal. Trust me, it is worth it to by an authentic piece that you will either have for many years or be able to resell at a later point.

I will not be proofreading this there may be some slight spelling errors So yeah I mean I'm not one of those guys to not put the word out for what I'm about to say the reason why I started going there and honestly that's probably helpful cuz they'll probably keep even more on hand In fact I should stop there tomorrow cuz I said I was going to buy a lot more cuz I haven't had them anyway Yeah I know you know one girl that I'm seeing really likes to studded I like the studded and it's interesting because lifestyles actually I don't know if they originally made Rough Rider condoms but I mean I'm 43 I remember those from like gas station bathrooms You know that's we joke around in there I mean the employees seem about generation X-A's there's at least two gentlemen that work there To be honest I have tunnel vision I'm not even for I don't even notice the freaking videos around his stuff until I'm just starting to walk on the door I'm like yep they're there But no the very first time I went there just for the hell of it I just like zig and zagged up and down the aisles I just wanted to like kind of chuckle it like some of the things that people think of but to each their own it's not about that it's just you know you see like ridiculous shit that's kind of funny and yeah that was my first visit there I was I couldn't find studded anywhere I Rough Riders are tough unless you buy them bulk on like Amazon and I know you want the original packaging with that chick on the motorcycle whatever it is I don't even know that's pretty sad actually but it's been a while This is a long review cuz I'm talking to the phone I'm doing it for a reason I completely wholeheartedly agree They're not judgmental They're around generation XA age and all I mean think about it that's pretty much the pinnacle before the world went the other way I mean I don't want to get into politics or anything like that religion type stuff I understand that's a no-no Unless it's like the right person you just want to have a little discussion so I won't go there about things that I understood for my IT background before things happened like just hinting 40 years have passed were at just about the year 2000 now the groundwork's been laid and 20 years from now let's see Yeah that came out of my mouth I just wanted generalize that anyway my point is you got 9 million people in this freaking world I mean everybody got so soft like yeah I'm sure the owners much older they speak with the owner There's two different gentlemens interacted with they appear to be in there maybe 30s possibly late 20s One time I was there I don't know if he had his girlfriend or she actually worked there I wouldn't doubt if she worked there you know I mean that's the way it is I mean I was always once I hit a certain age My mother knows everything I mean she's still alive but like she she knows she knows anything I'm so I just don't care I'm open I'm honest It doesn't matter but I was trying to explain to her how women nowadays are tenfold worse than guys and ever you know it's it's weird but it's it's one of those things it's kind of like if you ever smoked marijuana and say like seventh grade and you thought you're the only one that was me by the way and then all the sudden you know your uncle introduces you to real stuff is very shortly after that and then you realize a generation ahead of you your father's brother cuz your father had passed away very young Using this term not literally everybody smokes Well I mean it's all demeanor thing I'm not going to get into ethnicity but I could just hint at I could guess the one and somebody else probably could too that I'm not sure why I guess cuz I don't know I guess it's just the view from migrating here in that culture I respect it but I mean a tobacco shop wherever you go it's it's really hard to really it's almost like you're you're bothering them and they're running a store it's weird but yeah this is going to run on forever huh I'm talking to it and no but no for real like I was looking for the study ones I don't know like 3 months ago I knew that place was there never stopped there Never had a reason to I go to Walmart and Target and by 12 facts of whatever not red they break but we like the study and you know I found lifestyles you know started I've seen lifestyles rappers of the Rough Riders I've assumed those aren't this aren't the real thing but I guess they're control I don't know We just like those They have the ultimate studs they have kind of a rubbery sort of feel to it so it actually makes using a condom sort of a pleasure both ways so you know that's nice I mean especially you know regularly I'm sure people know I mean stamina so yeah that's that's a cool thing you know Haven't seen on a very long time Just called on a win cuz I was

Walking inside, the high ceilings and the balloons everywhere were the first things I saw. Luckily, the balloons are contained to the front but there's a lot of them. The first aisles have seasonal (at the time, Easter) and the rest do have what you need for day to day living. Also, perhaps things you don't ... I don't really need a cup holder trash can, but it's adorable and now it's mine. It was only a few bucks too, the cost value is what you've come to expect. This works better on some products then others - the baby blankets were very cost effective, also very thin. The aisles are pretty well faced, and there's nothing blocking the floor. The cashiers seemed very friendly, but were so efficient you didn't spend much time with them.
